  1. I hope that they leave enough time to do some catering.:smt053
  2. Echo saying Dickson is having medical today.
  3. This thread is a load of rowlocks. All the club had to do was start the plan earlier and send out the tickets in the first week in August once the final payment was met.
  4. Get of your high horse. Not everybody has access to a credit card.
  5. lots of our kids will not be going because they have been unable to go with their dads. They will never get into the habit of loving as we do and Jason my three ST's makes it 5 uunable to make it. My 6 yo gets enough stick now for supporting our team. How long will he do it now when he is verbally abused by all of the Utd,Pool,Chelski, spurs and City fans etc not forgetting the gooners. They are on telly every other week at least while we are maybe 2 or 3 times in a year if lucky.
  6. To go around upsetting others as he has I just hope that he proves to be a bloody good signing.
  7. Why am I *****ing when I say I feel that way. I have at no time in my post said a word against our club nor will I. In my opinion, by taking away the possibility of my kids going to a match there is the distinct possibility of my kids, and kids similarly situated, leaning towards a team and players that they see week after week on tv. The club must have had an idea of this extra cost before the decision was made. In which case they could have had two choices set before us. Cash up, front as they have, and an alternative pricing for the instalment plan for those less fortunate. Surely that is not as hard to work out as you seem to suggest. If it is then maybe they need different people organising the payments.
  8. What some people on here seem to forget is that there are people, like me, who are exceedingly short of funds. Some blacklisted and some who can not get a credit card. So telling me how simple the problem is to solve is not going to cheer me up. On top of me is an 11yo girl, a 6yo boy and a 4yo girl who would go occasionally in her brothers place. In an ideal world My whole family would go but the £30 transport costs for every home game makes matters far worse. I am not crying or pleading for help just stating a plain and simple fact. This is now the scenario I have pictured and fought against for a long time. I can see my kids watching other teams on the tv and becoming long distance utd or chelsea supporters as they will no longer be going to SMS. That to me is not a pretty picture but more parents of large families will be feeling the same.
  9. Our family club all of a sudden feels a little less family.
  10. He is good but not irreplaceable. He is though at least twice the player that we bought.
  11. If we could get £2.5m for him I would take it. He is good but not that good and does have a mental problem when his petulance shines threw.
  12. For what it is worth , I was close to despair last year. Now I am revving up the neighbours who hate us as they look like falling down, down. down. Could say they are feeling blue.
  13. If only it was that easy. There will be times when a game will be hard to arrange or will need to be re-arranged due to aanother game being cancelled or added through drawing a cup game for example.
  14. Brilliant sounding idea but how many games will we get to play every season.
  15. He was is and always will be a saint.
  16. no, you forget that old bill were there to protect the poor little coin throwing yobs from the blue side.
  17. I can throw the ball but can't run anymore!
  18. I have made a few posts where I have pilloried AP for team selection or style of play. I am still concerned by his sometimes overly negative stance but I believe the man has enough going for him to continue improving our team/squad. Overall our team has benefitted from his acquisitions. Even Semi gave us a little bit more than we had and how I wish his mind wouldn't wander during a game. NC has still got my support and to be honest , I don't give a toss if he comes across as a little arrogant or conceited. He has proved himself as among the best at his job and is our saviour along with Markus. That alone gives him the right to do as he sees fit to push our club forward. He has overseen the spending on more than just players and will continue to do so.
  19. Didn't know that you knew Rudi that intimately.
  20. Makes sense

  22. Too Cheap
  23. Bournemouth?
  24. I much prefer thinking ahead to the automatic promotion that we want this coming season. If we get three or four good players we must be in with a shout.
  25. I feel that line up would be ok as long as the team they faced did not want a fight. Too lightweight which is why we lost some matches that we should not have done. Drew does not add muscle to the team. We need muscle for the days when we have to roll up our sleeves and scrap.
