  1. Not long before Wee Ross starts doing his own video reviews -even slipped from using “we” to “I” on occasion. Les would be proud.
  2. Johnson caught lying again...this time over kippers. MPs preempting ant attempt to suspend Parliament. An early GE looking more and more likely. Take a bow Margot James.
  3. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/goa/goa-gets-yet-another-deadline-for-open-defecation/articleshow/70263332.cms Hasn’t got a pot to pîss in. Quite literally.
  4. If so, it’s as funny as a Huddersfield grooming gang. Looks legit to me.
  5. The mackems sloppy seconds
  6. How about the Soviet Union pal?
  7. Just use your Heisenberg login, throw the haters off the scent. A worthy sacrificial lamb. #mess
  8. As a mongboard influencer, I suspect you have a target on your back too. Take care pal.
  9. Unlike say Forster, Austin is at the tail end of his career, so securing playing time and putting himself in the shop window is of less value. Moreover, he’s likely championship-bound whether he moves this season or next, so playing well is unlikely to attract any new suitors. All in all better to do it on his terms as a free agent. He might even get the odd runout in the PL this season. Needless to say, this calculus doesn’t apply to all players, especially those with a longer shelf life and a wider range of career outcomes.
  10. It helps that JWP has two functioning knees. Ultimately we gave an injury-prone player a generous contract in lieu of having to pay QPR a large transfer fee.
  11. A classic, catchy song and the name fits. You actually wonder why it’s not been used as a football chant by now - or if it has, at least, I’ve not heard it recently.
  12. Prussia could lay a decent claim to winning the Battle of Waterloo.
  13. For Moussa Djenepo to the Las “There she goes”. Djenepo It’s Djenepo again Scoring for the Saints And I just can't contain This feelin' that remains
  14. Wind your neck in pal. Someone else started talking about other industries. I simply pointed to a related industry where employers hold much more power. Even Derek could follow that.
  15. Asking you again, do you think we can away with those four attacking players with JWP and Hoj as holding midfielders and protecting our current crop of CBs behind them.
  16. Which moron said that?
  17. Yep never mind that most contracts guarantee only a portion of a player’s salary. That is players can sign huge contracts but teams can then cut them if they are not performing and will only be on the hook for a small amount of money. See Donovan McNabb a few years back. Frankly I have far more respect for a Le’Veon Bell (who was protecting his body in a position with a notoriously short shelf-life, knowing that the Steelers were going to run into him the ground and then likely move on from him) and Melvin Gordon (who has been playing on a depressed rookie contract and earning peanuts in relative terms) than any footballer who threatens to go on strike or demands a transfer despite having agreed to a contract and all the security it brings.
  18. You obviously don’t know how US professional sports, especially the NFL are run then.
  19. Though the power relationship appears to go all one-way in football. Play well and you lobby for a move despite your contract. Play badly and then your contract becomes the most sacred thing in the world.
  20. NZ will be gutted after those two lucky sixes.
  21. Wow - tiny glimmer
  22. Great catch
  23. Agree JWP isn’t a holding midfielder. We might get away with an attacking four if we bring in a more mobile upgrade on Romeu. But if we’re starting Romeu and Hoj, JWP will move further up and provide a bit more balance while one of Redmond, Djenepo, Ings or Adams will give way.
