My personal opinion is that the club is already owned by far too many people - i.e. that's because its a PLC with many shareholders. This is the main reason why the club cannot be sold and why investment will not be forthcoming...there are too many interested parties. So for that reason, I think this idea stinks so highly, even a dung beetle would find it repulsive.

Well tWotte a surprise...tWotte and Poortaloo are not held in high esteem in Holland. Jeez I think this was stated last year when they arrived here preaching how "revolutionary" the football will be! What a load of rubbish - I've seen most 'ordinary' teams (with young players) play much better football than us at SMS - nice fluid triangulation. It ain't that difficult really, except Lowe wants us to believe its revolutionary! tWotte a joke.
-
The big question is whether the 1st team will ever be settled with a first choice 11. And even then, will it be too little too late? We need wins.
-
Completely agree with your thoughts here Arizona.
-
You defend from the front - Saga is stronger - McG is too weak on his own to do this job properly. Its simple stuff, but our tWotte might not recognise this yet.
-
If it's honesty you want, why not ask tWotte why he was less than honest when he said he would play a different system? He didn't and we got d*cked in the first half. He put Saga on in a 4-4-2, within 10 minutes we look a threat and score and then we ended up drawing - through a Saga goal. I think there are some people who are not being HONEST with themselves.
-
Saga - an international striker, who scored in the last game - dropped to the bench and played as a joker from half time. Now then, does that look like the actions of a manager that KNOWS HIS SQUAD?! Does it f**k. We were lucky tonight - lucky that Saga still has some fire in his belly despite being treated like a 2nd hand condom. And yet McGoaldrought manages to get selected and then keeps his place on the pitch - not only does this guy not earn a place, he keeps a better player on the bench or playing out of position (e.g. Euell/BWP). Incredible. I am not going to be a happy chappy if tWotte keeps Saga on the bench and plays anything other than 4-4-2 at home on Saturday. I'll wait on the match reports from those who braved the journey, but it looks to me as if little or nothing has changed.

Well, well, well....Saga scores FFS. How strange. See how its done McGoaldrought? Come on Saints.
-
Trouble is, with the subs being used, we've now got a completely unbalanced team. Euell should have replaced McGoaldrought to give more presence up front with Saga.
-
No, but it is a f-ing comedian.

LMFAO! Coffee over monitor moment...thanks, I needed a laugh...
-
Wotton is stupid as well as cr*p. Just got booked for arguing with the ref - as if we've not got enough problems just trying to get the football back from the mighty NORWICH....FFS.
-
We will end up committing too far forward and concede again before we trouble their keeper...wait and see...
-
Radio H saying that Saints players arguing among themselves - well what a surprise...failed system and they can do f*** all about it.
-
THAT is absolutely f-ing SHOCKING! Especially when Saga is on the bench. McGoaldrought NEVER gets dropped - WHY?!?!?!?

When can Ruperts Dutch experiment be considered a failure?

Err, how about 5 minutes from half-time? -
Absolutely spot on the money. And I can independently vouch for the fact that Leon has made his money through wise investment in his companies infrastructure. And the manner in which he has directed this has been primarily to satisfy his customers expectations and then some. For an engineering company, the operation can be considered top class and there is a low turnover of staff. You don't get that if you're a poor businessman. Pity he didn't get the chance to deploy some of that skill over a decent period of time at SMS.

Now I do not know this for sure, but what if Lowe and Wilde were drawing a salary for their position and 'services' to the PLC? It would not surprise me in the slightest, even if viewed from a neutral perspective. If they could maintain their power base all the while drawing a salary, eventually they will effectively recoup their investment in share value. They can do this whatever league we're in and they even do this at a distance and with little personal time spent in attendance at the club - you know, like going away on holiday, propping up Jersey business etc. etc. Lastly, why on earth would Crouch (or anyone else for that matter) invest any money in SFC when it would not result in the departure of Lowe and Wilde themselves? For Lowe and Wilde to suggest such a thing demonstrates their clear devotion to their wallets rather than the saving of SFC IMO.

Sounds a bit like a Bill Bailey sketch song... "Alien Goats in a Goat State"... I'll get me goat...ahem, I mean coat.... >>>>

I wouldn't mind having his legs - at nearly 50 years old, mine are well past running a pitch for 90mins! There was a link to Wiki from the photo though.

Wonderful if true and I would like Leon to have some involvement too, but I am very very skeptical...
-
Now where has that come from? I think there's as much chance of money coming from Holland over here as there is me taking home Kate Winslet for a 'chat'! Nice try.
-
It's all a massive mistake by Lowe. He could have used his last trump card - Dowie - but he has once again failed miserably to deal with the situation properly. I am now looking forward to administration - it will be more exciting than the football now to see Lowe and Wilde turfed out on their @rses with no shares between them. Keep on rollin'.
-
On the face of it, Lowe has once again made a fantastically poor choice when he had a chance to really get it right. Like Leon got it right in the nick of time with Pearson's appointment. This decision though will see us into League One and possible administration IMO. UNLESS! Perhaps - just perhaps - Lowe is appointing Wotte as Head Coach and then appointing a proper Manager with some experience like Pardew or Dowie. Now that would make some sense, but I am not holding my breath on that one.

Ah the one that's 6ft 6" tall? :smt037
