But you have to remember that we'll soon be filling up our bench with a lot of different options.Given that you have to have a keeper and a defender in the 5 that leaves 3 spots for a whole host of players, Holmes won't get near the bench when you have so many choices. I'm sure that we're just waiting for Rickie to come back or Lee to be available and we'll be loaning him out or just straight out letting him go, same with Forte.

Not this season though,this season 0 goals in 20 odd games, last season 9 in 28 or so.Could be that Arteta's absence affects his play, perhaps he's in a different role now.Sometimes if you take away just one player you change the results of 5 or 6.

Back to the red card,which was pretty evident, when I saw it happen I said, that's a nailed on red,what with the new instructions about dangerous play and all, not even worth appealing. This is what concerns me somewhat. Lee has come here to play football and improve before Japan's 2014 WC finals campaign, he won't take to being sidelined behind Hooper and Lambert most of the time, neither do I think we're going to pay a player 15K a week to shine the bench with the seat of his shorts most of the time.Guly to me is an important player but he's less effective in midfield unless it's in a 9.5 role which is often attributed to Lallana. The current midfield schema allows us more defensive options so I can't see why we should change it so to me signing Lee and Hooper means we're overloading unless there's something happening that we don't know about.
