  1. Baines is back - look forward to plenty of whipped set-in pieces and Kelvin imperiously commanding his 6 yard box
  2. Eagles will win what is a garbage division, though their wins against the Cardinals and Bears were impressive statements. They will be too much for a battered and bruised Cowboy D, especially with Sean Lee out again and a Romo-less O. Orton is a decent game manager but isn't as talented as Foles. Can't see the Ravens beating the bengals or the Jets doing us a favour. And frankly the Ravens don't deserve to be in the playoffs - releasing Boldin still ranks a monumental cockup given what was needed to restructure his contract. Otherwise, hope the Bears beat the Packers. If only football managers spoke as eruditely and candidly as Marc Trestman about tactics and decisions made during games.
  3. Agree- am reluctant to say RM as players move around but you can still dimly divine a 'shape'. We've had JWP, Davis, even Lambert there -all square pegs in round holes IMO.
  4. With Glasgow around, it's a case of monkey see, monkey do.
  5. Either way, don't think we've settled on a consistent RM and can see us bringing someone in.
  6. MP suffers a traumatic episode following a botched attempt to conduct a press conference in English and is unable to communicate in his own native Spanish. Efforts to use sign language prove short-lived and unsuccessful. MP is forced to retire from football having guided saints to the champions league in his first and only full season.
  7. Giaccherini is a class act - too good for Sunderland.
  8. And they've only got themselves to blame for not doing their due diligence on Carroll given his medical history.
  9. Roger - what did they tell you about those Lambert pictures.
  10. Am in for a grand too Never thought having fat fingers and one too many GS thread could be so lucrative God bless the mongboard.
  11. GS, GS... Your hatchet job = mission accomplished

    Vote Lallana

In between all the games I go to, incredible isn't it....
  13. In terms of getting another prem job or doing a Nige?

    Vote Lallana

Is a competition where armchair morons vote for players with the most fantasy league points, confusing make-believe with reality.
  15. Think it was closer to £1.5m
  16. Go check how much they spent in the championship and the garbage MM bought. He had ample time to prepare a squad ready for the -not to mention what they spent in the Prem (they almost beat us to Wanyama, you'll recall). This is in complete contrast to the success-on-a-shoe-string approach of Palace say.
  17. More loose tongues from the two dildos.
  18. Just saying that MM's undoubted achievements have to be put in context before the great British media bandwagon goes into overdrive claiming it was harsh to get rid of him.
  19. He certainly has the ability on the ball and willingness to take it forward to play as a DM.
  20. Big difference between NA and MM is that MM splashed the cash to get them out of the championship in the first place whereas NA had a much smaller budget. MM was much closer to Aidy Boothroyd than Brendan Rodgers in ability and nous.
  21. Actual Paul Morley quote
  22. Big difference is that MM splashed the cash in the championship in a way NA could only dream. Always thought he interviewed well but was more aidy boothroyd than brendan rodgers in terms of ability and nous.
  23. Very fair post.
  24. For the offside goal, he let in a virtually identical one against Chelsea. The shot is going to his left yet he has to reach over and across with his right hand. It just adds to the reaction time. Keepers should be able to make one handed saves with both hands, He also survived a similar incident to the one that led to Adebayor's first on Sunday, this time he was fortunate enough to be able to rock back and take the ball virtually on the byline without any incoming attackers. Don't get me wrong - he had a better game but the cracks were still on show, papered over by Cardiff's utter prolifigacy and toothlesnees.
