  1. Somewhere on a Roma forum, there’s a fan saying the same about Bednarek vs Man United. Unfortunately for them it’s true 😅
  2. I think it has been reported that they need to sell before they buy, so I guess it depends on who they get rid of.
  3. Thought Welington looked really up for it today so hoping he’ll emerge as our first choice.
  4. RE: the guy that collapsed- it was literally right in front of me. The guy next to him, who I think was his dad, sort of grabbed him and helped him down to the ground and he narrowly missed hitting his head on the bar in front of him. It was fairly obvious that he had just fainted but obviously needed to not take any risks. I do agree that it’s not always necessary to stop the game but when everyone around him called the stewards, they didn’t really do anything other than talk into their walkie talkies. There were no medical staff on our side of the ground. If it actually had been a heart attack or something, time would be of the essence so, given the lack of anyone coming to help, the crowd shouted to the players and they called the club physios over. It was just a sensible way to deal with the situation and thankfully everyone was fine. If it had happened at SMS there probably would’ve been medics close by to sort it without stopping the game.
  5. Mine isn’t working now so don’t think so. Though it probably expired a couple of weeks ago.
  6. Ah cheers. I guess there’s a couple of weeks for them to reemerge or gonna need an alternative.
  7. I just went to check the telegram channels, logging in for the first time on a new phone but with the same phone number, and I can’t see any of them anymore. Any ideas?
  8. Still mentioned ‘trauma’ in his recent interviews, which is the new scar tissue.
  9. So who do we think main contenders for autos and top 6 are, as it stands? Ipswich, Leicester, Saints and Sheffield United favourites to battle it out for autos? Then Birmingham and West Brom just behind those 4 and the likes of Coventry, Bristol City, Norwich fancying a play off place too?
  10. Dejan Lovren. Refused to return for preseason and declared he already felt like a Liverpool player whilst still under contract at Saints. IIRC he got subbed off early on in our 3-2 comeback win against them after crumbling under the abuse he was getting from the Northam. Chuck VVD in there for the same reasons. But at least he was actually good.
  11. Even still, their highest ever transfer in seems to be about €21m. I can’t see them spending more than twice that on Dibling.
  12. Does anyone know whether Martin and Juric both getting new jobs is likely to have saved us any money? Not really sure how it works when a club sacks a manager- are we still paying them?
  13. Obligatory Youtube compilation:
  14. Linked with Strum Graz attacker William Boving, albeit by Football Insider: https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-southampton-want-to-sign-title-winning-forward-william-boving/
  15. That is hideous. Looks like it’s been done in MS paint.
  16. Beating Ipswich with a late winner was a nice little bit of revenge, even though it ultimately didn’t mean much.
  17. First game at St Mary’s and he’s got to put up with Rishi Sunak asking for a selfie with his Mrs.
  18. That might depend on whether or not they get a points deduction and whether they’re able to spend any money this summer.
  19. Only 2 teams (PSG and Lille) have conceded fewer goals than Still’s Lens in the league this season so he can obviously coach a defence, which is something we desperately need.
  20. That quote is discussed!
  21. Talking of ex-managers, this is a great listen with WGS: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/lets-be-having-you-the-00s-football-podcast/id1746684824?i=1000705473210 There’s a first part too but this is the one he talks about his time at Saints. He discusses that he just wanted to win games and didn’t care about sticking to a particular style. That’s what I’d like in a new manager.
  22. It hasn't been called the Premiership since 2007 so I actually think our Premiership home record is probably not that bad.
  23. I agree, but we’ve got to try to avoid having to spend the majority of our transfer budget to sign them when we hopefully go up. Spending £40m to keep Downes and THB and not improving the team was a killer this summer.
  24. Pep has managed Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City. Not sure he's ever had to prove he can improve cheap players!
