Any idea what his in-game management is like? Would be great to have someone who can react to the game rather than just making pre-planned subs. As far as a song goes, surely we repurpose the Tadic song?
-
Really?! If that is the case that is ridiculous.

I’m assuming it’s the day after the game, which is usually Sunday rather than Monday.

Martin talking as if before the red card it was an even game. We were 3-1 down at that point.

Different board I know but Ralph survived two 9-0s! If Martin was going to get sacked then we surely would be done it during the international break. An expected loss to Liverpool is unlikely to make any difference. -

In our last 6 games there we have won 4 and drawn 2 so I'm not sure where they've got that idea. As for the first 2 points, they are probably right. RM himself said it's basically a game of high press vs playing out from the back. Given that they have better players than us, I can only see it going badly for us. I'd like to see some height up the middle so that we can play longer and actually hold it up. -
Tight hamstring keeping him out apparently, rather than dropped altogether.
-
Let's face it: if they thought people would pay more, they'd charge it.
-
I get your general point but I don’t think you can describe someone who is 5 foot 8 or 9 as a man mountain 😂

His current wages are £325,000 a week. That’s nearly £17m a year…

Alfie House made this same comment on the Total Saints Podcast. Don’t be surprised to see THB drop out if we do go to a 4. The Brentford fan they had on also said that Palace played a back 3/5 and struggled, so hopefully we will play a 4.

This new format with the European teams drawn first is an absolute joke.

I totally get the multi-club model and why SR are signing these players for the other teams, with the hope they’ll one day be good enough for us. What I don’t get is why every player seems to be signed by us, then loaned, rather than just signed by Goztepe or Valenciennes? Is it purely because we have more financial room in terms of PSR? Is it the pull of a Premier League club, despite players knowing they’re not actually coming here? Surely it’d make sense for some of these players to just sign directly for the other clubs, to spread the costs amongst the books?
-
First player on that list is Goztepe-bound Victor Hugo too…

I follow the link on Saints official Twitter, which then opens in the app. You can still watch it back now.

Going to have to be a formation change. Might make us concede more but if we don’t start scoring that won’t matter.
-
Jack Stephens has both himself and Archer in his starting FPL team today- wonder if it’s a clue to our line up!
-
Whether we play a 5 or a 4, our style of ‘defend the centre of the pitch at all costs‘ defending often allows wide men or full backs to cross into the box unopposed. Think this could be a problem with the quality of their wide men and Chris Wood, so hope we try to get out to them a bit more today.
-
Not if the striker loan came from abroad.
-
He (RM) was saying that he showed the players a clip of himself from his own playing days which demonstrated how not to defend.
-
I think the idea is players go to Goztepe to develop, and if they’re deemed good enough, we can then sign them. French 3rd tier is way too low to establish a player’s quality.
-
I think it’s a joke…
-
He certainly would’ve buried that BBD header from Sugawara’s cross in the first half. BBD really should’ve scored that.
-
Pretty sure he’s very good with his feet. De Zerbi dropped Sanchez (now Chelsea’s number 1) for Steele because of this. Shot stopping, on the other hand, I’m not so sure.

As well as new players, we should be doing everything we can to keep KWP. Still think he’s our best player and could be the difference between staying up or not.
