I'll play

Its not a one way thing, and as much as I would love it to happen I am not sure it is the clubs main issue. It would have to be the legends that need to extend the olive branch.

This I love the sash, i hope we keep it tbh

never miss the chance for a dig do you ? Sad little man

Wood pigeon, bloody lovely. With a little spun sugar and horseradish.

Should we be at all concerned about Nigel Adkins leaving?

I heard a rumour the other day, all be it from a completely unrelated source that I neither trust nor distrust that he is having family problems down here. Apparantly his wife doesn't want to move down here and he has been commuting and living away from his family. This is probably crap, just wondered if anyone else had heard ? -
Is Cortese deliberately trying to annoy the fans.
Smirking_Saint replied to landford.saint's topic in The Saints
The problem with the whole Pardew situation was that it seems Cortese didn't have much of a choice. But then there are too many people on here and definately on the Ugly that want sticks to beat Don Cortese with. -
Yes he does TBF It is a genuine account. I think we will be ok come summer, enemies or no enemies money talks in football, not sentiments.

Overratted and egotistical. No thanks.

That he is a bit of a nob ?

Conglomerate of amusing Brighton threads...
Smirking_Saint replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Saints
I am starting to really dislike them, earlier in the week (before yesterday) I considered popping on and congratulating them on their season but their chip is getting so massive on thier shoulders these days. Poyet is clearly a great manager, but IMO as big a c*ck as Adkins has been and as for their fans I mean WTF ?? They have one decent season and now they are a massive club with a massive future and all of a sudden we are scared because they are a massive team. Strange, strange people down in Brighton and so delightfully tin pot. -
Personally I think we should give them a guard of honour, they have had a decent season and have deserved to win the league. It would be nice however if afterwards we smash them 3-4 nil (probably won't happen but you never know with saints). I have no hatred of Brighton, in fact I am quietly chuffed they have been promoted, they will be insignificant again soon enough.

I'd go to the year 3000. I'd probably find that not much has changed but we live underwater, which in itself would mean a lot had changed really. I'd also find that your great great great granddaughter is pretty fine.......if i fancied a 400 yr old. Oh, and saints have made the league 1 playoffs btw.

Back to playing on the 11th Then I may make an appearance.

I'd ask Alpines doctor to pop round his gaff with some prozac. Sorry Alps, no offence intended

I don't think I have said it on this thread but I still want the sash.

I would. -
I'd go and explain to Adkins that the diamond just doesn't work.

I thought it was pretty good, but have been looking forward to it for a long time now.

(not a personal attack before you jump on it) Puncheon is rated by many people on here whose footballing opinions I often agree with and respect. He is a good winger, direct, creative and reads the game well. Early in the season we had such poor movement infront of us there was little he could do, often moving up the wing and then having no real options infront of him. He also doesn't play well as an inside forward, Lallana does, but he doesn't, some wingers do and some don't. IMHO Puncheon will go on and play at a higher level than Antonio does, I honestly see Antonio perhaps forging a career at league one or lower championship level. But no more, he is just too inconsistant and technically not good enough. Puncheon however will probably end up as a solid Champ player. And yes, rating a player is more than just looking at stats, which is why I tend to go on observation, you are however are obviously a 'stat man' which is why i find it strange that you are argueing against them, Guly is a good player, occasionally looks lost but then he is not a wide midfielder and not really a striker !! Nevertheless he puts in a great shift, is possibly one of the most technical players in the league and has scored some very vital goals. Personally I like him and what he brings to the team which is creating space and chances.

Yeah I went to the JPT, I also saw him quite a few times in the season aswell, I agree he had a half decent JPT final by all accounts but one swallow doesn't make a relationship and I would argue he was far from consistant through the season. Now talking of Puncheon, this is no doubt the jason puncheon that is quite regularly getting games for a premier league side and who has also made such an impression on Championship Millwall that they were clamouring to have him back ? Also, regarding your criticism of our opinion I would argue that with all respect how were we suposed to know that he was going to turn into a class A bellend ?? Perhaps that was something you identified with before and so fair play for getting your obviosly qualified opinion in so very soon. I still struggle to see how you are defending your arguement considering the stats that have been put in front of you, considering of course that you are a stat man ? But then perhaps that is why you have changed your line of questioning and are now going down the character assassination route, I don't know.
