perhaps they don't have the right to do that, last wishes are last wishes and must be adhered to.Maybe they can just limit funding and hope he buggers off by himself. But we don't really know what our status is and why Cortese runs the rest of Empire and not the owners. Doesn't seem as clear cut as it would seem. Once again why is an exiled italian banker still at the helm of Mali Holdings AG and not someone from the family. When someone finds an answer to that then it would be clearer..He was never in charge of Mali when Markus was with us.

don't expect 'The Liebherrs" whoever that might be, read the Sun myself and they certainly don't read this forum. We really have no clue who runs the trust or what it's aims are. As far as I can see there are few commercial entities left in the empire and Cortese seems to have a hand on the tiller of them all.. Everything else has been liquidated why not Saints. My take on it is that Saints can carry on as they are but with no more external funding or guarantee for investment.

yes he does, runs everything that's left which doesn't seem to be a great deal.
-
in the press yes but as he says in his interview he's had no contact from Deschamps or the Federation. Think he's a bit of a pariah as far as the FFF is concerned. They told him to find a new club when we dropped down to League 1 but he didn't want to do that and he was cast aside. Been called up since then a couple of times for the U23s but for minor games. Anyway Deschamps is a knob who doesn't have a clue what he's doing anyway. Guess we'll just have to wait until he gets sacked or Morgan blacks up and dyes his hair yellow..

probably wouldn't pick them if we did. International selection is a strange affair, selectors have their binkies and keep picking them to the detriment of players perceived as more able. France squad for the South american tour is an absolute joke, even Nasri is in it although nobody knows why.

looks old when compared with the other youngsters doesn't he. Whatever happened to the orange boots a few of them had, didn't last long did they. Played some of our best games with those boots.
-
or Lallana on the bench and JWP in his place, not sure that JWP is hard enough to play CM against Stoke.

and know what we're talking about...get outta here

I don't know the rates or those of the money men on speed dial, do you ? but I didn't miss the point... Anyway Vibrac seem very popular with PL clubs ,up to 6 apparently mortgaging next years PL income with them. Apparently (well if you believe the press) their rates are actually lower than some of the old loans that theirs are replacing. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2294521/Nick-Harris-West-Ham-mortgage-60m-TV-money-bid-manage-debts.html

well no-one is just going to gift us 3.2 million on the understanding that they may buy us at some time in the vague future. Not everyone is Leon Crouch. I'm more concerned as to why we needed it in the first place oh yes I remember tax reasons...yeah right. Only 1 reason to borrow money...you don't have enough for whatever it is that you need.
-
well they can't just leave, not if they want to continue as professional footballers anyway.
-
not if you don't care about football it wouldn't.

so someone somewhere just wants to cash in on everything as soon as is respectably possible would you say ? Certainly not carry on the investment as foreseen. Why move the headquarters from Fribourg canton to Zurich canton, what's that about then ?
-
it's not the same scenario is it though. One would be the project interupted but not necessarily put into question because of an accident; the other would be the project voluntarily destroyed.
-
Perhaps there's no investment to be had; just a sale to be arranged as best as possible. It's too odd to be true. Can't see that Cortese isn't amongst the administrators of the Trust (whatever that may be) so nothing is as it seems. Not something that he'd do is putting it about that there is a rift in the lute so there's a hidden strategy somewhere. perhaps one of our finance wizards with ins in the sort of place you can get that info could tell us exactly why the QG of Mali International Holdings was transferred from Fribourg canton to Zurich canton in January of this year.
-
so why is their website just a page of contact details then and above all why is it being run by an exiled Italian banker and not someone from the family who were ousted from control (or left voluntarily) quite a while ago. There a re 2 signatories to Mali's accounts; Cortese and a Swiss lawyer. Not a trust but 2 men.
-
but Cortese runs everything that Markus left behind, that's the whole point. If there were great family intimacy then someone from the vastly successful and wealthy "crane" branch (and there are plenty of young winners in that lot) would be in charge of Mali and not an exiled Italian banker and what seemst be a Zurich lawyer..........Whole scenario makes no sense. Especially when you notice that the website of Mali International AG is just a page of contact details and absolutely nothing else.
-
well lets see some evidence then. All I can find indicates that the other branch of the family is amongst the richest in Switzerland but the sums shown are always global and never detailed. I really think there is great confusion in this matter. This article lauds the wealth of the "crane" branch but little else. http://www.laliberte.ch/economie/la-famille-liebherr-est-la-plus-riche-du-canton-de-fribourg
-
doubt it; never seen anything concrete to convince me that there isn't the same general confusion as there is most of the time. Anyone ever seen any Mali International accounts ?

they aren't "old mates" MP was an exceptionally fine footballer who made a lot of friends everywhere he went. We loved him on the terraces at PSG. Gives 100 percent all of the time.
