Exactly, the lack of ambition from Burley compared to the ambition we're showing now are about as far apart as you can get. I think when this was raised a while ago, someone said even if the Premier League clubs agreed to it, which they were always going to do, it still has to be accepted by the Football League. Not sure whether this would be the board or the Championship clubs but if this is correct perhaps it may still not be passed.

I don't think it's fair to put Wotton in with most of these players. He's not lazy, he's not a prima donna, he doesn't think he's bigger than the club. He may not be a very good player but at least he gives his all. It's not up to him whether he's picked in the team, Pardew puts him in there on merit.
