You have half a point but we are now out of our big holliganist era and it is pretty much under control these days. Russia is a different kettle of fish and are still a long way behind us as a nation it terms of racism and xenophobic attitudes. They still throw bananas and make monkey noises at black players FFS

This is precisely the reason that we didn't win it, and it because we think we are OWED it not deserved but OWED. We the English are so arrogant, the media has been saying for a long time that we are the only real choice and anything less would be a farce. We were not owed the world cup, Russia winning it doesn't really hit me with any real 'scandal' thoughts, Qatar winning it however is a completely different matter and stinks of back handers etc.

That 1/2 a degree then ??
-
Turned out to be one yeah, nearly had to go out.
-
Isn't Qatar about 100 million degrees (ish) in the summer months ??

Only fair, i kept your AIDs And i am not Crouchie

If Plymouth go bust etc etc Do we then become the next realistic south coast stadium for the world cup ?

If we lose in the bid when is the next time we can bid ??

El-Abd's Injury from the Brighton Game - Not for Faint Hearted!
Smirking_Saint replied to LGTL's topic in The Saints
Not really crap, blades have been criticised for a long time by managers etc in regards to the damage they can inflict upon not only the wearer but also any opposing players that can ge caught by jagged edges. Studs simply do not become as jagged and sharp as blades can become. Whats more i have no doubt that the amount of injuries to knees and ankles recently has risen because of the prominence of blades at grass roots and at professional levels, in fact a lot of clubs these days (professional) have banned the use of blades by their players. I have no doubt that blades caused myself to pick up the knee injuries i have and the other people i know who have done similar (ACL tear) and other knee/ankle injuries have said the same. To put it simply, blades give you tremendous grip and friction between yourself and the ground, this is not always a good thing however in respect that there are times (cutting and twisting) that you really want your feet to be able to release from the ground. -

As above Blades should be banned and are as bad on the user as against other players. IMO the reason i have had 2 destroyed cruciates -
You have out pedanted the pedant. MLG won't be happy.

Its pretty rediculous really that they had this situation last year, we all knew this was coming about a week ago and apparantly the council had purchased more materials in order to help clear the snow however they have stilled failed to get the roads clear and get it sorted. Useless. Also it could be a good thing for Saints to have a week or so off to let those little niggly injuries calm down abit.

I think it has been made from a map produced during the war by the fire wardens who logged where bombs fell and have attempted to mark where bombs fell and didn't go off. It is available to any project managers of big sites that ask for it and helps them ascertain whether they are going to uncover a bomb and whether or not to dig carefully etc. I saw one that they had in the Kier site in town (new police HQ) really interesting and actually had what looked like the bombing runs of the raids. Pretty interesting stuff.
