he hasn't signed and won't play today. He may well sign at some point in the near future but at this moment in time he's not signed for them.

Should MP be sacked if we don't get 3 points at Anfield?
Window Cleaner replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
Goals in the PL are getting increasingly hard to come by, only 78 from 40 games so far I think. It's no wonder really, virtually every side has at least 50 million £ to spend so the defences are bound to be getting better. We may well spend 14 million on an offensive player but if everybody else spends 15 million on a defender or two the net result is zero. I think we've proved that point ourselves. last season we conceded 14 in 4 games, this season just 2. -

Especially on a forum where the average IQ is purported to be well above Mensa level, mind you the average of spelling and grammar is more 1st grade.. -

Hey Norwich have just missed a penalty, that's got to be a manager sacking offence right ? -
what's Lallana got to do with it ?
-
but has he actually signed for them ? I think not.

A bove ante, ab asino retro, a stulto undique caveto told you it was a fitting motto for this forum. -
As I always said at the time of the Wanyama transfer saga his problem was always going to be a consistent level of performance. He might have had a great game against Barca but then he probably had 2 parks level matches against Ross County or St Johnstone or similar where no effort was really required. We have paid way way over the odds for a player that we didn't really need.

He'd more than likely be more worried about Caliban, he's a real animal. Still with a bit of magic from Prospero we might do well.

It's good to be optimistic of course but it creates a mindset that makes an eventual reverse a dramatic event. If we get a draw we'll have done well.

and for some dealings in the transfer market: Caveat Emptor, although on a more general forum basis: A bove ante, ab asino retro, a stulto undique caveto:

and has the deal been completed now ?

we've probably been haggling over £5 a week or something

Won't be for long if they play like they did on Tuesday again.

Really ? if we were to create as many chances as we did in the West Ham game but convert say 2 of them this time we would have them rattled. Must have had about 8 or 9 chances and efforts that could easily go in on another day.

In fact Liverpool don't look all that ferocious in attack, 3 1-0 wins and then a 2-2 draw. The defence was good though because up until Monday night they hadn't conceded a goal, take away Agger and put in Sakho and they ship 2. Looks like most sides are getting increasingly hard to break down, watched Utd on Saturday and until they got an iffy penalty and a red carded defender even Palarse were holding them at bay.

Southampton need Gastón Ramírez to pull them together in midfield

To me after watching just 5 or 6 games with Wanyama it would seem that Jack Cork is far more mobile than Victor is as of yet. Jack scoots about all over the midldle 50 yards of the pitch whereas Victor seems to be enrooted in a circle of about 15 yards diameter on the right side of midfield towards our side of the centre circle. It would also seem to me that Victor doesn't seem to like to pass square or square'ish to Morgan, he either tries to go forward or more often backwards.

Now to me Sakho is a bit of a donkey (he'll probably play a blinder now that I've said that) and any striker with pace or guile or even better both could have a field day against him. Didn't get his ass kicked out of PSG for no reason, mind you at 16 million £ they're laughing all the way to the Bank of Qatar.

I have indeed, Steve Moran goal in Saint's golden age. So what would that be 1981/2 ish

Watched through my recording yesterday, thought the greasy pitch hampered us a bit in a few ways, mistimed tackles, ball control and overhit passes because they slid off the surface faster than normal. I'd have to say that West Ham's defence is pretty handy, mind you it should be with the number of units it has in it, it's not surprising that they've only conceeded one goal in 4 PL games (only Spurs have done as well in that sector). It also occured to me that the grudges generated by the two NPC games between the sides are going to fester for a good while yet. -
Valesaint is probably Kelvin's mum.

And yet the clamour was often for a midfield enforcer in the mould of Diamé, so we got one and now we want to go back to our brain over muscle pairing.I'm certainly not anti Wanyama but he's not the top top player many claimed he would be. Still I doubt that going and having a kick about in Botswana or wherever it was has done him any good, players often come back from those games with a complete lack of any sense of rythym to their game. Happens all the time after the ACON. -

Wanyama doesn't seem to want to pass to Schneiderlin, still I did cast aspertions on what we could expect in the way of consistency from Wanyama over a long season.
