Thoughts ?? IMO Adkins has more about him, he perhaps does not talk as good a game as Pardew did however has never had whispers about him in quiet corners either. Also the main difference for me was that for all the good Pardew brings to football clubs he has been a serial underachiever, mainly getting teams to fail at the final hurdle. IMO Adkins won't let us crumble in the crunch time of this season, and IMO we will achieve good things under him as when we move up into the NPC we should be able to play the football he wants due to less teams sitting back and less grounds being more like the veracity then a football pitch.

So long as Lampard is a mile away from the England midfield we will be fine, so so very overated. And in a little way I agree with Hypo (shudder), not in his assessment of Rooney and Gerrard who are both definately world class players, but in respect to playing for England. What we have seen over the years is a reliance on players, and unfortunately that means they will underperform and get away with it which is a sin. IMO Capello should be looking for teams like the one he sent out last night, both young and hungry. Whats the point on playing players who will be too old for the next world cup ?? Ok have a few around that have heart and desire, perhaps the likes of Terry and Gerrard but dump the old duffers that don't give a sh*t, a la Lampard. We need to give our youngsters experience. Its no coincidence that the lack of proaction and blooding young players by the FA and the worries of most of us over the lack of young english talent go hand in hand.

Welcome back Deppo. Yeah I heard that, surprising. TBH i don't think the level of blame should be soley at Capello's door. The FA and the premier league need to take a massive portion of that blame and the fact that we never completed the Burton football academy was an utter disaster

What a crock of crap. How have we seen that he cannot attract players of the right calibre into the team ? For a start he has convinced Chambo, Lallana and possibly Martin to stay when they could/did have better offers elsewhere. How can you say he is not good enough to get us promoted when his record so far has seen to be easily good enough if it wasn't for the disaster that was pardew at the beginning of the season ? (sorry to slag off your hero) How can you say he won't play better in the league above ? When we are playing well enough in this league and if anything the NPC is more of a footballing league (less sh*tty pitches and less teams that won't play) You really do make me laugh, you have such an utter hatred of Adkins ? Whats the matter did a physio run off with your wife ?

I am cofident that we will get at the very least 21 out of our remaining 30 points. IMO that would take us out of this poxy embarassing league.

I am confident we will get 6 points from Orient and Charlton at home. Adkins has got the team grinding results out and we are beginning to play the football he wants us to play and mix it up when we need to. The problem is our style doesn't hold itself very well on crappy pitches and teams that hold back and play defensively. I do however have full faith that we are going to get out of this league. Just a shame we had such p*ss poor preperation from Pardew and a disasterous start what with Liebherrs death (rip) and the Wilkins wobble.

15-25k is ridiculous at League 1 table and would probably cause dressing room undress and for what ?? He is not a million miles better than what we have, the fact he supports the saints does not make him a better player.
