  1. If the scores stay the way they are I won't mind at all. 1st or 2nd is all the same to me, I'm not proud.
  2. We must be buying all of those then.
  3. You never know Forest might get a bit of good fortune,if only they could get an early goal to boost their confidence. They have some good players who might get back into the rythm if they could just get a break.I mean if Jos hadn't blocked that shot last week who knows what might have happened.
  4. I'd wager that some who seem desperate to blow 8 million on Hooper complain about parking fees and the ticket tax.
  5. Will probably be a decent turnout because this is the first of the games that are covered by the "Final 10" tickets that sold pretty well.
  6. replace Bale with Lallana...yer 'avin a larf.
  7. TL's probably totally miffed because of the non-consideration he's gotten from fans on this forum, well if he could read English that is.I mean if I was just signing for Saints as an international striker and looked in and read 30 pages about Hooper,Sharp and Maynard I'd think WTF as well, cos I'd not be sure that I'd ever get a game.
  8. Saints strikers roll call Connolly...present Guly.....present De Ridder ...present Lambert.....present after the next match, all patched up and rested Lee.....soon to be present Barnard....seen in training today Forte...........present'ish Reeves......present 8 strikers and we were taking the **** out of West Ham cos they've got 7.
  9. Well some seemed to believe that we would actually and eventually bid 8 million £ or so. Do they not know us? I mean you only have to look back to the summer and remember that we didn't meet Swindon's asking price of 1.8 million £ for Austin and if you read some blogs we offered a measly 200K+add ons for CMS whilst exacting 12 million £ for AOC. So if they were silly enough to think that we'd meet an elevated asking price for Hooper that can only go down as self-inflicted suffering.
  10. But we've signed Tadanari Lee, can't be any worse than Jonno Quick although some say that his ball control leaves much to be desired. Then there's Falque, may be a good loan signing there.
  11. Why should they, they're just 3 points from the play-off places with a pretty clement looking run-in. Probably why they've signed McQuoid on loan as well, isn't Austin injured just now?
  12. Promised to be that way when the(reported) price started going up on a daily basis.Just another one to add to the long list of strikers we didn't sign, mainly because we don't pay that sort of money as yet.
  13. Not really, it's just Eddie collecting up all his old boys.
  14. It won't happen,Cork needs to be on the pitch from the start for 2 reasons/ a) he's a great player, well drilled in Saints tactical schema; b) he's utilisable at CB if needs be. Falque will get maybe 15/20 minutes if he's fit enough and if we need him.
  15. Nonsense, they'd make a formidable nightshift at the Samaritans...Dirty Harry style....you want to top yourself...go ahead make my day.
  16. How can you play centre mid if you can't tackle, you can't read the game and you can't choose the best option 9 times out of 10. Your friend must be a Pompey fan.
  17. What's to make out, you get a card (or one to use as a key fob) you buy stuff from HMV in store or online, you get points, you trade points for stuff which is apparently crap. Got one of those cards from every supermarket chain in France.
  18. He could well have seen Hooper, I go places, doesn't mean I'm going to work there.
  19. Which is why I said 10, Beckford and Hooper, younger, more mobile, more suited to a side that plays on the deck.
  20. But then again Shurlock we are not Lambo junkies, we see that it's the team that makes him rather than him that makes the team.
  21. Yes I do, but whilst the subject is open I don't mind discussing it.Lambert is not God.Every player has his price.
  22. Lambert would be nothing without the structure that surrounds him, Guly has scored as many goals from open play. At 30 in a couple of weeks I'd take silly money for him...no question 10 million + and he's yours, provided that we had the time to get Beckford and Hooper in his stead.
  23. Why ?? I find it little less nonsensical than the idea that we'd pay 8 million for Hooper. Every player has his price, evidently there's probably little mileage in these discussions but West Ham could easily bid for Lambert and get knocked back until they find a price that might tempt us.AOC wasn't for sale until the cash was flashed and the player made it known that he was interested.
  24. ...........
  25. Well I'm going over to the old KUMB board to see if I can stir up a bit of interest at say 15 million £. I'd deffo sell Lambert if the price was right and we had time to get 2 or 3 top rate hotshots in his stead.
