you sure? depends on who they sold the ticket to perhaps.

I'd think that ST holders or their "+1s" could be relied upon not to behave badly and if they should well banning them would be easier and more effective than it would with any intermittent supporter.

Will be interesting to see how the OB handle accusations of fish firkin and horse fiddling though. I mean that's not very PC is it,far worse than being gay,I mean those are crimes aren't they??

So all of the hand wringing and hair wrenching that I read about Guly being on his own up front was a load of bowleaux then,it's just that De Ridder is all that good at doing as he's told I guess.

They started the new Auto'Lib service in Paris yesterday, you know where you just pick up an electric car at a stand, drive it to where you want to go and leave it at another stand, need to register first and pay though. Anyway on the very first day a pedestrian was run over by one of these new electric cars because he didn't hear it coming. In the event of mass use of electric cars we'll need to change pedestrian awareness I think. -
Can you understand quantum entangelement...therein lies the question.

Where are the International Players going to come from?
Window Cleaner replied to Professor's topic in The Saints
Not many?? Sort of none'ish I expect.Let's face it if they aren't capable of stepping up to an injury hit Championship side and replacing superstars like De Ridder and Holmes by the time they're 19 or 20 then they ain't got it.More fodder for Brentford and Bompey though. -

A good academy is essential if you want to win the Champions League...provided that you can fill it with the finest talents from Argentina and Brazil.Unfortunately the UK's weather seems to put them off. -

Yes I got the point in the first place, just trying to point out, perhaps none too well, that our famous academy seems to be slowing down cos it's producing very little and the little that it did produce of late was none too interested in making a career with us. I honestly am concerned by the lack of players coming through, then again i know sod all about Hunter and Jason Dodd isn't a man I'd pick to run the academy. -

Yeah right.....I guess that's why 21 out of the 22 players that make up our first team group are bought in. Whole academy set up needs needs a kick up the backside in my view.Mind you with Dodd anywhere near it I can't say I'm surprised. -

Anyway there aren't enough real internationals (ie from a top 30 nation) to go round. That's because clubs like the Mans,Chelsea,Madrid,Barcelona,The Milans and the like insist on having 2 internationals (or more) for every position.600 or so top rate international players are soon gobbled up by those clubs. When any other club gets a decent player who gets picked for a real international nation then the others just fall over themselves to prise him away, whether they need his services or not. -
Saints "do not have a massive pot of cash"
Window Cleaner replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
But you've not taken into account last year's deficit and that of the year before. The "Chamberlain" cash was spent before it was received. You only have to look at Bristol City's accounts to know that. -
was there a choice ?? You just cannot make people accept to be herded into buses against their will, everybody wants to do their own thing and choose who they travel with, what they listen to,whether they smoke or not. It's modern society and if we didn't sell out it's because of this stupid bubble bus nonsense.

I think Lard has a new job anyway, think he might have been in the Lounge expressing some sort of reservations that he had lost his ability during his sabatical year. Probably just one of those people who just can't stop themselves from grannying.Permanent Anxiety Syndrome is the name the medics recognise it by I think.
-
I guess it's because we didn't have enough people who meet the criteria. I mean if we had 3200 tickets this time that's more than we took anywhere but Reading.4 aways out of 10 is quite a percentage.I'd think the Saints would make plenty out of the bus fares.

Lard was here the other day, laying into NA if I recall correctly.

De Ridder started last Saturday's game if I remember rightly, surely he was supposed to be wide right, Morgan wasn't on the wing,he was at the tip of the diamond behind Guly. If MS was on the wing at any time then I'd guess it was because SDR wasn't where he was supposed to be.

West Ham is an interesting case, they have used 25 players so far in their League campaign,6 more than us, only Nolan has played all 20 games fro them, after that the most appearances are around 16 or so.They also only bothered with 1 round of the Carling Cup,used a reserve team I think. So Nolan apart most of our key players have all played more games than any other West Ham player...yet their results aren't any better than ours.I bet if we had,or had had 25 realistic NPC players at our disposal we might not have lost both of our last 2 away games.
-
there is of course a third option: Bristol City and Doncaster both had better than average keepers.Didn't that happen to us at Walsall last year? not that he was above average he just got exceptionally lucky. At least 2 pretty decent saves at least from Ikeme on Saturday and the old pompey reject wasn't too dusty either.I bet if donny had had their habitual hack we'd have scored at least 2.
-
But Doncaster aren't a team we should be "rolling over". I doubt that many have actually bothered to look at the team they had on the pitch on Saturday. They had some really, really decent players, one of whom we tried to pay 3 Million+ for last summer, another who was high on this very forum's wish list not long ago and some recently signed players from Premier League clubs. Doncaster before they got Ikeme,Beye and Fortune were probably dire but now they have at least 3 players who are better than ours in the same position. Ikeme,Beye and Sharp.

FFS Alpine give it a rest.

Doncaster 1 - 0 Saints - Post Match Reaction
Window Cleaner replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Needed to hit it first time really,a real striker probably would have. Ikeme is inching over to his left because with the defender on Morgan's left he knows that Morgan only has the option of slotting it between him and the post.Trouble is Barney probably wouldn't have got there in the first place. Sort of chance thar De Ridder would have probably taken well enough but as he wasn't there........... Good keeping anyway. Like Beye,Ikeme is a player we should have an eye on if he's available for not much from Wolves. -
Nutjob though, don't really know if the Floyd would have progressed with him.

Right ..seen the highlights, woefully bad goal that. Fonte let Fortune squeeze the ball between himself and the goal line and Frazer (well think it's him) just lets Sharp have a free shot. Somehow I think that this non-tackling policy is playing us some dirty tricks.Fonte could have easily tackled Fortune and not let the cross go in, Frazer was slow..very slow to react.
