Looked a really strong, solid and experienced centreback and exactly what we have been missing in my opinion. One particular moment that stood out for me was towards the end of the first half when one of their strikers/midfielders turned him, yet he still managed to get a foot in and cut out what would have probably been a one on one with KD. I don't think Lancashire would have done this or one half the tackles and headers that he did today. He also showed a good degree of common sense in that he seemed to know when to header the ball down or pass to one of our players and when to get rid of it and clear the danger. Another thing we have arguably been lacking (think 1st goal against plymouth on boxing day, when Lancashire should have hoofed the ball out but instead gave it back to them to score.)
All in all I'd say 'Size' definitely mattered, and could well be vital to our survival.
