Davis deserves his cult status and recognition for his loyalty, no doubt. He was a bit of a liability in goal a lot of the time though. Every shot near the bottom corners looked like it would go in.

We were, unbelievable that Pellegrino lasted so long. Les Reed was also an idiot for giving Hughes a 3 year (?) contract. Should have thanked him and sent him on his way. When you look at how we were run then, you start to appreciate the job that Ralph, Semmens and others have done since.

Did Ralph say we are no longer a selling club? I took it to mean that we no longer have to wait until we have sold someone to buy, rather than that we wouldn’t sell them at all. I know it’s not going to be the same model as Brentford but if you look at how they’ve built success, it’s been from selling when the time is right and reinvesting wisely. Ings for £30m when his contract is running down would still be a no brainer. That said, I wonder if we will now get better at getting players to sign new contracts and therefore not being forced to sell or lose for nothing?

I know nothing about Serbian media or politics, but a quick Google search of Kurir, the newspaper that ran this article, suggests it should be taken with a pinch of salt. Pro government tabloid and rival media group to Slovak’s. Also just seen a video of Slovak suggesting that other Serbian media groups are dishonest, so I’m guessing there could be an ulterior motive.

Pretty sure Redmond will play and he deserves to after the Leeds game. He’s also been taking our corners in the absence of JWP, and probably doing a better job of it too.

Great result, even if it could have been more. I was sceptical about the line up but it worked well. I actually though Moi put in an excellent shift and was often in the right place at the right time defensively. Salisu and Bednarek both really good and Romeu is made for games like these. There’s a slight question mark about how clinical we are but hopefully the goals will start to come.

I actually think Moi is contributing a lot defensively.

I’m hoping Broja starts. As well as his great run last week, he was also the only player to get on the end of a JWP corner. I actually think our corners have been pretty poor so far this season and a set piece is probably going to be our biggest chance to score today.

Makes sense to play one up front I guess. Doesn’t make sense for it to be A Armstrong though. Either Che or Broja if we’re going lone striker please.

Is S Armstrong likely to be back? I’d say Moi deserves to keep his place on current form but would probably drop Moussa for Redmond/Tella/S Armstrong.

You ok there? If you don’t understand the time point there’s not need to get worked up about it. There’s lots of things that individuals do that isn’t great for the environment but Saints (as a club/business) are advertising shirts as eco friendly with a very eco unfriendly sponsor on them.
