It was a sh*t game and pretty sh*t day, other than the beers and the company. The trains were all f*cked and got absolutely soaked.
That said, the reaction of some people on here is ridiculous. Get a grip- it’s one game ffs.
It was 21MPH, which, according to this article, would put him up there with the fastest players in the league:
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/talksport.com/football/524322/premier-leagues-fastest-players-quickest-pace-speed-acceleration/amp/
‘The 20-year-old, who has impressed in pre-season with his excellent range of passing and box-to-box energy from central midfield...’
The only game he’s featured in in preseason was the China game, which was essentially the U23s. Hasn’t even been in the squad for any of our actual first team games. Great journalism!
Thought so.
Also, I notice that Vestergaard interpreted the new ‘no offensive players within a metre of the wall’ by standing a metre directly in front of the wall for JWP’s free kick on Sunday. . Not sure that’s what FIFA had in mind.
From the couple of pre-season games I’ve seen, keepers have taken goal kicks literally 2-3 yards to a defender to play out. If anything o think this could make the press more effective when done properly.
There's a bit in here about it:
https://www.90min.com/posts/6384918-che-adams-5-things-to-know-about-the-everton-and-southampton-transfer-target
'Adams' pace, power and strength could suit sides that are set up to counter attack but also teams that are eager to press from the front and win the ball high up the pitch.'
Don’t think we can afford to lose him this season. Better off selling Targett and bringing in/through the academy someone to play second fiddle to Bertrand this season, with a view to taking over next season if he’s good enough.
