  1. Johnson Hill is no place to make a last stand, you might valiantly fight off five or six scandals but you'll inevitably die there and be buried alongside your street cred.
  2. Dorries is a great example for anyone who still believes that the UK media is balanced. Had Diane Abbott made anywhere near the number of mistakes that Dorries has, she'd be on the front page every day. Ditto the current news blackout on sex in the foreign office. Had Corbyn or Starmer been caught cheating on a partner who was being treated for cancer, by having sex in the office and trying to get the fancy bit in question a £100k a year job on the back of it, do you think perhaps the papers might give it more than the current coverage of Johnson's corrupt car crash of a lifestyle? Wake up readers of The Sun, Mail, Express etc, you're just buying a press release.
  3. My final memory of Long was in the last minute of the vital win against Arsenal - he gave everything and chased down their keeper to block a clearance which would have seen the ball in our half in injury time. At a time of the season when Broja and several others had downed tools, Shane showed that even if you are short of world-class talent, giving 100% makes a difference. He ran, he chased, he hassled, he fell over, and occasionally he scored - cheers Shane, all the best.
  4. As long as his deputy chief whip doesn't join the government's ever growing sexual predator team and has to resign, Boris will be fine. Even when the other parties try to do scandal they just can't compete. Chuck in the PM's fancy bit and their antics in his office and it's like 1970s Soho - Confessions of an Eton Twat. We can't carry on like this, it's ridiculous.
  5. Indeed, as he tried to suggest in the commons, the opposition would have supported Russia... About the same time that he said he was the first one to support Ukraine, when he wasn't. Do we really believe that the UK could only support this cause with him at the helm? I think any British PM would have done this, and probably more. Boris the plucky war leader is just another cartoon PR soundbite - filed along with big decisions right, leading the world, bonfire of red tape, arms around business, rolled-out the vaccine, unprecedented, global Britain etc, yawn, etc.
  6. When did it become acceptable for big companies to keep you on hold for over an hour? Imagine going to a shop and being told to stand outside until they decide you can come in? And the music, it sounded like Sooty on acid playing some sort of experimental jazz funk on his organ, looped over a hundred times.
  7. Why the fuck do the greedy, woke, NHS, leftie, vaccine-delivering traitors want decent wages? The whole cabinet clapped them on the doorstep once a week for a bit, wasn't that enough?
  8. Yeah, and the overwhelming majority are not, as I said.
  9. I've never been convinced by the idea of buying players from clubs that have just proved that they weren't good enough - for every jewel there must be 50 Championship players who will get relegated again. Searching through bins for a tasty snack is a slightly flawed approach.
  10. Lazy woke leftie snowflake pinko lawyers promoting the so-called law and wanting to be paid - if they had their way all foreign-looking criminals would be pardoned and given the houses of our evicted war heroes! 😡 I think we've heard enough from these experts, the militant traitors need putting in their place, we have a perfectly good system where Braverman is clearly in control and hasn't been overpromoted as a yes-woman, she advises the government really accurately, and definitely shouldn't be restricted to assisting a proper solicitor by passing them the office stapler when they ask her.
  11. Of all the Ukraines, that one's my fave, so I give it a grand title!...
  12. Mmmmm, there's not much floating going on there... Anyway, Boris has gone to the Ukraine again, and I didn't even realise there was another impending no.10 crisis to be distracted from. My money's on Truss going nuts and biting someone in a pub.
  13. He could have been a Saints legend, but chose to go and win things at a bigger club instead. While I admire his talents and his ambition, and thank him for what he did for us, that career move was fucking dreadful and should haunt him forever.
  14. When your freezer dies and you have to eat the entire contents in 24 hours - washed down with ice cream juice.
  15. I refer you to the earlier depressing point about the media. If you can make up stuff that is never properly challenged or corrected, that is sufficient to fool enough voters to win elections. The current policy is to boldly announce that we lead the world in everything - say it enough times and it becomes true, anyone who denies it is talking Britain down and will be branded by the Sun, the Mail and the Express as a UK-hating terrorist-sympathiser or a traitor. Fact-free area, job done - no policy ideas required, welcome to Politics 2022.
  16. Forget policy, forget plans for the economy, schools, police, NHS - the only thing you need to do is get in bed with the media giants who control the message to the voters who can't be arsed to get informed. Just convince the The 4th Viscount Rothermere and Murdoch etc that your government will serve their aims, as every PM has since the 90s, and the election is all but delivered to you on a plate. Sad but true.
  17. I'm sure if you paddled around Kent in a dinghy they'd find you a flight, though you might need to black-up to tick all Home Office boxes.
  18. I love the TT, but in the background, this year has been horrendous, and you do look at it and wonder how bad it has to get before changes are discussed. The speeds are insane - but it's such a unique event that the course can't alter so the only thing you could do then is control the machinery, but you could send people out on mopeds and they'd still push beyond the limit. As it says on the signs, motorsport is dangerous - sadly, I'm not sure there's an answer to this one, you just hope it's an unlucky year.
  19. Kevin Friend playing for Liverpool is one of the worst performances I've witnessed - and it altered the table at the end of the season.
  20. Zero thought and planning has gone into this, it's just an old failed idea rehashed and dressed up in a cheap headline to try and distract from the chaos. The good news is that a few more people have this week wised up and see this dead cat for what it is.
  21. When Dido Harding's husband decides even they can no longer take money from this government and he jacks in his role because he thinks the PM should resign, that's like Gary Glitter saying you're too noncey for his liking. The game is up - HMS Boris is fucked, it's just a matter of how long before it sinks, and how many fuckwits are still on the decks parroting excuses as they all slip beneath the waves. Big decisions right, glug, glug, leading the world, glug, glug, vaccine rollout, glug, glug....glug....
  22. Nah, I'm still not seeing a guy who lost even an hour of sleep over depriving the most vulnerable when they were desperate for help. I see a ruthlessly ambitious multi-millionaire who wouldn't think twice about murdering his own granny if it would get him into no.10, and who has parroted some of the maddest shit in defence of the fucking over the NHS. Hunt by name...
  23. This whole not being in the EU seems to have come as a surprise to a few of those travellers - I'm sure most media outlets have at least touched upon Brexit in passing. But having voted to lose privileges and make travel more difficult, the thicker ones seem surprised that they've lost privileges and that travel is more difficult.
  24. This specific issue is not about a race - this is about honesty, integrity and the ability to do a job. If MPs are really concerned about the report findings, delaying until a decent candidate emerges is not a factor - change is needed now, for country and party. Some MPs care about honesty, the rest need to do a better job of pretending they do. Delaying change for selfish reasons is so Boris it would demonstrate that nothing has changed.
  25. Dr Shipman is doing a really bad job but it will take ages to find a decent replacement GP, so the only logical course of action is to let him continue. Said no one.
