  1. I don't think the majority of us on here hold anything against "Farmer". No matter what anyone will say on here there will always be somebody ready to argue the toss. I haven't used this site as much as a lot but always come here to find any snippets of information available. There are a few posters that I always look forward to seeing on here as they talk with an open and honest, sometimes forthright manner. This site has a lot of wind-up merchants and some that are simply cantankerous. We have some clever, some well educated and some like me who like to think we know more than we do. In short we have quite a large variety of folk on here, and for that I think we should be pleased. Variety is the spice of life after all. ART I am glad you wrote that as a lot on here will mirror your feelings. Farmer you did your best to tell us what you gleaned but you were like us simply being fed what we wanted to hear.
  2. Whoever plays let us pray the Sky jinx is now over as Millwall game live.
  3. Spencer Davis Group surely
  4. As Saints supporters we all need Blind Faith to keep us going with the belief that we will be saved.
  5. If Pinnacle didn't pay the dosh requested why would Fry have given them exclusivity? I thought it was a fixed fee for the chance to have first strike at the target.
  6. Love the photo. Think I got the message. Pic makes me feel even older.
  7. I could accept that
  8. Though I can see Aberdare's point I don't go along with all of it. With the current climate we are in a buyers market place. SFC taken as a whole entity can not now be worth as much as it was even a month ago. The buyers are only interested in the amount they need to spend in total to get us up and running again. Our creditors will realize less by forcing Fry to go for too much. The ground is still worthless to any builder due to it's previous existance. The council is most unlikely to give planning permission for either SMS or Staplewood and redevelopment. With all the fun and games we had through Pinnacle a buyer worth his salt will know that we are in a very poor position player wise. We desperately need some new blood in the squad and also some with some muscle and ability. All this costs money and even then as we know the spending offers no guarentee of success. Pinnacle taking so long has made it extremely difficult for any party taking over because of the short span of time left before we kick a ball in ernest. That in my book means we will fetch less.
  9. That was my take on his speech as well
  10. surely the price will now have come down somewhat. We have sold 2 players and lost Kelvin and now know that any buyer will have to curtsey to the FL.
  11. George Best at the Dell in the FA cup in his first season. We were 2 up at half time but Besty turned game on its head.
  12. With or without the points we would have needed a very healthy bank balance to buy some good and strong mobile players to help us out of this division.
  13. And where are you in that?
  14. As the deal Pinnacle made is on the table surely any new bidder will know fully what they are buying thus speeding up the process.
  15. With drew sold today we should surely have more than enough to pay next months wages. ST sales would give us more time and allow us to pay other essential items such as police and matchday bills. Like Trousers I can see no reason for creditors foreclosing. Just as I could see no reason for Barclays doing it 2 months or so ago.
  16. Or maybe they are so closely intertwined that it is nigh on impossible to separate them.
  17. Itdoesn't make sense but if MLT has put some of his own money in then at least he has helped keep us alive yet again.
  18. In which case we must have a chance of seeing some movement re the bid in near future. Perhaps Fry has kept them on the boil in case the first course was inedible. Now serve them up for us Mark so we can concentrate on the afters. Simple mundane things like team selection and style of play to suit our best 11.
  19. Sounds far too sinister but we are talking Southampton FC and anything seems to go nowadays. A lot of these questions will probably never be answered unless by someone ready for a law suit.
  20. I may be in need of medicinal help but I have a hunch we will be ok. Apparently Pinnacle only just pipped the Swiss when getting exclusivity so justmaybe we are closer than we think to being rescued. God I pray that is the case.

It was a cummalative problem not just one or 2 people. I still think the trouble started when Killer got injured and we didn't replace him with another good CB. That followed with relegation and our current predicament as we wasted more money buying crap to help us out.
  22. I wonder what that reminds me of. I know last seasons team. Threatened for a few minutes to make a go of it but never delivered. Well, not often enough anyway.
  23. Along with quite a few others
  24. Forgot to say our family is all 2. Not many away games though
  25. Do we really need a thread about how diverse or not our fans are?
