  1. Platt is also best mates with Stuart Gray if you fancy a bit of useless info
  2. This obviously happened
  3. Stoke away and utd away are nice Norwich and liverpool away are horrific
  4. We went over the, another chairman arguement earlier, obviously (and wisely considering your position here) you ignored it. As far as being threatened ? No, I think you are confusing that with the fact we are rather surprised by your level of idiocy and that you seemingly put success on the pitch lower down the priority list than stoking the ego's of ex players and some nice lights in the hospitality suites.
  5. Credit where credit is due Alps, I couldnt have put this summary better myself. The water becomes muddied when we look at if it were Cortese and no cash but, IMHO I reckon he could probably make a better hash of it then most, and like Alps says further down the thread, there are plenty of CEO's that have made a mockery of hundreds of millions.
  6. Meh, striking options at under 21 level is a bit short, I imagine he wants to use Wickham for his height with wide pace players. McEchran, had a v big name for himself in youth football but has done naff all since, other than those picked, what are the options here ?
  7. POTS - I expect the fans voted for Lambert but I would suggest it should be Morgs PPOTS - Cork or Morgs Young player - Shaw GOTS - punch vs Chelsea
  8. Might have something to do with the fact he has catapulted us into the prem, installed a decent management team, infrastructure and decent players, made sure if we are made to sell that it wont be cheap. He has made some PR gaffes, some misdemeanors, but in the whole most of the footballing fans on here can see the good he brings from his primary role. But then I suppose you obviously have some strange agenda to push, I mean jesus even Dunc who for his own reasons isnt Cortese's biggest fan realises that we are better with him then without. I would suggest those that want him out have an agenda or are connected to those that have an agenda.
  9. You have to take the dandrough with the smooth
  10. I basically agree, as I agree with Kev, Fonte will do as backup (though their is also Forren) but Jos has made far too many mistakes this year.
  11. I actually think if you put Yoshi next to someone dominant and not prone to mistakes then we would be pretty solid.
  12. I think its Hypo celebrating the end of Don Cortese
  13. Pretty much what I was thinking but then we have Sturridge and Welbeck who are both young, J Rod if he keeps getting better maybe, Rooney if he ever decides to start playing properly again. But looking at the under 21's as a whole it looks good for the future
  14. Neither does Dune.....
  15. Well done Clyne and Shaw. The squad actually looks quite strong TBF http://www.thefa.com/england/mens-under-21s/News/2013/euro-2013-squad-announcement
  16. I know a few cable jointers that excel at cable jointing and fault locating, they arent very good with customers or putting ribbish away. It doesnt make them average cable jointers, as that is their primary role. They could be even better though. Not difficult to understand is it ?
  17. Pretty much this Bats, as I said before and as Colin has said, the other values are important but for a fan of a football club not nearly as important as those values he has shown to achieve what he has. He has, from a footballing sense brought a renaisance to the club. When all that upheaval is sorted I think he will focus on the other side of the business but for me that business is useless if it lies in league 1
  18. None of that means anything without a couple of hangers on in the hospitality suites
  19. I agree FWIW that I would like Saints Fc to be a more family oriented and welcoming all round entity, however I would much rather have a successful football club, playing decent football in the PL. We have that, I can get a match ticket at around average prices, food is available (never really eaten in the stadium) everything else is much of a muchness. The fact is he may be using anothers cash but he still had to deliver and has done that under the target date that he put down, as has been said before, many clubs have tried to spend a lot and failed. He has appointed 3 good managers, overseen many agood player, young, hungry and fitting the system, he hasnt suffered fools (pardew). I find any critiscm from a sporting sense hard to swallow TBH without some sort of agenda pushing.
  20. We ignoring the money he has put into infrastructure ? Into the scouting network and medics/sport science department ? The work I KNOW is going on behind the scenes to improve the way we operate as a club in a footballing sense ? All of those are more meaningful to me as a football supporter first and foremost, youget that bit right then we can look upon other areas of the club. Of tgat 20m on players the only one I personally see as afailure is Mayuka aswell. You can rewrite history but we are not f*cking HMV, I dont look at Utd and say wow, look at their anazing hospitallity and free parking. I look st their success as a club. We all laughed at Lowes branded dreams of the saint radio station and world class catering, the man could not achieve success on the field and that was his downfall. I really do get bemused at times to what is more important to the fans, I assume the football club as a sporting entity is just a secondary distraction to you then tim ? As you seem to have a higher affiliation to the intricate runnings of the behind the scenes and mundane.
  21. Did you really need to pick him up on that MLG ? We all know what he meant.
  22. We really dont know what a new CEO would have achieved Tim, any of that is just conjecture, we also dont know if a new CEO would have had more or less contacts in the footballing world, a view that the academy and youth is the way forward or even that the Ox was worth fighting for. Its opinions like anyone elses, Im certainly not going to say your wrong, thats up to you. What I will say is that I am willing to forgive his misdemeanors as he has set out and delivered what he promised, and for me that is what any manager at any level should be judged on, especially that of a CEO
  23. Either way, it was a public vote, you are posting your opinions on a public forum which means you either have to stand by what you say or not at all, especially if you actually want people to listen to your opinion in the future. Whether it was posted or not people woukd have had a look, there are a few names on that list that surprise me TBH but there we go. Unless I was on a wind up I wouldnt post anything on here that I wouldnt stand by, or be prepared to admit I was wrong about if something turned out that way.
  24. You didnt see the bit at the top that said it was a public vote then ?! Besides, its your opinion stick with it, would you have voted differently if you'd actually been able to read ? Man up you tit
