No, no, no! - that's just more jealous scummah lies! I've been told many times that it was the Southampton Commercial Union of Men who after giving themselves that ridiculous title, broke some undated and unlisted but glorious pompey strike. Put that together with the genuine story of docks rivalry between Millwall and West Ham on the Thames and you have a portsmyth. Repeat it twice in a Portsea pub and it's officially a fact. Tomorrow, we explain how Marcus drove a tank for the SS several years before he was born and we then clarify how the administrations of portsmouth football club and Southampton Leisure Holdings were absolutely identical and the scummahs didn't pay their imaginary CVA and they don't own their ground.

not quite, the funniest bit was that he refused to recognise a downturn and instead continued to give it large about how great pompey were and how we were all jealous of their new billionaire owners, harbourdome etc - until his views became so bonkers that he frightened himself and legged it. Never in the history of forum threads have so many people been amused by so few - mainly one deluded bloke who dug himself a hole so big that Avram could have walked right in there and made a plucky speech. The classic Ho posts that are regularly dug out are as funny as the statue of Ted, and footage of Penny the diving wardrobe going off the topboard with the aerial grace of a vending machine in a swimsuit, combined.

What Doris has on the front of her red and white mobility scooter isn't the only basketcase in the pic... And I hope the quality of crowd-funded virtual fencing at the new training complex is better than that effort.

Connolly is an interesting one... He was overlooked for an idiot, who then demoted him, and when the idiot demonstrated he was as bad as Connolly had said, they appointed another idiot. Leaving the no.1 villain looking now like the one-eyed bloke in the land of the blind. He's the only quality player on their books and he's worked with good managers so he knows a loser when he sees one. He may be their only hope....though I suspect that he knows an idiot chairman when he sees one too and has probably voiced an opinion on the board. I don't like to kick them when they are down but has that PFA charge been lifted yet or do they still owe wages that they are pretending they've cleared? I just thought that while their freshly-dug grave is still open it might be nice to bury the debt-free claim in there too, along with fan-ownership and their rivalry. Because you have to look at the facts and say we are no longer their rivals, other than by an accident of geography. They've found their level and the only way it could resume is if we dropped to the third tier again. So it looks a little bit like more than a century of rivalry is over. Hey pompey, yeah, you down there, byeeeeeeeee!

The few are revolting. I've asked this several times over the 100,000 posts when their decline had hit new lows and I've normally been shouted down...is there anyone here who still thinks that they have not suffered or been punished yet? Aldershot Town - delivering the justice that the Football League and the court system bottled.

What a glorious night! WTFILN? Everyone!

Steady on Nutjobs! I am not worthy, it was FF who gave me life...he put the wind in my sails, he created the babbling brook in which I swim, he painted the clouds across the sky and allowed me to spread my wings, it was him that took me to a busy badger set and handed me an AK47, he drove me to Horton Heath and tucked a grubby tenner in my Y-fronts - I am but nothing without his vision and the opportunity he created.... All that, and the fact that he got a good tip off many moons ago and shared it with us. Come on you Shots!!!

Congratulations to everyone at the Fortress of Fat - recognition at last, it's World Toilet Day! And if that celebration isn't in association with their lovely ground then it would still be an apt day to get flushed to the bottom of the south coast by Aldershot. Space 1999? Currently I believe the space is approx 75 league positions.

Very rare. Just deleted my own proposed post for legal reasons. Don't worry, it was just the usual old bitter twaddle blended with facts and social comment.

Meanwhile in Tesco-related retail news, man in onesie refused service in pompey store. I should be able to wear whatever I want. I’m from Buckland – everyone wears their pyjamas to the shops... Really? If all goes to plan it shouldn't be long before they can hold sleepovers at their Fatpipes branch.
-
The last pompey legend to have a Thai wrapped around his neck was Avram - and just like Ray's daughter, he paid good money for it too.
-
Banked? Trousered in cash - spent - history! So it's business as usual, and the few will soon have their 40,000 seater state-of-the-art stadium*. *hard standing for a burger van.
-
The club can't be happy with Skybet trying to fleece their punters - that's their job.
-
Why would he want to leave a state of the art facility at one of the top clubs to go to a midtable club and work from a garden shed in a field? Looking at how their Champions' League qualification campaign is going I presume Spurs currently attempt recruitment using a dice, a coin, and a dartboard, so it might be an easier life...

Retweet **** and win a little prize for being naive and easily-led... Last time they got involved in this sort of caper they were voted the most active social media marketing reps for a utility company. Though I guess Robinson could do with this cash while he rethinks what to do with a chunk of wasteland that makes Flanders look like a bowling green. Are they still trading? It's very quiet.

It's early days so we have achieved little and I'm sure the bigger clubs like Spurs and Liverpool who are both showing genuine signs of recovery, will no doubt gently put us back in our place. Let's remember that they had quite a few new players and they need time to gel so you wouldn't expect much of them yet That said....11 points is a huge fricking gap to make up! But for the moment let's keep smug in the armoury - we might get the chance to display it in May next year.
-
Nice one. But in 12 years time plucky youngsters will be able to ask their great great grandparents about that amazing win at SMS that denied us promotion and kept them in the 2nd tier. If they have gained anything today it is confirmation of their new local rivals - until Eastleigh go up. That glorious European victory/draw against Milan seems a long time ago.
-
Tottenham - massive club.
-
Just heard a retail expert saying that there is no way Tesco will be building any big store on land already purchased, they seem to be turning to developing residential on a few sites instead. If that is the case then I guess they would need to perform a minor U-turn on planning. No doubt the council will dance like a little puppet when Tesco start tuning up.

My work here is done! Life is now imitating, well, itself. Sort of? I think. I'm confused.
-
Technically the shirts belong to the club because it was the club that had them off their suppliers and bankrupted them by not paying, so James should be charged with theft. This is clearly more money that belongs to the property developers. Something should be done to stop this villain making money out of pompey. Perhaps the fan shareholders should have a vote on it.
-
Ralph, you tell me which wall you want me to run through and I'm on it! I'll have him alongside me in a trench any day of the week, even if he can't say Premier. What a great tribute to the man who saved our club, and who we remember at every home game. We have come a long way, we are in good hands. Football is nice again.
-
Yes, it's worrying when an alleged intelligent footballer manages to lose £20M, good luck to the thick ones! I think he needs to sack his divorce lawyer. His articles were very good and always mentioned the charity that benefited from his fee. That glorious cup team of 08 are going to have a great reunion party in a few years! Did you ever get paid? No, you? Nope. Did you get hate mail? Yeah, and the worst thing was it was so badly written. Happy days... Yeah.

South Coast football. Southampton - 2nd in the Premier League, today unveil a new facility that will set the benchmark for European clubs, and they continue to produce players who grace the Champions' League. Bournemouth - a club record of consecutive wins, top of the Championship, their highest ever placing. Brighton - firmly established in the Championship with a modern ground. Reading - firmly established in the championship with a modern ground. portsmouth - firmly rooted in the 4th tier, and by deferring and reducing wages they have helped push their former England goalkeeper and cup hero into bankruptcy - today they are finishing off painting the fence at their hired training pitch.
-
by then they should be able to hold it in the new Tesco conference suite, presumably the footings are nearly finished and they'll be trading by Christmas...
