  1. Do you actually go to any games?
  2. shurlock

    Redmond

He has quick feet - not sure he has real pace, though.

  4. Baldrick’s gone all weird
  5. No, they weren’t playing a 4-4-2, notwithstanding the crap you were spouting yesterday. They played quite a defensive 4-2-3-1 insofar as Chilwell is a fullback. It was Vardy up top, Mahrez behind him, with Gray on the right, Chilwell, a fullback on the left and Iborra and Ndidi as the two DMs. In fact, Leicester’s formation yesterday was a a move away from 4-4-2 as Okazaki, the striker who’s partnered Vardy for the last couple of years, was benched. You were endorsing Leicester’s play even as it deliberately rejected 4-4-2. Make your mind up pal By contrast, most commentators saw Everton playing a ‘traditional’, ‘naive’ 4-4-2 in the first half (the consensus is that Rooney played more as no.9/striker in the first half). Of course, none of this was helped by Everton’s high back four that had a combined age of 100 - no doubt you’d also like us to play a higher defensive line. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/grey-skies-still-hover-everton-13829409 Naive sort of sums you up.
  6. The DIY-punk ethic taken to its logical conclusion.
  7. See Everton went with your beloved 4-4-2 yesterday, old fashioned wingers to boot and got absolutely battered in the first half. Not surprisingly they ditched the experiment sharpish. Make of it what you will pal.
  8. To be fair, Leicester shut up shop second half and let Everton have the ball. They were much the better side first half.
  9. You mean long balls with Okazaki and Vardy chasing everything down. They've played much more on the deck than I've seen them in recent months -and starting Gray is having an immediate impact. Unfortunately we didn't have the pace to play quick, neat counterattacking football, even as our best performances came away from home when we did give it a try.
  10. V.early days.
  11. Demarai Gray the new Thierry Henry? Instant impact playing him.
  12. Leicester playing well.
  13. Dogsh it.
  14. Agree they could have got more game time, particularly Boufal. Certainly both have a stronger claim for selection than Hojbjerg. Still an equally good case can be made for the other side. Contrast this with Romeu who used to get dropped quite a bit under Koeman, despite repeatedly putting in strong performances.
  15. You would say that, being one of the founding members of the Yoshida fanclub (along SOG, MLG, The9 etc). Hoedt is the better long-term prospect; but in the games they've featured together, he has been outplayed by Yoshida.
  16. This doesn't make sense. These players weren't bought to be back up or meet some fictitious, arbitrary quota. The hope is that they would be starters. The fact is that for various reasons they have struggled to nail down a starting spot. None of them can legitimately complain that they've been particularly hard done by.
  17. And keep my mouth shut.
  18. What brings you to these remote backwaters of the forum, pal? One might conclude that you're less interested in Jeremy Corbyn and the Death of the Labour Party and more interested in following me around given this is the first time you've posted here. You certainly are an odd little fella
  19. En Anglais?
  20. We were horrendous last season against Hull when we experimented with Tadic, Boufal and Redmond in the side. The irony is that the usual cretins dredge up the Hull game as evidence of Puel's negativity but conveniently forget that in that game he gave them exactly what they had been clamouring for. The problem with playing Tadic, Boufal and Redmond is that it leaves our midfield exposed and too large a gap between defence and attack.
  21. shurlock

    Boufal

Injured a fair bit too pal. Do you think Puel's going to drop Mahrez?
  22. I said Xi Jinping's face, not Gao's. Around the 6 minute mark. You weren't the clown who produced this, I hope
  23. Am sure Gao and the Chinese will appreciate President Xi Jinping's face being superimposed on an Imperial Japanese flag.
  24. That’s shîtty news. Suspect it won’t be one of Glasgow’s golfing weekends.
  25. Seems like it. If the Academy is so special, makes you wonder where all the world-class, emerging talent has gone. Alien abduction?
