Maybe we will win that

Let us hope that our RB shows up today then. If he does I will be reasonably content with that side.

Ricky Lambert corners and free kicks

Is puncheon going to be able to take some corners and free kicks today? -
Most wins to minutes would clearly mean dropping the club captain for his younger rival. That I would agree with.

IF is a very big word. Let us win them before using them in an argument. How many times do we see teams with games in hand fail to take advantage and stay behind the teams they are chasing? Every season that's when. AP has brought a lot of players in. Some good, Lambert, Harding, Hammond,Jaidi Possibly Fonte though he looks frail at times. Puncheon I can't judge yet because I am still waiting to see him play.Seaborne may prove to be next season but I am not convinced. Barnard comes with a good CV but needs to provide us with some goals in the near future. The rest are simply injury prone or next to useless. Otsemobor is not a good acquisition nor is Murty. Connolly is injury prone.Waigo is too lightweight though he has some speed. Antonio has some strength and speed but little brainpower. All IMO of course. Then we come to the idea of chucking all of the new players straight into the team. Why? What purpose does that achieve apart from weakening the teams bonding. Seaborne looks as though he could become a solid defender but his prowess in the air needs drastic improvement. Fonte has looked good at times but he has also looked fragile when up against a big strong forward. Barnard looks like he needs time. All this and I have not even begun talking about some of the ludicrous substitutions that have cost us points.

Exactly. But I am a Saints supporter as well as fan. I have a family with 6 of us all waiting to get the new strip. I fully expect the shirt to have somewhere, a bit stating it is the 125th anniversary shirt of our great club.

Why do we field such weak reserve sides?
SFC Forever replied to Window Cleaner's topic in The Saints
I wonder how often we have a team of fringe players playing another team of our fringe players. -

Finally someone else brings up our worst problem at the moment. How do we keep the players who spend weeks on the fringe matchfit? Is there a way to play 4 teams in a week, because that is basically what we seem to need. -
Surely if a player is on a season long loan he is only ever going to play for a single club.

+1 You only have to see what happened last year to know that makes complete sense.
-
If Poopy have to slip quietly away so be it. I for one would feel embarrassed taking their place though and would hope that Brum get a bye.
-
If the team is up for it I would only add two to the team.Fonte for Perry and Puncheon for Antonio/Papa. 451 with Lallana having a more free role to link up with Ricky.
-
No he is just trying to keep his head above water.

There are times that I would. Especially if I wanted to check out something seen in a game that I wasn't sure of as it would either confirm or refute my memory of the event.

Ricky Lambert corners and free kicks

Has to be worth a punt. -
I would go with that. only poss doubt being jaidi and fitnes. but he has had two games and should be raring to go.

Pardew expects Southampton board to keep their word
SFC Forever replied to John B's topic in The Saints
My take on this is simple. (just like you, I hear) We started 10 points adrift and did a fine job once the team settled closing to within 9 points of the playoff positions. All season we have wanted another midfielder. One who can do a good job breaking up attacks and can pass the ball. Being able to score the odd goal an added bonus. We have brought in this January, a RB (supposedly) a CB who will hopefully be good for us next season and another who should be a success. In fact Fonte has shown touches of class so far. A midfielder who did quite well against our defence. I am amused by this because everyone and his dog has been moaning about our defence for years. I hardly think a good display against the defence we had is a good recommendation. Finally we get another forward to play presumably with Ricky. Trouble being with Lee is his lack of pace. Nowhere is there a sign of the one thing we have really been crying out for. Now I am still relatively content with our position to what it was. i have been saying for weeks that all I want to see now is the team performing with heart and some skill. we have the rest of the season to sort out the players that are going to stay. All of a sudden we have every position covered up to a point bar the one I have mentioned. I am left wondering whether AP is actually waiting for the close season to get his man. If so then next season should be a bloody great party for us who attend on a regular basis. If not perhaps someone who goes to the reserves regularly could let us know if we have someone in the wings nearly ready to play that position. -
This is why I have suggested the best option could be for a brand new stadium built outside of the City bounderies. More cost effective and far less inconvenient.

Fans favourite in such a short time shows that your quality doth shine through.

Typical really with all business oportunities. Saints have been good so far with prices and now we are saying thank you with excessive charges.
