Gully was not even playing but i agree our midfield again were lost, apart from Cork who played well i thought, Hammond really needs to sort out his game. I still think AL would be alot better playing off the striker or just behind them like MLT used to do.
-
Gully is **** away from home and lightweight he should have never been in the team for this.

Do you really believe we will be promoted this season,Yes or No ?

Depends what happens in the transfer window -
heard this about 2-3 weeks ago, good signing if true

2-0 lose, our away form is dreadful and they have seemed to have found some form and diamond formation wont work.

lol not sure why ppl are having a pop at Morgan, it's Hammond who should be questioned, Morgan played bloody well yesterday on the right and when he went back to CM, yes he should of had a shot at goal but instead he passed BUT all our midfielder's do it. We are scared to shoot at distance probably been told to keep passing it by NA til we are in the 6 yard box but this aint working. Of all the games i've seen this season (home and away) Hammond has been very very poor apart from the first 2-3 matches at the start of the season. Even when Chappers is in the team we don't have any width but Chappers gives that little something else so we can get away with it but for how long is unclear. NA needs to work out different tactics for different teams and if we are either home or away, i've said this before we have been found out about this diamond formation and it just does not work all the time. SDR should be used as a forward if NA does not like him in midfield but what we lack in midfield is a pacey winger who can take on the full backs and place crosses in. Not one forward run yesterday from a midfielder beat a defender, they would rather pass the ball back and slow down the attack. We need to buy someone or NA needs to tell the currant midfielders to beat defenders and get crosses in, too many times we try and pass the ball once too many, yes it looks nice but id rather see many simple goals coming from crosses than 1 goal coming from 20 passes. Getting on subject, drop Hammond, make Cork captain play a simple 442 get in a good right sided player with pace and then use the rotation system in the CM like we used to.

Why oh why do we have to try and pass the ball into the net, a few chances so far where the midfielder could of had a shot but passed instead then leads to nothing. -

Morgan is playing well so far finding some good space, fox really should of been on the end of Gullys cross, Bart is a worry atm but all good so far. -
Hasnt worked for the last 3 games, we only beat hull once we took off a CM and replaced him with a wide player. I said we'll lose against Bristol City and Donny and im saying we'll lose our winning streak today. I think NA watches a different game to everyone else when he plays them 3 in CM. A different type of formation would would using them 3 but not the diamond.

Let's pretend we just extended our lead on 3rd to 7 points

This is what ive been saying all the time. We need to sort out a home team and tactics and an away team and tactics, both should be different or depending who we play. But atm we are playing the same tactics week in week out and teams have figured us out. Both Butterfield (against Boro) and Harding have done a great job when they have come in but to be dropped straight away when his main full back becomes fit. Playing three of our central midfielder's is not working either, it showed against Bristol it didnt work then he went on to play it again in the next 2 games, 1 we won after he took off one of them and the other we lost. I'm i upset that we're top? No but we could be top by a more comfortable margin than we are atm and by our away form we might not be top for the transfer window. -
Harding is better at the defensive stuff, Fox is better going forward. I think Harding should play every away match, Fox just doesn't seem to have much luck away from home.
-
i told friends we'll lose this today cause i dont get this formation lark, we need width it worked for a while but now we have been found out.
-
Good to see SDR starting upfront hope he does well.
-
I like Gully but i think he needs a rest, always makes the player work twice as hard when he gets back into the team so a tactical rest would be a good idea atm.
-
top 2 go up last time i looked its best to have the top 2 keep winning so a gap between 2nd and 3rd becomes larger.
-
err SDR upfront could be an option using his pace, something what used to work for us very well back in the prem days with pahars around. Stop messing around with this diamond go back to traditional 442 using width, so many more options we could do and we have the players for it already.
-
Thats why NA needs to start making a small changes now and again to keep other teams guessing.
-
LOL we never learn
-
i predicted 3-1 but would of rather have us score 3 first now i'll be a 40 min nervous wreck.
-
I've always said that he isnt a winger and that his best position is playing off the striker and now we can all see that he should remain there. Connolly was great for us at the start of the season but in the last handful of games he hasnt been the same, passes have gone stray and when tackled he doesnt fight to get it back. Gullys knee is a slight problem atm so i wouldnt start him against Coventry, i think SDR should come in and play off the striker but have Gully on the bench. We should win on Saturday by the way we are playing so no need to risk players who are not 100% fit. I'd also rest Hammond if not suspended? as he's not looked all that much recently. Chappers, Morgan, Cork, Lallana, with SDR and Lambo upfront, theres goals there if you ask me.
-
get cork on to waste some time and close shop
-
i was about to say whoever scores first will win this, nice one chappers!
-
Id play Morgan instead of Hammond, he seems to have lost it in the last few games. Id also be tempted to play De Ridder just behind Lambert if Gully isnt fit, DC took the goal well but did nothing apart from giving the ball away a few times. But if we play like we did in the first half we should be ok
-
Should of given De Ridder a chance upfront would of given thier defence hell with his pace.
-
This is what i think also, Morgan is so much better than Hammond not sure why NA plays him all the time but as you've already said cant grumble being 2-0 up against 3rd.
