It seems to me that Pardew has basically worked out his system and told everyone exactly what their duty in the game is, which the players are doing brilliantly. Both Wotton and AP know that he isn't the best passer or dribbler of the ball but he's a gritty, strong midfielder ideal for playing just in front of the back four. In my opinion Wotton has shown not only brilliant ability to fit perfectly into a system but a great professionalism to cast all doubts about him aside and win back the fans.

Shame about their use of tenses.

Yeah I think it applies to Northam despite the fact that it's still open, not really sure why, guess it just saves the club some extra hassle.

That's a point actually and furthermore, in some league one grounds, sitting in the stand is surely not much further away than being in the dugout. Do the match officials have the power to stop the manager shouting from the stand? i doubt it.

Just read that Paul Ince has a touchline ban for 2 games, which will include the game against us at St Mary's. Got me thinking, do you think these bans have much of an effect on the team during the game? i.e how much influence can/does the manager have from the touchline?

Well since that's me stood right next to the video taker and banging the backboard maybe I should move back a few rows in the northam and take charge of drumming duties! I still have a blister on my hand from all that banging!

I think that most of the songs that get everyone joining in involve banging on the backboards, but it would definitely help if someone who could keep a steady tempo took control.

I think yesterdays line up and formation worked pretty well. The only two changes I'd make is Morgan for Wotton and Thomas for James.
