  1. Great memories doesn't automatically mean the title of legend is bestowed on the person giving those memories.
  2. Easy - Saint Keith he doesn't need them now he has upgraded to an Aston Martin. Yes really.
  3. Rattly? Not very original is it.
  4. I agree but not the standard approach with your fellow mod. Mr Arizona who infracted me for asking St Will what he would prescribe to help us deal with his nauseating posts. It appears Willy has proved that my public health warning did have some merit and Arizona didn't consider context or the location of such mild abuse as you DSM seem to have taken on board.
  5. Until now Nick? Well we can hope but if AP can deliver us back to the Premiership then it will be an added bonus to have the McMenemy monkey off our backs. It's been to long and AP certainly seems to be going about things in a very measured and professional way, certainly more than we have been use to in any of our past managers in my memory which basically takes us back to McMenemy.
  6. Barbara Bach - probably because it coincided with a young man's realisation as to why the 'Bond girl' was so important and discovering that secondary purpose a large bag of popcorn to spare your blushes in a family visit to the cinema. The Spy Who Loved Me - memorable and still my favourite bond film of all time.
  7. I fully understand and appreciate your views but you also need to put yourself in the mind of the individual who may be seriously (not simple attention seeking) contemplating taking their own life. It's true nothing is that bad to consider taking your own life but those are the thoughts of a sane and rational individual and if you get to point so dark and gloomy that you only have one out left, rational thought has been left behind. I strongly disagree that it is a selfish act, or in any event a deliberately selfish act. It's usually a consequence of a very serious and often treatement resistent illness. On the face of it selfish but that individual has already considered the impact on their loved ones and made a 'rationalised' decision that their pain and grief will still be worth it for them in the long run. Selfish or simply very ill and misguided? I appreciate your post is well intended but your conclusion IMO is very wrong in the majority of cases as you completely discount the issue of serious illness.
  8. I didn't take your advice but i did it give it careful consideration and in fact I couldn't even take my own. So for the time being I'll stick with what I have and keep saving and keep an eye out for a bargain. TBH I am a few thousand short of my ideal choice and I'm worried you've turned me into a badge snob JB!
  9. Wes history only closes an event when all the facts are known or at least dscussed in their entirety. Even this morning I walk up to be told the Battle of Bosworth actually took place somewhere else according to the experts! Frightening thought this goes on that long but by 'end game' I mean't or rather hoped that this issue is close to being discussed out but unfortunately probably only narrowing the divide.
  10. Unfortunately, it's cleansing properties only extend as far as the gut otherwise I would suggest you increase your intake.
  11. You need to see the consultant at Winchester Hospital. Great man, unfortunate name considering his field of expertise. I would replace your early morning beverage of choice with Cranberry Juice and increase the oat intake in your diet. Orange juice may not be the root cause of your IBS as any acidic drinks such as fizzy ones can have a detrimental effect as can caffiene based drinks such as tea /coffee. They are duretics and can cause damage to the bowel lining by stripping it of it's slimey coating so ensure you drink at least 2 ltrs of water a day and increase your oats without overdoing the fibre.
  12. Jimmy Young - I didn't care for his tone or the fact he used the same carpet fitters as Wogan and Forsyth. In fact Radio 2 is still a very nauseous station and needs to make up it's mind what it wants to be. Surely, Steve Wright's brand of jockery is well past it's sell by date and whispering Bob is to lary for Radio 3. As for Ken Bruce and Sara Kennedy and their ilk, how and why? come to mind. Doesn't mind numbing local radio cater for fan's of these 'shows'.
  13. Frank - please note a fine example of generic humour.
  14. Lot as in a person's destiny or condition as oppose to a number or large amount. Your stance is reasonable Frank until you decide to join the comedians and jump on the same stereotypical bandwagon as everyone else.
  15. Quite, still trying to work that comment out. If anything I was trying to make it a St Will thread. Classic example of a moderator (the only one IMO) deciding what he wants to see posted and unlike his colleagues believes that I am overdue a ban based on my post count and his opinion on the content of my posts. An infraction for irreverent drivel and bad attempts at humour - the ratio of 1 in 36 maybe a little high. It may all be over for some by the Orient game.
  16. Point is Arizona what you deem pointless others may deem interesting and therefore you should allow the threads to be self-moderated and act on the red triangle alerts. IMO I think you are the least impartial of all the moderators and that is an issue in terms of balance and fair play. The fact you suggest I would be banned 7 times over when until this evening i have not troubled the infraction police since last March speaks volumes. React to the post not the poster as someone shrewdly said on here recently.
  17. OK, I'll save it and reply to St Will's post directly the next time he insults me. It was hardly offensive given some of his posts to me and posts in general and his should have a health warning attached anyway. Is banter in the Muppet show now dead? Have you infracted Always SFC for his reply to my post. If so please rescind it as I took no offence at what was a fairly offensive post and I being a big boy can use the red triangle but rarely do unless it is seriously vindictive. But what do I know.... The best kind of moderation is self-moderation. Try it.
  18. That's unfortunate as it will be LM and LC's 7th miss allegedly and that must be catastrophic for such big fans. IMO that is one hell of a set of disappointing circumstances. Apart from that i think it's good to read people's opinions and if we only traded in discussing facts it would be a very very quiet board as 99% are unaware of the facts even as to why Papa can't stay on onside.
  19. FAO: Arizona - explain how I have done that and in the context of the other stuff posted on this thread?
  20. Do you stalk women as well?
  21. And what's wrong with a little human interest story from the chairman? Always use to have it as do other clubs. Crouch's was pure comedy fiction at times but always a must read so why not Mr Cortese? Not asking for a set of the monthly accounts. As it stands it's not worth the £3 and a squad sheet for the away team would do the job.
  22. MLT - if he had run around a bit more as if there was money on it then maybe he would have stayed fit enough for a couple of more seasons.
  23. Not really Nick IMO as Crouch loved empty rhetoric. Do you remember the investment promises? 3 months, 6 months. 9 months etc. The infamous we are financially secure and players dod not need to leave in January. Crouch's biggest asset was telling us what we wanted to hear and some unfortunately believed him.
  24. Not quite true Frank but better than your lot continually picking the splinters from your sphincter.
