£4m swoop for Burnley duo Rodriguez and Fox?
itchen_dan replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
So we are interested in him then? http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/burnley_fc/news/9183114.No_official_Southampton_approach_for_Burnley_striker_Rodriguez/? -
Saints 3 - 1 Leeds, Post Match Celebration
itchen_dan replied to Cascadia Saint's topic in The Saints
Canny discuss sh1t like -
We were sat there and next minute heard shouting and abuse so turned around and some fat yorkshire git was stood there mouthing off and f'in and blinding! Christ knows how the hell he got past the Leeds and Saints stewards in the away end, hurdled the metal barrier/fence and managed to casually walk across an empty area of seats with nobody clocking him.

Said exactly the same before the game but happy to take it all back, thought he was superb today. Never thought that him and Cork would work together as well as they did and was really pleasing to see Hammond progress quite far forward and join in with a lot of the attacking play and moves. If he plays as he did today, Im more than happy to see him continue in the starting XI.

If you're talking about the guy who they said was Cortese by mistake, I'm pretty sure it was NOT him. He looked too young to be Gorkss IMO.

I'll take Bristol City

Don't know but definitely sounds legit. They mention "Southampton" a few times so it's not a bull**** article. Sounds ilke it definitely has some source behind it.

Agree. Feel s like the deal is dead in the water. It will happen now or never IMO.

What West Ham, Birmingham and Leicester all need to realise is that they are now the 'big boys' in this division and will face the same issues as what we faced last season. Teams will want to beat them. Teams will raise their games considerably to make a name for themselves and take a scalp by beating one of the 'big boys'. Look at us last season. Massive favourites and biggest for a few years to win the division but pressure gets to teams and expectation builds and causes nerves. 'Smaller' teams will go to the bigger teams and put men behind the ball, be hard to break down etc. As many others have said, we are much more on an even footing this year and are amongst 7/8 clubs pushing for playoffs. We're no longer the big boys and teams will come to us looking to win rather than hoping for a point. This is when we are at our best when teams come here to attack and win.

Bet he thought "Cheers Gaffer! Tell everyone why don't ya!" Id be embarrassed if my boss told national radio that I had the squits.

I think we'll finish between 12th - 8th. Don't think Reading will be up there this year. Can see them doing the same as Swindon did last year. Cant see past Leicester & West Ham being in the top 2. My dark horse this year is Ipswich. Made some quality signings over the summer (Chopra, Stockdale, Emmanuel-Thomas, Inginmarsson). To go up:- !. West Ham (Winners) 2. Leicester (Runners Up) 3. Ipswich (Play Off Winners) To go down: 1. Peterborough 2. Coventry 3. Crystal Palace

Foster is off to West Brom on loan so that is one more key player gone/going.

QPR make Saints an offer for Puncheon (Player Exchange)
itchen_dan replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Might be something in this story... A little observation - Gorkss squad number at QPR is #13 and we have #13 available in our squad list. -
Absolutely superb! Was looking at it today and wondering whether it could be a permanent fixture on the seats in block 1,2&3. Not sure if it would fit but would be great to have it there at each game!
-
Sounds exciting!
-
Looks a bit like Young Boys. Maybe it's to help the alleged new signing adapt and not get homesick?
-
Who are the 2nd and 1st?
-
First one is good but for some reason I quite like the chevron. Where do you get the shorts and socks templates from?

Watching Sky Sports News and they went to live to Richard Bevan (LMA Executive) where he is at a Football League Meeting in Huddersfield and he mentions that he handed out the "Castrol LMA Performance Final Quarter Award" to Nigel Adkins. Went on to say that he is a fantastic manager and he has done a great job here. Thoroughly deserved after the way we finished the season! http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/mpl-league.html

Based on the "Winchester" off of the Umbro Teamwear website.

Was about to try this but it would be a nightmare to use due to the aap3 logo. its a shame because it would've been brilliant

My first attempt this year...

Yeah. He must be really ****ed off after having 5 and now 23! Loving the fact that Puncheon hasn't even got a squad number!!
