  1. Unsurprisingly, he's been dead these past 15 months. Expect you mean Zaid though.
  2. because he's a speed merchant and pace dimishes with age. PL full backs are also getting better, was the last bastion where a useless player could get a PL game but recently even that's changed. Comes from better coaching and fitness I'd guess, plus with the new 4-2-3-1 systems with AMs dropping back into their own half to defend a wide man needs a bit more than a burst of speed over 50 yards. Look at the knobber Welbeck, supposed to be speed merchant right? just come on as a sub so you'd think he'd be able to outpace a DM who'd run for 80 odd minutes right? Wrong cos he doesn't have a brain.
  3. Liverpool won't be top 6, Suarez will get a long suspension again (or p*ss off to Madrid) and Gerrard will slip over on an icy pavement on his way to the post office to collect his pension. They aren't that good.
  4. if it's anything like a Formula 1 Ferrari it needs a lot of tyres, set of tyres is good for about 50 miles usually, mind you Italian tyres, don't think they make anything at all very robust in Italy.
  5. Hasn't some mega rich Indonesian bloke just bought 70% of Juventus? Ah no that's Inter, silly me.
  6. ah Kagawa is different,we'd have to apply for a new work permit for him and that's too much hassle for a player we don't really need. Anyway as we're now a "fashionable club" (well for the time being anyway) who've obviously got a couple of bob agents will start including us in their wish list when they're trying to get their players a game.
  7. Every draft is stacked with quality college QBs but few actually make the grade, why I'd even go as far as saying that neither Stafford or Bradford have really made it so far, they have their days and others when they're totally rubbish.Luck is a good QB but that apart nothing has been exceptional for a couple of years now.The same old cocks are ruling the roost and endless Heismann winners and runners up are falling by the wayside. Back to last night's game: Having watched Foles closely against the Bucs I kinda knew he'd be no good against the Boys, he's a wimp and it takes a man to run the Eagles offence against a team that comes looking for you. There's no secret as to why MV7 is often injured, he plays a man's game because that's what's required and he takes the hits and runs where no other quarterback would. If he was even 70% Chip should have asked him to play yesterday because the Boys-Eagles games will decide the division.
  8. Foles looks a bit wimpish for a game like this, fortunately the Girls are undisciplined. Might still need MV7 yet, even on one leg he'd do better than Foles. 8 of 18 and 43 yds, those are Tebowsian statistics.
  9. Reminded you of Wotton or Ryan Harley...spot on.
  10. Hollies right ?
  11. Strasbourg have gone broke twice since then , the old set-up no longer exsts and any past agreements are probably nul and void.
  12. just for the last ditch tackle on Welbeck, if he gets that wrong he's off.
  13. Wow, we really do look like a top end of the table side.
  14. some Spanish 3rd division club or other.
  15. Seen this ? Replace the brocolis with strawberrys and it would be ideal for us doncha think.
  16. Van Persie is a possible non starter, well according to newspaper reports anyway. Probably just Moyes trying to mislead us, can't see what difference that would make anyway.
  17. not really. In each of the video sequences showing the keepers, and there aren't that many, KD is between the posts and Boruc is static to the side of the goal with Jimenez. As the thought of KD in goal for us makes me shudder I guess it's just over-reaction
  18. Still a bit concerned over Boruc myself, seems a bit static in all the videos.
  19. Hypothetically what would a couple of docs risk (apart from a short jail stretch) for covering up some sort of domestic medicamental accident, struck off, temporary suspension what ?
  20. depends how much they want to get involved really, mine used to charge about the course encoraging runners everywhere, sometimes you can see the race pass at a few places by cutting through the space between passages, thinking on the GSR route that I ran you could probably get to 3 or 4 places in the time available. Then again we're a running family, everybody runs, the youngest quite well actually, remember the wife charging round the Paris marathon course with a few other WAGs with a few kids in pushchairs, it does help though, used to pass us a drink or a gel sachet if necessary. Also helps before the start, you can usually offload your warm up stuff onto them just before the start, saves the trouble with bin bags, bottles etc.
  21. Hah Rickie forgot his training jacket and nicked Gaston's then, surprised that it fits.
  22. spot on: What's your best position ? My best position is left back.
  23. make sure your vaccinations are up to date then, cholera, ebola, green monkey fever, that sort of thing.
  24. Think we'll know more when the group for the Chile and Germany international friendlies in November is announced. If he's still in then I think he may have some sort of chance for next summer.
  25. maybe she fancies you and you didn't sh@g her at the office christmas party, that can sometimes have disastrous consequences.
