  1. Hahahaha unlucky Bournemouth. Good old VAR.
  2. Ha you're probably right. Out of those 4 players, only Bednarek really has a direct replacement available, and he's terrible.
  3. Until a couple of games ago, they have looked dreadful. Admittedly Leicester were architects of their own downfall in that game but B'mouth did enough to get a draw against Man City, so they won't be the pushovers that they were a few games ago. Luckily we have Stephens and Bertrand completely rested, Romeu and KWP only played 45 mins on Thursday and Armstrong only came on late. I'd expect them all to come back in and Long to start too. Will it be too much for Ings, Redmond, JWP and Bednarek to play another full 90?
  4. Agreed. In fact I've actually been quite impressed with Romeu's forward passing since the restart, which is probably more of a sign of how bad PEH is at it than how good Romeu is.
  5. Funnily enough I thought exactly the same so I looked them up on Whoscored the other day and they were more similar than I thought. We all know though that PEH is a much poorer passer than JWP.
  6. I just can’t see him going to city- he’s nowhere near reliable enough on the ball.
  7. You're probably right. I'd be a little worried about his size as well- he did get out jumped by David Silva 😅. Generally he was great vs City and I'd be pleased if we signed him for a good price but we shouldn't break the bank.
  8. “But, yes you never know when someone comes and pays us £100million for him. I don’t know what we do then and what he does then.” Yeah I guess we’d sell for £100million, Ralph!
  9. Agreed, madness to not play Ings if he’s available.
  10. He wasn’t really playing instead of PEH yesterday though, Romeu was. Smallbone was playing in Armstrong’s role.
  11. Funnily enough, I couldn’t disagree more with what you’ve said and I’m guessing we are never going to agree. I’m not saying inequality is the only factor obviously, but I am saying that it is the root of the vast majority of the issues.
  12. Wonder if Romeu might be a better replacement for PEH than Smallbone, considering how physical Watford are?
  13. I live in south London so I’m more than aware of the diverse communities. The whole ignoring skin colour thing is admirable in principle but it in turn ignores the fact that white people and people of colour are not on a level playing field. This racism may be subconscious but it’s discrimination nonetheless. I don’t think anyone is advocating ignoring the things you mention but these issues stem from inequality.
  14. What does ‘black community as a whole’ mean? Are there not differing levels of class, education, wealth etc within the black community? Your example obviously isn’t racist, nor would it be racist to suggest the same about black working class issues. The racist thing is the ‘community as a whole’. A person of colour could be extremely successful but still suffer discrimination because of their skin colour. Are they part of the problem?
  15. Yep, I’d say it’s a racist view.
  16. Jesus fucking Christ.
  17. Valery’s issue isn’t often that he is over confident, or lacks urgency, in defence. He needs to take a leaf out of Bednarek’s book- if there’s any danger, smash the ball into the stands for a throw. If he’d just be a bit more no-nonsense, with a bit of urgency, he’d cut out a lot of the needless mistakes imo.
  18. Yeah that’s my point- I meant it’ll be an advantage to us! I.e. Teams seems to be struggling with fitness since the break so we will have an advantage because they’ve played one more game.
  19. Looking at how slow and unfit a lot of the teams look at the moment, it’s got to be a massive advantage that this is Arsenal’s 3rd game back and only our 2nd.
  20. If Long is fit I’d definitely play him- he’ll cause their defence issues and gives us a target to aim for up top.
  21. Terrible start from Armstrong but he’s grown into it. Redmond has barely touched the ball but has looked good when he’s come on. Would like to see Boufal on at some point to find a bit of space between the lines.
  22. Where have they said that? Pretty sure it is starting the weekend of September 12th. I think August 8th was the original start date before the lockdown.

  24. Just read that the Begovic goal is also the longest distance record holder: ‘His goal - which was aided by the wind - was measured at 91.9m (301ft 6in).‘ So that’s the ‘goal conceded from the furthest distance’ record.
  25. Not a record (unless you’re talking just Premier League) but apparently SMS is the second ‘lowest’ ground in the country at about 1metre above sea level. Grimsby is the lowest.
