  1. probably didn't want to go down in history as the bloke who wasn't as good as the clown Tomazewski, left that to Sczesny
  2. Has not one witness statement from one of their cronies been discounted as pure speculation, I think you'll find that it has.
  3. that would be noxious to you people I guess but I like nocive better and am always prepared to further the cause of Franglais. Why if it weren't for people such as I crèpes and croissants wouldn't have made it across the channel yet.
  4. Perhaps he works for 5 or 6 eh
  5. probably not, would have only been back yesterday or even today, probably light training apart from the main group, same as all the others. Whether he leaves with the group for Manchester tomorrow will be far more indicative.
  6. But if the Portuguese had pressed an abandonment charge and got them into custody for a prolonged period they might have gotten some better results (if any were to be had that is). It's what the french would do if they thought that useful information was being witheld. Amazing what a period of isolation can do to even the most lucid and hardened suspects.
  7. as I said in the match thread with even just Boruc out Utd at 2-1 on is a horse past the post.
  8. Whatever the case might be the OS speaks of "strenuous representation" on behalf of the Plod to the Football League. The clubs probably wanted to play the match in the half terms holidays but at the end of the day the Plod had their way of things. As the Police don't seem to be able to control very much at all in the Uk nowadays they seem to be adopting an Adkinsian catchphrase "control the controlables"
  9. so why the ongoing doubt over Shaw, he was training with the others last week, didn't look to be anything wrong with him.
  10. well there you go then, international breaks always leave a trail of destruction in their wake, it's why "top teams" have twice as many players as they'd normally need. If those 3 unavailabilities should be confirmed we'd have 5 players who have been dimished by the IB because with all the travelling and different attitudes to football Maya and Gaston will be totally useless to us as well and as we actually have one of the smallest squads in the PL (I don't count kiddies who've never played first team football nor are likely to) we ill be totally handicapped.
  11. The blame probably lies squarely with the Northumberland Constabulary, they probably don't plan much in advance.
  12. if it's OB they'll have had no say whatsoever.Remember the bubble bus.
  13. Citeh play Moscow on the 5th
  14. they obviously haven't heard that Boruc might be out so if you're thinking of a wager on either the draw or a Utd win get down to the bookies before they realise that with KD in goal 3/1 on the draw is over generous.
  15. because they're a bunch of pussies who are afraid of their own shadow . However I suppose the thinking is that with the Tyne-Wear game at the week-end they'll need loads of coppers, then having to police 2 games in their region on the same day will need even more and that with the half term holidays there won't be enough coppers on normal time to go round whereas putting off one of the matches would alleviate the problem.
  16. too many draws in England's games over the last year, the FIFA ranking system is based on winning matches and not drawing them. Drawing with a minnow sets you back in the classment, drawing with sides like Ireland in friendlies is particularly nocive to your FIFA ranking. If you can't win friendlies don't play them if you want to be seeded for top tournaments. Switzerland beat Brazil and that brings a shedload of points, Uruguay beat Argentina and that helps no end. The higher the classment of the side you beat the more points it brings you because the coefficient is 200-Ranking, so if you beat Brazil your result is 3x199x1 even for a friendly.
  17. It's the OB again isn't it, they're afraid that with the Newcastle/Sunderland game the week-end before and Newcastle being at home on the same evening there will be trouble. Bunch of Marys, might as well just close down the whole country because no matter what you do there will always be "trouble" of some sort.
  18. All those who can't get a real job I suppose
  19. is that not Michael Barratt ?
  20. won't want to drop down a division and that's his only option right now, so no, a non-starter.
  21. Probably a dispute over some East End scrubber or other.
  22. the nearest would probably be the horror show of 2005, probably only 4 or 5 out of each 16
  23. That won't worry him, he would never have picked him in the first place if all of the others had been available, he's too slow for international football against major nations. I'd by far rather he turned his attention to Lallana and perhaps Clyne when considering saints players.
  24. in my Uni days perhaps, can't remember, if it was lying around in the Common Room I may well have looked at it. Fraser Nelson I'd have to admit to not having heard of though.
  25. certainly haven't, Portsmouth may well have done, don't think they had all that many British born players in the cup game in 2010, we had quite a few though, certainly a majority because José couldn't play that day so we would have had just Morgan,Radi and Waigo unless Antonio comes from somewhere else originally.
