  1. Now the Telegraph has conceded that Brexit was a massive mistake and economists have explained how it has contributed to our current crisis, perhaps the game is up. While many will always stubbornly deny the facts, I suspect there are a few people out there with buyer's remorse.
  2. There were players in their back four who couldn't trap a bag of cement - so for me that was not a great point against a good West Ham side.
  3. It was obvious that she would be shambolic and there would be laughs aplenty, but she's finding new levels of stupidity. What the fuck were the membership thinking? That press conference today was insane. She literally repeated the same hollow slogans for every question - and none of it was relevant to what was asked.
  4. As he appeared to be our best signing of recent years, Shields deciding to abandon ship so soon must raise some worrying questions about the whole project. For me, his departure would set off the few remaining alarm bells that aren't already ringing. Who is steering the ship and why are we so far off course right now?
  5. We've turned two corners - and gone backwards.
  6. Of all the problems we have to address at the moment I would suggest that the keeper is a long way from the top of that list. I think he's doing alright for someone being asked to perform behind a shitshow.
  7. The usual big club biased MotD coverage! Hardly showed anything of us attacking, even the analysis was all about them, no mention at all of that throw-in we won in the second half. 😡
  8. I'm staggered, she looked such a good candidate. The membership have done a top job, they should definitely be trusted with all big decisions.
  9. Just made the mistake of asking a local shopkeeper how it's going... The brief version was - energy bills have tripled overnight, leaving an unsustainable business model. Are the already battered UK high streets about to empty? This doesn't look like growth.
  10. The real winners this week appear to be M People. No one bothered to ask permission to use the song, no one checked the lyrics, no one checked out the left wing views of the song writer, no one realised the singer is an anti-government activist and no one clocked that her son is a Labour councillor. It was an epic own goal that just distracts from any positives Truss was trying to conjure up - and the song isn't that great either. 0/10 for attention to detail.
  11. Truss seems to be suggesting that she and her chancellor are the only ones who wants the UK to have growth, growth, growth. The enemy, enemy, enemy, is made up of Boris and Rishi, Labour, Lib Dems, Greens, anyone Scottish, Greenpeace - all these people are traitors who want the country to stagnate.....apparently. 🤡 As a plan it's nuts, as a PR message it's pathetic - she seems to be taking the advise of lunatics.
  12. She can't even read stuff out loud - currently banging through a greatest hits medley about scroungers, foreigners and how we lead the world in everything. She's only making it interesting by fucking up the pauses for applause.
  13. It's a good day to quietly slip through that you've appointed Jacob Rees Mogg's hedgefund business partner to a senior government role, and chucked in a free peerage for him too. Seems fair and reasonable compared with the rest of the blatant corruption sloshing around this government's ankles. The minister for slavery even took a long drawn out detour route to conference via protesters, presumably to see if he could generate some distraction sympathy PR. It didn't work.
  14. Tell us about your matchday experience... Really?...
  15. When did they get Brexit over the line? That's just another of those half-finished, oven-ready projects that Boris kept promising but failed to complete.
  16. This morning she's been trying out some new experimental material at small regional gigs, it's been like Kate Bush, but madder. Awkward silences, scripted nonsense, baffling explanations, plain made-up shit, and more pauses. The last time we saw this many car crashes in such a small space of time was when World of Sport brought us a demolition derby double bill from Ipswich. We're gonna need more popcorn.
  17. Children hiding in the playground during the lunch break because their working parents earn more than £150 a week so they don't qualify for free school meals. Other kids pretending to eat out of empty lunchboxes because they're embarrassed that they have no food. As a country, what the fuck have we become?
  18. When you have hedge fund mates playing the market and shorting the pound benefits you personally, the Chancellor is playing a blinder. He and Jacob Rees Mogg must be very happy this morning.
  19. Scoring 300 in the 2nd innings makes it even worse - to chuck away the whole season in that one mad hour is criminal. Let's remember 2022 for the T20 instead.
  20. The Villa game did remind me of Puelball, and not in a nice way. No forward momentum, no threat, no point, no fun to watch. I can take the odd 3-2 defeat if it's entertaining, but that run of 0-0 Claude draws and 1-0 gutless defeats was great for defensive coaches and bloody terrible for everyone else. For me, Ralph hasn't become consistently that dull yet, but he clearly needs to demonstrate progress and deliver points in the next couple of games.
  21. We hold all the cards, it'll be the easiest deal in history... And If you're still defending all the drivel that you were spoon-fed in return for your vote, you should never be allowed near a polling station again.
  22. Pellegrino is one of the worst cases in history of a manager being given too long - he was too nice to be sacked and he should have gone much earlier. Whenever clubs in trouble talk about giving someone more time, there is a limit. A big win in the next match and we'll assume everything is cool again - in reality Ralph probably needs to string eight or ten good games together to convince anyone.
  23. Turning a blind eye to corruption, repeating pub rumours as facts, occupying two parking spaces with one car, training cats to shit in neighbours' gardens...the UK leads the world in many things.
  24. Indeed, I'm sure there's no way that this government will allow rich people to get richer before they address helping those in poverty, remember how those PPE contracts were all given to poorer towns with established companies. Even the energy support is very-much geared to help the less well-off, this is a caring cabinet that focusses on levelling up - multi-millionaires had better watch out!
  25. I'm sure you're aware of ownership laws and your responsibility to politely return it to the owners of the cat? If you don't know which one it was, anyone who owns a cat nearby qualifies, if they don't have a letterbox, where they walk by their car is good.
