  1. And for me, this is why he should be hounded from Hampshire for good. He cannot look a single fan in the eye and apologise. He's like Brown. "I built the stadium" he claims. I bet he couldn't name a trowel in a line-up of kitchen utensils!!! Rupert. You did some good. You did some harm - and latterly more of that than good. But you never once appreciated that there are two assets you had at your disposal, totally overlooking their contributions - your people and the fans. Be honest with yourself old chum or else your life is destined to be wasted.
  2. Nick, i like you. But it's like you are denying the holocaust. With so much evidence what more do you need to see. Lowe took from the club from day one. He claims he was not resposnible for the debt, but 90% of the debt is a mortgage on a stadium... Ask yourself what the following has cost us: A radio station Manager payoffs Share dividends and buybacks Director salaries Clive Woodward EGMs Change in plc status Oh and RELEGATION - TWICE!!!!
  3. If there were investors there today, it will have come as no surprise to them to see a very poor football team and some pretty disgruntled fans. What you buy when you buy a failing football club is the potential to turn it around. So I think we can calm down with feeling that any fans will be at fault if a buyer is not found.
  4. I take it back. Why should I stump up cash to pay for Euell (15k per week couldn't hit a barn door with a barn), Skacel (8k per week, couldn't give a t0ss) and Wotte - an idiot hired by an idiot to replace an idiot. Burn the ground and start again.
  5. Time For Rupert. 50/1. Aintree today. Winner. I told you when I have these dreams it's normally for a reason.
  6. I think you meant the balance sheet before relegation and afterwards. Of course he could keep us afloat for ONE YEAR. We sold the family silver. The day the silver was sold, we were F U C K E D. What would Rupert have done to compensate for the £36m drop in revenue?? Closed some more corners??????? He started the fire. Ignited it. Lit it. Blew oxygen on it. And stoked it good and proper. Then Wilde threw petrol on it. So? We were already ablaze. And both should be burned at the fecking stake for their work. Morons the pair of them.
  7. Banks. Like they lent 125% mortgages and loans to people with no jobs. Because despite telling everyone on paper that asset values can rise and FALL - the whole lot of them forgot. I had a meeting with C&G who were firing decent mortgage brokers so they could concentrate on sub-prime debt - unbelievable... Fecking muppets all of them - apart from the honest buggers sat on the tills dolling out smaller and smaller amounts of cash and being lambasted for the failure of their paymasters, the Bank of England and totally incompetent Chancellor and now Prime Minister!!! And Lowe was a banker - says it all...
  8. What this poll shows (and I put myself down for a few quid having got the trifecta up in the third race at Aintree today and backed five winners besides) is that there are countless people who would and might save this club. They're called FANS. And they are and always have been what football existed for. Viva La Fecking Revolution!!!!
  9. Agreed. Also, when the feck have they invested millions???!!!! Bought shares maybe - in a business they fecked up. Good luck to them - not!
  10. Not for a moment suggesting Rupert is sharper than Bates - as if!!! But the rules changed subsequent to Leeds demise and there might well have been a loophole opened as others were closed? I hear administrators have been out on standby by the bank!!! BTW.
  11. Hmm, when my old firm went TU, the new buyers were able to take only those subsidiaries that they were interested in (mine being one) and the rest went to the wall. You would have to know the intracate details of the financial arrangements to second guess but maybe Rupert has created a safety net which Bates was unable to? Who knows...
  12. Straight up, no bull. I was in a bar at the races and Rupert came in looking very red faced and smiling. He bought a round and told me he had managed to save the club, but I cannot recall how (sorry)!! I NEVER have these preminition type dreams but when I do...
  13. That is also what a bloke from Brewer Dolphin seemed to imply on Radio Five this morning..
  14. You're applying to the wrong team mate with those credentials. Get your application in to a Mr Wotte...
  15. The Lunatic Unhinged... I like it...
  16. The BBS? Have they had yet another bloody rebdranding from Lambie Nairn???
  17. We are being led by a maniac - you 'might be right'??? Nicky boy, are you a member of the Flat Earth or Cyrtsalline Air societies by any chance??
  18. I would rather just have a win thanks...
  19. It is worth using any time. It is empty and perfect blacktop. If you want to test the top speed of any motor, who could ask for more?
  20. And this is where THIS debate and the debate about Tesco collide. What SHOULD be done but WON'T is that the capitalist world should re-appraise its morality and values, and redress the aspirant culture which demands that those who are paid and are 'worth' more should somehow be lauded as more worthy. A more informed and astute government would recognise the moral bankruptcy which has accompanied the so-called 'wealth' generation. We should redress the balance of borrowing and income by taking a more discreet view of wealth in the context of health, sufficiency and human values. We had people borrowing on their homes to buy expensive cars in the belief that somehow they were rich when in fact all they had was 'paper' money in a building that was supposed to be the roof over their and their families' heads. We had people borrowing to invest in buy-to-let on the basis that this was a legititmate way to make a living - conveniently forgetting that values rise and FALL - always have and always will. If there is something that should be done it is this. Pay off debt. Allocate income to that which is important. Refocus on values. Create REAL wealth from productive income not financial chicanery. Set taxes at levels of sustainability based on need (why the feck were local governments taking money from me to invest in Iceland?). Reward and recognise contributions to national product and not national income. One thing is certain - you cannot spend your way out of debt.
  21. This is brilliant PR by a labour government who have fecked us all over twice or more... Instead of concentrating on all those people losing jobs and homes let's divert attention to the Royal family. Personally, I have nothing against the Royals. The immediate family do attract tourism and also spend countless hours working on promoting our country and companies abroad. The royal warrant is valued around the world. Ask anyone who has worked their whole life and been given an honour by the monarch whether it matters to them and you will find it does. So would you rather give the Queen 32p a year - which I think is what she costs us all. Or give the bankers £2,500 grand, which I think is what we've all given them SO FAR!!!
  22. I shop in Waitrose not because I am a snob but because the profit is divided between the partners (staff) and it does not answer to shareholders who squeeze additional margin where there is really none to be squeezed. I also buy free-range and organic meat becuase I want to eat meat that's been fed grass or feed, not other dead animals. Does it cost more? Yes. So I go without something else. We should never cut corners on food production. It's what is killing us.
  23. Every industry tends to monopoly, that's economics and capitalism for you. When ONE company is so dominant that is can crush its own supply chain at will, that is morally questionable. What are you paying farmers now for milk? How are those chickens and cattle raised? Who decides? Your shareholders. Who are they? Oh, pension funds and hedge funds. Do they give a stuff how your supply chain operates - the short-cuts food producers might take to compensate for the extra % you squeezed out of their margin? Who is to blame? We are. When consumers put a value on life, not a price, they might learn.
  24. Walmart?? Do your research!
