;)No need for mine then

I am more confident now and that is because we know exactly where we stand. If I was going to bid for the club I would tell everyone to accept punishment and start preparing for the title chase.

Meeting Thurs 23rd with Trust, SISA, Saveoursaints, 2 MPs, LM and MC
SFC Forever replied to derry's topic in The Saints
Isn't it funny how we quickly set our stalls out once the bidding frenzy has started. The Trust, has by it's lack of endeavour and blatant lies, shown itself to be concerned solely with its own agenda. Whilst I find it admirable that all groups, that are fan based, have a common goal and that is and should be the saving of our club. I find it odd that we have no say in the decision as to who and what we are to be in the future. A title for the venture isn't so very hard to find is it? SOUTHAMPTON FC 2009. Maybe? The Trust has the resources at the ready for the collection of monies. This I can accept if and when they hand this facility to someone, who has earned our trust. If these groups are ever to unite the need for speed will be imperative. The people who will be organising the new collective should be telling us what the real plans are and asking for our mandate. It is no good waiting for the time to act before deciding that there is no plan. Derry has been busy and I commend his actions to date. However I am loathe as are several others, I note, to have anything to do with the trust unless they are reined in as they will not have the weight of support that I feel we will have. The other groups I know nothing about so, as a lot on here will probably agree, Derry is our main focal point. There have been some useful imputs from professional people who use this site and again I appreciate their offers of help. However before we go to meet with other groups we have to have our plans at the ready. If the others are not close enough to ours then we simply say thanks but no thanks. If this action is going to be necessary then the means and organisation must be able to be up and running immediately. -
It doesn't matter who says what. Or even if we are fully exempt from league sanctions. Mawhinney has reacted like a little petulant schoolboy as a lot of people expected him to. The League reaction, akin to me taking my ball back because you are winning does not surprise anybody over much. What that redfaced monkey does not seem to realise is the damage he has done by the manner he has run this show. If he had simply said you are morally bound together so therefore you will receive a 10 points deduction, nobody would have said a word. Well, we might have moaned but we would have accepted the punishment. Instead what that person has done is morally indefensible. He has usurped his power and made the league a laughing stock by his lack of moral fibre. ALL IN MY OWN OPINION OF COURSE.

League deduct 10 Points - Will apply in L1 Next Season
SFC Forever replied to Danny's topic in The Saints
It is not only our country feeling the pinch moneywise. UEFA have already spoken about this idea as have FIFA. I think it is going to happen sooner rather than later and when it does the clubs spending the most will be the ones hopefully who come off worse. -

We now need to stand firm and show potential buyers that we will still be here next season. And for years to come as well. -

LOWE WANTED TO SCREW US AND DID JUST THAT. IMHO of course. -
Congratulations. Not much could give us a chuckle at this moment in time but you have succeeded sir.
-
I don't care who it is as long as the club comes first and there is money to spend.
-
Time to beat another plasyoff side then, I guess.
-
Lowe must be good at something. The Luvvies make one wonder whether they have intimate knowledge of Wotte exactly it is.

If you love the club as much as it seems then £5 would enable you to do just that. -
Dowie is also one that I would find acceptable.

Alan Pardew could be an interesting call. Though our ability to afford his wages would be a possible problem. Having said that I feel he would at least stick around for a while. Donny and Bournemouth have 2 men mentioned on here and of the two I would happily accept O'Driscoll I also like Tisdale and think he would be a good choice. How far we have fallen when we seem quite happy to discuss the prospect of having a manger with his qualifications. It makes one realise that we now have a very long way to go before we can strut our stuff in the upper echelons of English league football. Maybe we will be able to turn our ground into a fortress at last. It has nearly finished us and now we have to tame it. I remember the days when we actually played football as a team and dared the opposition to try to score more goals than us per game. We have a long way to go and I think the next manager has to be strong with a certain amount of tactical nous. Someone who will get us behind the team and him. Someone who we will happily sing about for a few years.
-
A 10 point deduction may be enough to stop automatic promotion but shouldn't be enough to stop qualifying through the playoffs if we are good enough It is not the end of the world. We have to be bought and then find a manager who can both manage and provide us with a team to cheer. We will not be doing a Luton as the worst scenario will be minus 10 points. Even if Lowe tried to screw us yet again we will prevail. KEEP THE FAITH.
-
Fond memories of Orient. Last game of season 1 point needed by both teams and comfortable draw. Too drunk to remember much about the game.
-
I feel less pain than I thought defeat today would bring. Even my 5yo has helped by saying can we go to more games next year. Guess being a fan doesn't leave many choices.
-
I want to return to my glueless paradise but can't because I'm stuck

Why didint the fans save us from administration?
SFC Forever replied to Frank's cousin's topic in The Saints
The biggest mistake any bidder can make is to remain aloof. Treat the buyers of tickets as a necessary evil like the predecessor. By remaining tight lipped he gave everyone the opportunity to turn against him. If we had known the truth with regard our fragility it is possible that we could have helped by being more easy on the board. The man kept his own council and he was horribly wrong in nearly everything that he tried. Moving from the Dell without added funds was a serious error. Not getting a replacement for Svensson was another. Redknapp was an even bigger error of judgement. Changing Managers as often as he blew his nose, another. Our new ground was built in a poverty stricken area of the city. We should and could have used a large supermarket chain to help with the costs. A slightly larger ground wouldn't have hurt either. The cost of a second tier when originally built would be a hell of a lot less than it would cost in the future. Let us hope that whoever takes us on can keep us in the picture. We don't need to know every little detail but just feeling part of the picture has to help increase club feeling amonst fans/followers and locals. -
Why are pro-Lowers MORE vociferous now??
SFC Forever replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
Careful now. You saying that he is an imbecile is going to far. Imbeciles know when to quit. -
Why Didn't Mike Osman save us from Administration?
SFC Forever replied to Deppo's topic in The Saints
Not even close. I'll smile once club is safe. -
And buy more rubbish at prices we can't afford.
-
With the way that money has been wasted over the last few years you are making a very sure statement. How on earth do you know we wouldn't have been in a worse position?
-
Dyer permanently to Swansea, keeps the club going.
SFC Forever replied to derry's topic in The Saints
If the sale of Dyer gives us the time to sort our mess out then I will be happy enough. At the end of the day I need my club to survive more than I need Dyer. Though both would have been nice.
