Other than not being good enough you mean. -

Our fan base is truly exceptional, always grounded. If we're not winning they moan about the results, if we're winning they moan about style, if were winning with style then they moan about the beer or the sausage rolls. -
If I remember rightly from an Adidas Climacool publicity event that I attended somewhere or other Climacool is a hollow fibre polyester derivative. Most modern sports fabrics are. Lightweight and draw moisture off the skin. Washes very well.

Cardiff City...and we thought Skates FC was a basket case!

Usually extended to immediate entourage though and this bloke is a big mate of his son's. So nepotism is quite apt I think. -

So Jack Cork is disillusioned then is he . -
don't need much pasta for 10 miles, couple of GUs and a swig of Lucozade are by far enough for the distance. This pasta eating ritual must be sponsored by Buitoni or something. I've run 46 marathons, never eaten pasta all week before a single one of them, it's in the training really. Dissociated diet works well though but not for 10 miles and certainly not at anything much over 6.30 miling..

Southampton the 4th crappest town in the UK
Window Cleaner replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Lounge
They could always knock down Toys R Us and a few car parks and put the Lido back in it's rightful place, complete with the chip shop across the road. Southampton would then be a proper town again. What the youth of Southampton does all summer without the Lido stumps me. -
On what do you base that judgement ? He's only had 2 yellows so far, pretty sure Morgan had more than that after 7 games last season,it's the role that gets the cards and not any specific player. Anyway it's a bullsh*t competiton, the extra Euroleague places will got to Scandinavian sides with their airy fairy handshake every 20 seconds football, Forren was a good player in Norway, wasn't even any cop in the U21s at SFC.

Have we reached top level pricing at St Mary's?
Window Cleaner replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
not sure that the problem existed at St Mary's though, at the Dell with a 15K capacity it was to be expected. -

Everybody had heard of Pochettino anyway, if only for bringing down Michael Owen. Incidently one of only 3 PL managers to have appeared at WC final tournaments. -

But our problem was more specific, we didn't acquire a PL level keeper until it was far too late, that problem was eventually corrected and the perpetrator of the anomaly was eventually sacked anyway. -

They've spent 33 million on top of whatever it cost them to exit the NPC and have got 8 points to show for it. I can understand the head of recruitment getting sacked. -

Perhaps at the end of the day people will stop taking all the family to football and it will go backwards in time. The other day they showed some images of a bloke with a little lad at the Everton-Newcastle game (I think) poor little bugger was about 3 or 4,totally kitted out in NUFC kit from head to toe and stuck there at about 9 in the evening, miles from home with his big fat dad who evidently thought that NUFC was the centre of the world. When Lukaku tore them apart he start crying, then he looked totally bored and 3/4 asleep. That sort of treatment of kids should be banned, don't know why blokes think that taking miniscule infants to football every week is one of the most important things in this world. -
why is that ? A total disgrace I mean.

perhaps his criminal record counts against him.

well you'd need to read all the Leaders in Football conference briefs to really know but as far as I can make out from L'Equipe they're setting up a commission to study the number of foreign players in UK football and Hoddle is to be a member. He's suggesting something like the old system 5 foreigners on the field at any one time and all the rest English (expect he means UK though). This will of course fall foul of EU legislation on the restriction of trade so unless they can get the EU to change it's freedom of movement/trade rules it's just going to be a gabfest and little else.Might be worth notng that the PL has declined any participation within this commission.

Spurs and Chelsea home games moved for TV
Window Cleaner replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Good, won't have to watch a sticky stream for those games then. They'll be on Canal + -
Of course the national press always denigrate our efforts but the thing is that in today's EPL there are no easy games, which is why Utd lost at home to WBA,Spurs got thrashed by West Ham and Citeh have been beaten by both Villa and Hull. With the sums of money awash in today's EPL all sides can afford good players and the difference between a top top player on an average day and a medium player on a good day has become negligble. If the managers don't get it right then even the reputed top sides will struggle against perceived minnows because if the tactics are right most PL players are well capable of implementing them correctly. Still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 though.

If we wanted fast wide men we would have bought them, we didn't so we don't. As I said yesterday for all their speedy wide play Swansea still lost 2-0. Everybody tackles, everybody presses in our system, do Dyer and Routledge do that ? I've no idea. Dyer looked handy because he was up against Fox, maybe against Shaw he'd have looked less useful.
