I think he’d more likely be competition for Redmond and Armstrong as can’t see JWP not playing and presumably Diallo will partner him.

Just because you don’t agree with a comment doesn’t make it pointless. I’m really not convinced that this is a positive step for the club. -

This is true. But it’s possible for our situation to get worse as well as better. -
Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur - Build Up

Indeed. I don't understand why we seem to have decided to play a high line with a sweeper keeper when neither our defence or 'keeper are good enough for it? -
So by the end of September we could be 3 games from a cup win! Let’s hope we look as fit as we did in the last 9 games. No doubt the schedule will suit teams with bigger squads.
-
Valery is still second choice RB surely? Who else do we have?
-
Maybe they are different types of players? Or maybe Ralph doesn’t feel like Reed is good enough it fits the system well?
-
Seems Arsenal were among teams looking at Mangala not long ago. It sounds like he has potential but isn’t the finished article yet- the sort of signing Ralph likes. http://sportwitness.co.uk/arsenal-sniffed-around-signing-e20m-mystery-offer-made-second-division-player/

Only way I’d buy one is if it didn’t have that shite logo. Hopefully this is a fault with all of them!

Works for the Express and Talksport; think I'll take it with a pinch of salt.
-
Even then it only mentioned that we were one of about 4 Premier League clubs interested though I think? The way some of our fans are talking, particularly on Twitter, you’d think there’s been sightings of him at Staplewood.
-
Has there been a single credible link to McKennie? He sounds like he’d fit in very well but I haven’t seen anything to convince me we’re actually pursuing him.
-
I’ve seen some stuff on Twitter about him holding out to play for Spain, but I’m not sure if/how he is eligible.

Good article here: https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/southampton-stuart-armstrong-interview-brendan-rodgers-celtic-ralph-hasenhuttl-562073

Judging on today's penalty, that table would be the same if he was our normal penalty taker!
-
He did win lots in the air when balls were being launched in towards the end but he gets beaten to flick ons a lot, often by players who are a lot shorter than him. He also gets turned very easily. That said, this was probably one of his better games.
-
Hahahaha unlucky Bournemouth. Good old VAR.
-
Ha you're probably right. Out of those 4 players, only Bednarek really has a direct replacement available, and he's terrible.
-
Until a couple of games ago, they have looked dreadful. Admittedly Leicester were architects of their own downfall in that game but B'mouth did enough to get a draw against Man City, so they won't be the pushovers that they were a few games ago. Luckily we have Stephens and Bertrand completely rested, Romeu and KWP only played 45 mins on Thursday and Armstrong only came on late. I'd expect them all to come back in and Long to start too. Will it be too much for Ings, Redmond, JWP and Bednarek to play another full 90?
-
Agreed. In fact I've actually been quite impressed with Romeu's forward passing since the restart, which is probably more of a sign of how bad PEH is at it than how good Romeu is.
-
Funnily enough I thought exactly the same so I looked them up on Whoscored the other day and they were more similar than I thought. We all know though that PEH is a much poorer passer than JWP.
-
I just can’t see him going to city- he’s nowhere near reliable enough on the ball.
-
You're probably right. I'd be a little worried about his size as well- he did get out jumped by David Silva 😅. Generally he was great vs City and I'd be pleased if we signed him for a good price but we shouldn't break the bank.
-
“But, yes you never know when someone comes and pays us £100million for him. I don’t know what we do then and what he does then.” Yeah I guess we’d sell for £100million, Ralph!
-
Agreed, madness to not play Ings if he’s available.
