JPT Final - 28/03/10 - Travel Arrangements
for_heaven's_Saint replied to SO16_Saint's topic in The Saints
Since I live in London maybe I should rent out my flat for saints fans! -
Just been re-watching the highlights from Tuesday's game and noticed that after we score our 3rd goal, Thomas goes and taunts one of the MK dons defenders, who I'm pretty sure then tries to throw the ball at his head. Pretty funny http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/default.stm

I reckon I can take them.

It is a bit like making a war plan. We need to take the high ground, which shouldn't be hard since the train station is at the bottom of the hill. Maybe we could thousands of bouncy balls like that Sony advert?

Lol at the amount of deleted comments on that article. The banter's in full swing.

There better not be any bloody skates sat near me. Well apart from the 4000 in the away section.

IMO set pieces will be the key for us if we're going to score. As mentioned above, their defense is sh!t, and if we can get Hammond, Lambert, Thomas and Jaidi in the box and put in a decent ball, we'll have a good chance of at least getting a few shots on target. And of course we have the direct free-kicks from Lambert. When he hits them sweetly there's not a keeper in the world who can keep them out.

I say the only way to guarantee that we don't get our heads kicked in is to form a Saints Web Forum firm and outnumber the skates. Who's with me?
-
Surely rather than promoting the playoff final loser they would automatically promote the top 3 teams then 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th contest the playoffs?

I don't know if anyone saw 'Late Kick Off' on Monday, but they were discussing players all running over and getting involved after one of their team mates had been fouled. One of the pundits said something along the lines of 'there is no need for them to get involved', to which Graeme Murty replied 'I think your wrong there, if I've just been fouled I want all my team mates in there around me'. This second bit is exactly what Thomas does IMO, and what he did last night. He looks out for his fellow players and protects them. He might be a bit hot headed at times but he brings some passion and fight to the team that we otherwise lack, and ultimately unifies the team more than they would be if he wasn't playing.

Papa Waigo: he's always offside.

Was wandering the same thing ...

That boy was giving it the large one all game then left with about 15 minutes to go I think. That fat bold tw*t in the white hoody was exactly the same- giving it mouth then sneaking out at the end as far away from block 1 as he could!

Dan Seaborne's head = Monkey nut

Fonte, Puncheon, Otsemebore, Seaborne are all cup tied. Barnard isn't.

World Cup Trio set for Saints vs Pompey
for_heaven's_Saint replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Finally! A chance to see whether Waigo is really always offside or the league one linesman just can't keep up with him! This should settle that argument once and for all, if he plays. -
I believe QI dispelled this story as nonsense.

I think you have just summed up my existence in three concise and somewhat brutal sentences. :-k

I had one at the Dell too. And have also been to at least one at St Mary's (when I was about 11). For kids, especially those who are Saints fans, it's great! A chance to look round the stadium and even have a jog around the pitch, so I think your son and his mates would enjoy it. Can't say I was really old enough to be thinking about how good value for money it was though! One thing that did dissapoint me is that at the Dell, they used to have an indoor football room where you actually played a few 5/6 aside matches, where as at St Mary's it was just kicking a ball at a target thing. Still fun when you're young though!
