Forte has alwats been sh*te, never rated him never will but all players probably knew that as a club we're only interested in one thing..Promotion. De ridder might have been poor today but i think him playing off the attacker is where he is best, to use his pace and his ability to run at the defence. He might of also been instructed not to get booked or injured so as a player your not going to have a good game are you? I think one good thing has come out of this, some of our youngers seem very good indeed, JWP and Morgan sounded good together. Roll on Saturday! -
Tbh dont care if we win or lose tonight as long as Morgan and cork dont get injured, as they will both be needed for saturdays game.
-
well it has been all Reading, we need to sort it out away from home, same tactics playing home and away does not always work.... Good Ridder is on! now lets use his pace.
-
martin on, nice change but id like to see ridder on for connolly
-
missing de riddler and morgan i think should of also played a 451 this would of stopped thier midfield
-
omg sooo close
-
we're missing cork in the middle, he's had a great game
-
Stange why he didnt place Harding at left back and move Fox up to left midfield, and no pace up front, i would of stuck with De Ridder he did ok against Watford.
-
I dought he'll make the bench unless there are injuries. Bart (gk) Martin (def) Morgan + Chappers (good midfield subs to have) De Riddler (mid/fwd with pace), he doesnt bring anything new to the team and with the limit of subs its best to have ppl on the bench which can change or cover a few different areas. This new league sub ruling is crap imo why bring it to these leagues and not the prem is really strange, it should be a min of 5 subs is a must max of 7 subs but with one spot to be awarded to a youngster to help future development.
-
Just got in nice scoreline so far whats De Riddler playing like?
-
Always gonna be a hard game this and i thought we might lose this one, for me i would of played Ridder for his pace and catch them on the counter attack.
-
Lundekvam or Svensson or Ostenstad or Ekelund?
DrunkenSaint replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
Ekelund -
id play martin, first game against leeds did well, only one error and they only scored in the 90th? through a iffy penalty. New guy probably needs to get settled.
-
Be good to see Hoskins and Reeves have a little go.
-
wow great finisher of the ball, with Lallana and Ridder feeding him he would do very well.
-
No thanks id prerfer J Rod

Ipswich 2 - 5 Southampton - post match fapping session
DrunkenSaint replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
wow very very good, thought we were going back to the old days when we used to let nice 3-0 leads slip, Cork seems to be the buy of the season now we just need Ridder to get a look in! -
Ipswich V Southampton - second half thread

same old saints -
why? we dont need him. Harding played very well against Barnsley i've been told so you cant drop him.... yet, you cant also drop your best striker unless he has a knock, if i was to play this formation id drop lambert on form but you'll know it will be a 442. I still think De Ridder should be starting instead of Gully on the right, Gully isnt a right midfielder.
-
De Ridder sounds very good, i think he'll replace Gully on sat
-
Lol there are riots going on again in london i guess the Arsenal supports are really ******ed off
-
You what? I've been saying this all last season, give him a chance and he'll do well and yesterday, apart from one little mistake he did very well. I think Jaidi and Seabourne will play cup games and if Gorkss does come to us i think you'll see a rotation between him and Martin to give martin the experiance he needs.
-
Correct!
-
Our motivation was going when Morgan got injured so who ever came in for morgan just fitted in straight away, the thing was we might of won while he was injured but some of those games were very messy we missed his creativity. Yes Hammond is our captain and yes he did have a good end to the season but he is no where near as good as Cork or Morgan. Dont forget we will be up against alot better players this season, Hammond along with Lambert and maybe a few others might struggle and now we have The Riddler, a very good player from what we all saw against WBA that should be playing every week. Yes its a headache for us and NA but if we want to get promoted we must play our best players. Just a little thought that came to me, Morgan has 1 year left on his contract, who would you rather see playing for us in the prem...Morgan or Hammond? i know who id rather have.
-
He can be a sub, he would also fit in well anywhere along the front line, as i said we have too many good midfielders
