Don't get me wrong, i am not anti pardew mate, i am not negative, today was pre-season, just a fitness and form exercise. I am however able to look at things objectively and speak what is my opinion, if that makes me an anti-pardew mong then so be it. I just don't get caught up with the wrist slitters or the happy clappies.

He is not a sh*te manager and TBH i think Wotte's mum would have little excuse not to get us promoted this year. AP is not as godly as everyone thinks however, ATM we play pretty one dimensional and he doesn't seem able to change it from a long ball game, even though we seem to have the players to actually PLAY football.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6276317,00.html Would be a good signing at this level. (jon stead) -
Only if Hardcore, whats your online name ?? Staff_saints ?
-
True, but he was involved in the club, we...........as a club deserved it, the same as any club that goes into admin deserves -10, as for Lowe, his ego was too big and he thought he would get away with it.... the tw*t

More importantly, does he know Skacel ?? Can he speed up negotiations ?

That IMO is the sort of signing we should be looking at for our 4th striker, not automatically him but a young up and coming player that may wish to progress his career at an upwardly mobile club (hopefully) we have a good set up, money, stability and a sound future ATM in that respect i would imagine we would be a good side for youngsters such as him to learn his trade. -
Fair point, i would concede that, Puncheon may sting you next season mind, he does f*ck all and then pops up from nowhere, Jaidi is a monster at the back, Davis is one of the best shot stoppers i have seen in the last 3 years easily, but that first season he was with us was embarassing. Dickson may end up being a real star, Hammond works f*cking hard but i don't think technically he is all that, breaks the play up well though. Wotton..........well........ he is a footballing god.
-
Dickson is unknown in my eyes ATM but comes highly rated, so i will just have to wait and see. I would have Puncheon over your wide men excluding Tudgay, he was 2nd highest assisting at the club last season after half a season and can turn a game at times. Barnard is a hard working little b*stard and has a good eye for goal, he scored 20+ last season with many coming from a club that created very little. I would rather Barnard than any of your strikers excluding and on form Morrison.
-
I would love to see Austin in a Saints shirt. But then again, Beattie had about 1 good season when paired with the industrious BO and everyone creams their pants over him.
-
Looks better than i thought TBF, that said, harding is fantastic at this level.
-
how much do you know about players and potential signings?
Smirking_Saint replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Plus i read a little while back that a few top clubs actually half use FM ratings as an estimate because they are formulated by researchers that watch the said players week in week out. -
Who ?? Puncheon, Richardson who were in team of the year ? Barnard who was one of the top scorers ? Dickson who as wanted by championship teams and comes highly rated ? Or Fonte ? I don't even need to comment on his pure class.
-
I don't think he is much all that TBF, never really cut it at Liverpool and never set the world alight at Preston, he will probably be a good player at this level however, but nothing i would write home about, i am confident Lambert and Barnard with connolly on the bench is a better threat than Mellor and Morrison (who may or may not find form). As for Heffernan i have never heard of him, unless he is related to Doug from Queens. I quickly looked him up and he is a somewhat uninspiring signing.
-
Hmm, i don't know, i would much prefer a flying attacking left back, Spurr is solid but will not add as much going forward, harding was Immense last year as well but big things are expected from Dickson this year. I concede though i have not seen his quality yet and so i will swap it for a straight fight between Harding and Spurr, Harding is solid however, and good going forward.
-
Huddersfield should do well but for some reaason i have a feeling they will stutter a little bit, Peterborough will do well unless they lose Boyd and/or Mclean. Swindon really need to replace their top goalscorer from last year and hope Austin doesn't suffer from second season syndrome.
-
Davis/Grant Richardson Fonte Beevers/Jaidi Dickson/harding Tudgay Schniederlin Hammond/Miller Lallana Lambert Morrison That would be my team made up of the two teams, i see those in bold as pretty much of the same level as their competition however have included them over the others purely on age. But that would be how i would line them up, i think Morrison would be a decent player at this level if he plays well, Tudgay is quality TBF but he did well to oust a high in assists puncheon.
-
I would argue that a team mad up of the two sides would have the majority of Saints players in it, but then i am a saints fan !!
-
True, but you have a few weakish links. Our Spine is better (Fonte, Schniederlin, Lambert) plus we have 3 fantastic full backs for this level, a keeper that was wanted by a premiership team and a 20 goal midfielder in Lallana. Our weakest player is probably Hammond, who CDAJFY if he was in your squad. Morrisson is a good free signing if he finds form in this league, Tudgay is a player that i admire, and probably the only player i would LOVE us to take off of your hands. Beevers and Miller would probably just improve the saints team but to be honest i woulnd't be creaming in my pants, they are pretty much on the same level as Jaidi and Hammond. I am also confident there are more signings for us to come.

I think that an aweful lot has to be put upon the parents and the authorities around him that did fail him, that is unquestionable. Unfortunately i also think that some people are just destined to be evil, JV was one of those people. I cannot understand the people that advocate that the kids had no realisation of right and wrong as it was not instilled in them from the parents, that is just complete bullsh*t. Every kid understands right and wrong no matter whether it is 'taught' or not, that is why you know a kid is up to something as before they commit something that is considered wrong they will always look around to see if any adults are watching and if they catch an adult watching will look at them for a few seconds as if to see what they are going to do or say. What IS taught to most kids is the ability to act on the instinct of commiting to something that is wrong and to avoid doing it. Unfortunately you get two camps of these kind of kids, those that are able to get away with what they want, and those that will do it anyways, JV was always in the latter group and with all the money being needed to prop up the economy at the moment anyone who is convicted beyond all reasonable doubt of peadophilia, murder or rape and especially murder that was torturous should be put to death and forgotten about.

don't get me wrong we deserved what we got !!

Ours was not due to tax, infact i believe our tax was fully up to date. We went into admin because the bank withdrew our overdraft facility and the speculation is this was because they could only see our income lessening due to Lowes influence. Not being a WUM or anything but i really don't think you guys should be being so blase about all of this, admin is not a good place to be and from what i remember recently any club that has had a WUP issued against them has hit sh*t creek pretty quickly.
