  1. I wonder why Ministers were debating it then... https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/07/transitional-deal-that-keeps-uk-in-eea-is-worst-of-possible-worlds-says-davis
  2. Nothing to do with what me and my chums think. To the extent the UK is looking for a transition deal, it’s generally understood that the choice is between an off-the-shelf deal that largely mirrors other existing arrangements, though with possible tweaks at the margins and a bespoke deal that is not based on an existing model but is sui generis to the UK, informed by the May government’s various red lines. One doesn’t have to take a position on the feasibility or desirability of either to say that this is how the debate is understood by ALL sides. However, if you want to take comfort in the banality that any deal involving the UK, to the extent that it’s not been done before, even if it ultimately means plumping for EEA membership à la Norway, is bespoke, then fill your boots pal.
  3. Ludicrous to get rid after four league games, though arguably De Boer still bears the stigma of the Inter job. Dougie Freedman also strikes me as bit of a nob in the Chris Sutton mould.

    Cortese

We also built Staplewood which we obviously didn't need. We further spunked loads of cash on extravagant designs for private elevators, rescue parties for missing spoons and cleaning bills to remove faeces from the Benali family's swimming pool.
  5. Woods through the trees stuff. It's pretty clear what is meant by a bespoke deal. Just check the statements made by the main protagonists. http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2017/08/03/the-weird-fantasy-world-of-brexit-transition For a basic introduction to the different terms.
  6. Likewise we must have weak players, a weak manager, and weak footballing structure if a single coach can exert more influence than all those other things. It's pure bunkum.
  7. Easily the 7th best squad in the league? Make your mind up Glasgow. Yesterday you claimed that our squad was bang average when others challenged you, as alleged poster boy for the Puel out crowd, why we hadn’t seen a massive bounce back under Pellegrino.
  8. You do know the difference between a transition deal and a ‘bespoke’ transition deal?
  9. Dear god, derryitis is contagious.
  10. Only because Yoshida wasn’t playing pal.
  11. Don't quit your day job, pal.
  12. Uncle Jamie? Stranger things have happened.
  13. Even his fiercest critics claimed he picked the playing style and formation, so you never know...
  14. You might be onto something pal. Wasn't it suggested on here that Nik Nak dictated to Adkins to play 4-2-3-1 which was then adopted by Pochettino. That intervention turned out to be wildly successful. Perhaps Uncle Les is trying to recreate old magic by similarly overseeing playing style?
  15. Wishful thinking by people who think all Argies are related to Biesla -not to mention Pellegrino rhymes with Pochettino. Hell they even have the same initials. If anything, Pellegrino seems more like a Poundland Benitez.
  16. I understand that in a recent Q&A for FourFourTwo, Les named the late John Peel as a figure in another industry he admired. Make of that what you will.
  17. This time next year, Rodney...
  18. He's one-dimensional and a blunt instrument but I'd probably give Long a start: even with Watford sitting back, he still managed to stretch them after he came on.
  19. Maybe derry has some ideas.
  20. I've seen the morbidly obese get down quicker for a stick of celery than Forster get down to stop a shot.
  21. Which coincided with the loss of our best attacker (Mane) and a reliable source of goals (Pelle). And replacing them with a number of raw and unproven players.
  22. Saint lARd you sound like AR-10 in your dribbling relentlessness.
  23. Thought getting rid of Puel was going to unleash all the fantastic, pent up talent in the squad.
  24. Austin's such a lumbering f**k.
