  1. had a better goalscoring rate in 2011/12 though and played more games than the season before. We'll see how it pans out next season without the Olympic games cluttering up the summer break.
  2. Monaco's French players pay their tax in France, no idea whatsoever how many French players they have though. It's impossible for a French national to be domiciled in Monaco for tax purposes, unless they were resident there before 1957, that's why Johnny Haliday suddenly wanted to be Belgian.
  3. Bale's principal problem at Spurs was a foot injury caused by contact. Shaw's ills seem much more diverse, think it's supposed to be a back injury this time. Wasn't it calf or thigh last time and ankle the time before ?
  4. so if he's going to sit on the bench somewhere he might as well go and do it at Chelsea for 100k () a week.
  5. he'll be in the bad books then.
  6. Adkins isn't a front line PL manager who's at the top of everyone's list. His results at Reading were pretty poor, lesser than McDermott's I think.
  7. Still don't think we should be reliant on him as our number 1 LB, don't think he has all of Bale's qualities at this stage, certainly not his dead ball skills. There are better left backs than Luke Shaw in his current state about.
  8. Hope that goes better for him than it has for Jack Wilshere then. Says a lot for the quality of Richardson then doesn't it. A kid at 85% and probably with injections to boot is better than Clyne on the left (which seemed to be not too bad) and our reserve RB at err RB.
  9. But Bale has never had recurrent injury problems. Anyway we were in the Championship and had no chance of holding on to him. Spurs will have a job keeping him as well now that they're not in the CL. Every player wants to rise to his maximum level and in Bale's case that's got to be CL football because with Wales he's never going to shine at a major championship. I'd take 10 million upwards for Shaw yes and buy Danny Rose and a back up for him..
  10. so what ? Don't like us relying on this wonder boy and have to keep using the useless Fox every time he gets injured. there are players who we could get for half of the ridiculous sums being quoted for Shaw who could do just as good a job and probably more often. If it was down to me I'd take any ridiculous offer for one of our wonder kids that we get because at the end of the day they never stay long anyway.
  11. how did he do that then, lifting heavy bags of shopping ? Going to be plagued with injury all of his career as likely as not, take the money and get a man onto the job.
  12. perhaps the thinking there if Harry couldn't do anything with them then QPR are really a pile of shîte and it might not have been all Hughes' fault.
  13. oh dear, our Championship woes seem to continue. Lancs tail wagged well again and they've made 295 after being 182/8. In reply we've not scored in the first 23 balls and Adams is out. Hope Carberry can do his stuff again.
  14. who won't be signing for us as likely as not.
  15. By the By, Amorebieta seems to have been evinced from the Bilbao first team by an 18 year old French lad, perhaps he's not all that much in demand at all.
  16. probably good on CM 1994 or something like that. Won't be suited to PL football because he's a bit of a wimp, needs to go to Italy which is exactly what he seems to want.
  17. on that subject: Mourinho might bring Fabio Coentrao with him to Chelsea so why would he want anything to do with a 17 year old that he knows nothing whatsover about ? Think you can rule Chelsea out.
  18. I'd still trade him for Danny Rose and some cash (quite a lot actually)
  19. Isimat-Mirin is a tidy player...unlike Jonjo Shelvey.Won't be signing either of them though, probably just not good enough.
  20. Anyway Andre's list is off the mark. Richardson and Butterfield are out of contract and probably won't be offered new ones,so they can't be sold and won't be retained. In fact anyone who is out of contract will be "released" because that's the way we do things at SFC. Reeves is out of contract and will no doubt be allowed to just leave as will Hoskins. If you're not good enough for the PL and don't have a contract beyond 30th June 13 then you won't get a new one unless there are some exceptional circumstances.
  21. Indeed no chance, what would Pochettino want with any Wright-Phillips ? This is just agent talk, SWP is probably desperate to get a game somewhere at some inflated rate. Think we'll be looking to Italy,Spain and Portugal for our signings if not at source in Argentina or Brazil.
  22. he was at Lyon at one time, good little player but think they had some sort of problem with him, could be wrong and it's that he's just a greedy bastard.
  23. what like he fired Villa into the Champion's League places you mean, bloke who replaced him is the sort of striker you need.
  24. that was his second good knock in successive 40 over games, got a very good 96 the other day as well (chasing 242). Trouble was at the end he needed 4 for his 100 but we only needed 1 to win, went for a big hit at a ball that just needed dabbing down to 3rd man and got out.
