  1. Please carry on...I for one am intrigued to know what YOU KNOW about Cortese that leads you to that conclusion. No assumptions, no making stuff up mind...just pure hard fact please. Oh and by the way, I'll not be holding my breath for an answer!
  2. You just know that there will be some utter tools that will boo and try to create a poor atmosphere to make their own juvenile little point. Personally, I think we should all wear cut out Nigel masks. That'll show 'em.
  3. Good post - sums up the reason why some are still making up stuff - they've not moved past their depressive states.
  4. Thought it was pretty good tbf.
  5. I think it speaks volumes about why KD is club Captain - highly professional sportsman and a servant of the Club.
  6. Nah, let's go backwards and ask Pimpley if we can ground share at Far ton Park - it'll suit the 'family' club mentality for some.
  7. At last, some tangible proof that the sensible money is on supporting the club rather than handing a win on plate to Everton.
  8. I was pretty saddened lie most about the whole affair, but I find the childish depressed numpties vharping on about how evil Cortese is to be frankly boring. So boring that I am now numb to the sadness and just want to get behind the team on Monday - its what supporters do best. Trying to second guess the circumstances of Adkins departure is not.
  9. Idiotic perspective - juvenile at best. The two positions you cite are clearly not exclusive. Or to put it in terms you and Turkish might understand, they picked up a bargain thus saving Saints.
  10. What a bunch of fools post on here. At least do some simple research first.
  11. So many jumping to conclusions - nobody but Adkins and Cortese knows the truth about how Adkins was 'treated'. Sure, he lost his job - he probably didn't want to lose it (or perhaps he did - who knows?) - but the circumstances were more than likely professional. And on reflection I reckon Nigel will be looking back on the last two years thinking "what a great springboard that SFC job was!".
  12. No, I am saying Cortese runs the show, but the show does not belong to him. He is looking after ML's estate - a guardian perhaps. WTF has this got to do with militia FFS - are you for real?!?
  13. The Estate is run by Cortese - the family have no dealings with club. What agenda do you have? Have we not suffered enough over the last couple of days without trying to rake up even more dirt? FFS.
  14. Was one of the 1st to post - great idea.
  15. As previously discussed, the changes we will see will come at the back in terms of defensive shape and up top in terms of players who have pace and ball skills. I think Puncheon will now stay. De Ridder may actually be given an opportunity to shine. Gaston will play. Lallana may keep his place if he can stay fit. We will see more of JRod and less of Lambert until the Manager starts to panic. We will see more youth like Ward-Prowse. We may see a new foreign playmaker to replace Davis or even Cork (who are not getting into advanced positions enough and scoring goals). Not sure where Lee or Mayuka will fit in one maybe covers for Gaston? I can see Gazza being given another shot in goal.
  16. Leeds in the 70's was my boyhood 2nd team. Loved the likes of Brenner etc. It would be fitting to see Adkins there and would allow me to once again take an interest in their fortunes. Not only that I would like to see Warnock shafted - can't stand the ***t!
  17. All very well, but most of the commentators are viewing the situation looking backwards only. Cortese will be considering how he can shape the future and if he thought NA could not fulfil that vision then he is only going to do one thing and that's make a change. One thing is for sure, at least we're not seeing the youth coach being appointed to 'save money'.
  18. Yeah - had a chat. He says don't worry he'll be fine - he'll remember us and hold us almost as dear to his heart as the Scunny fans. (Hope that makes you feel a bit better).
  19. Oh dear...open letter eh...sent to who? Sometimes I despair.
  20. Excellent post - completely agree.
  21. Good post - but just remember one thing. Everything - including giving Adkins a chance in the first place - has been masterminded by Cortese. And he's not been wrong so far. Adkins is in a comfortable place - he's proven himself at the top of English football - he will never need to worry where the next meal is coming from or indeed if his last million might run out. He'll be OK. And hopefully he'll always remember us as fondly as he clearly did his Scunny friends.
  22. [quote=View From sention't think I've read anything on here, twitter, elsewhere, where anyone has suggested not. That doesn't, however, mean that we can't let the world know on Monday night that we don't agree with the decision/timing/way in which it was done. For me it was a decision that should have been made either months ago or at the end of the season and whenever it was it should have been handled way better than it was. I understand the sentiment and agree it was strange at best, however these things happen and there are more important things in my life I guess that allow me to react to this situation in a rational, calm and reflective manner. Nothing I say or do will change the decision - the only reason to dwell on it would be to use the situation as a platform to cause trouble. Some people like doing that - it's how they get their kicks.
  23. Still of the same mind. Gutted we've lost NA but realistic enough to know that nothings forever (even Nigel knew this) and the club will move on (as will NA). I'm a Saints supporter - I do that by going to support the team with fellow supporters regardless of who the Chairman, Manager, players or tealady are. Pochetino deserves our total support- as do all the players - let's draw a blue line under it and move on.
