why would they do that ? Plenty of other blokes who'd jump at the chance, might even try to take Arry back before MPo.
-
don't see why, they still have the same problem areas at the back, they've definitely lost Paulinho and no doubt Sandro so barring some miracle from Lamela I can't see much room for improvement in the short term. They were playing well but not scoring enough, bit like us really. Playing Capoue at CB is a stupid thing to do though, he's not that great in CM but a CB he's a disaster waiting to happen. Chichires, Vertonghen and Kaboul must be injured I suppose.

zip, sacked crazy decision, shouldn't have sold Bale should they if they wanted success.
-
nothing wrong with the tackle anyway, Haidira is just a big fairy that's all.
-
wishful thinking more likely than not, can't see them sacking him this side of Jan 1...too many games before then.
-
don't think so, nasty vicious tackle by Paulhino, could have dropped his foot at any time but instead he chose to give Suarez a little back flick in the ribs with it, I'd give him 6 games for that.

Wasn't Di Matteo at West Brom at one time ? He'd be my favourite for the job.

Post Match Reaction: Newcastle United 1-1 SAINTS
Window Cleaner replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well from my memories of the first half yesterday I'd say that the absence of Schneiderlin makes it difficult for Steve Davis to play his game, seemed to be back helping out JWP all of the tie yesterday; In the second half we looked more assured in the middle allowing SD to get forward and link play which is what he does best. For me (and I could be wrong) JWP isn't strong enough to be left alone in a CM position. -
and who else is there then ? we are down to the bare bones as Arry would say. The U21s aren't the solution. Been a long time since we've had such an injury crisis. Lallana was supposed to be doubtful for last week's game, guess they filled him with junk to get him through but there was obviously some sort of reaction. With Gaston being just a passenger in the squad we didn't (or so it would seem to me) have much other option than to put the walking wounded on the bench.

He's right, Arsenal were just shîte today, might have well as played 4-0-0-2, no midfield at all at all. Ozil,Ramsey,Wilshere and Flamini all dire, just kept giving the ball away. -

Gazza also almost gifted them a goal in the first half as well. Got a bit better though but is still shaky most of the time. -
that wouldn't be a really weird decision though. VMAN suggests that the change is weird or at least surprising so thus unforced.

just been jocked off of Canal+ Sport as well, we were on at 4 (ie 3 UK time) but now it's Chelsea Palace... WTF. Stream again for me then, hope i can find the same one as last week, didn't stick once.

Anyone see Steve Davis in any of these photos ?
-
but Mpo says otherwise, were building ourselves up for disappointment if we carry on thinking like that. I can see us signing a No2 keeper and a sort of LB/CB utility player (there I'm thinking Mathieu from Valencia). If Gaston goes we may try to sign a playmaker if Ever Banega is available, other than that nul prosequi.

As I said, agent bollix. Pity it's become part and parcel of football now. I think if you added up the potential cost of all of the players supposed to be moving to some "top team" or other each window the cost would run into billions of £s.
-
so we've got 2 one trick ponies capable of playing in only 1 position? wouldn't have thought that. So what he's saying is that if Morgan is out but Jack and Victor aren't neither is capable of slotting into the vacant role and we have to change everything around. Seems like an odd thing to say really.
-
and did he say why that is? Is it because of some football version of the Pauli exclusion principal? Or would it be because they don't get along.
-
but as I keep telling you there are 2 NUFCs, the one with Cabaye and the one without. They don't have a replacement for him, only similar players with at least one attribute missing. They are the nearest thing you'll find to a one man team this side of Hadrian's Wall.

Not sure then, thought the anecdote comes from the writings of Henry of Huntingdon who seemed to imply that Canute(or rather his counsellors) thought he could rule the waves and sit on the sea. However "only the lily rules the waves" is part of the motto of the house of Aquitaine so there could be some historical confusion in the whole episode and it's legend rather than fact.
-
well I don't think he actually turned back the tide, just thought he could because he was King. Taught us an important fact, time and tide wait on no man...apparently.

when you have a bloke like Torres on your team anything is possible. Now if Chelsea were to think of kicking him out on the cheap this January I'd personally be first in the queue if I were a PL recruiter. A real poison for oposition defences. Probably better as striker support now than an out and out front man.

Bags of talent, awful attitude if I remember correctly. In today's football players who are not on the verges of their first team by the time they're about 18 or 19 probably won't make the grade at that club. They may well do well a level down though.
