  1. Slow start in defending our net spend title but glad to get some points on the board.

Welcome. Not the biggest but has a compact, stocky build and low centre of gravity, so should be able to hold up the ball, back into defenders and turn them. With his finishing skills, should be an immediate upgrade on Long who, at times last season, did an underappreciated job in leading the line.
  3. Boris as the savior of the Tory party - Jesus we have some clowns on here.
  4. For that sum, I’d carry the fat f**k up there in a sedan chair myself.
  5. Because Brexit is a matter of faith to him and Johnson is the best bet to deliver it. LD has no moral or political conviction or principles beyond that.
  6. Good boy. I’m counting on your vote for Johnson.
  7. Are you a Conservative party member?
  8. Supposedly the photo was arranged/taken/distributed by one of Carrie’s political acquaintances. We do have some gullible old duffers on this place.
  9. Ken Clarke without the public service or sense of duty.
  10. Thanks for the summary.

  12. Or maybe a gritty art house film in the style of Lars Von Trier giving LD a blank canvas on which to indulge his rape fantasies.
  13. Of course, you would pal. Seeing there wasn’t a peep from you when Anna Soubry and Gina Miller received death threats -indeed they’ve only registered with you as objects of derision and belittlement- excuse me if I dismiss your valour and gallantry as a load of pious pony.
  14. Latest poll by yougov showing that most Tory party members are afraid of brown people. Hardly a surprise if you’ve followed this thread Bring on October 31.
  15. Remember that one of the main obstacles to an EU-India trade deal has been the UK’s opposition to more relaxed rules on migration. Bureaucratic, sclerotic EU blah blah blah.
  16. Does Obama post on here?
  17. I’m right. As is Liam Fox. As is Mark Carney. As is the Attorney General. As is the Director General of the WTO. As is every real expert on trade. You really are a special little fella.
  18. This is as idiotic as the helmets who think we can rely on GATT XXIV. We were never offered an outright FTA that would have set aside the withdrawal agreement. Yes we might eventually do a FTA per Tusk but only after the divorce bill, citizen rights and Irish border had been resolved. Specifically Tusk was referring to a Canada +++ deal in the context of a solution to the Irish border i.e. NI remaining within the customs union and subject to certain rules of the single market that May rejected. The sequencing of the talks was crystal clear; yet Brexiters contrive to misunderstand it.

  20. Head’s gone. You mentioned choice, not change. They’re not the same. If you want to give the membership a choice, you don’t give them a choice between two candidates who have much more in common with each other than with the other candidates. It’s not rocket science pal.
