I thought Waigo was pretty good and under-utilised when he was here TBF, and you can't really say he should have got more goals as he played mostly on the right. Most talented player we ever let go ?? Dunno about that one but IMO he was better than Turk's assessment and probably not as good as cliffords. I heard a rumour however that Waigo just didn't want to be here and didn't like pardew so if true that answers the not staying arguement. As for Shearer, he was quality but at the time wasn't it the record transfer fee for a short while ? So was hardly let go.

We don't need a quick striker we need a target man as backup to rickie IMO and also another midfielder. Hopefully they will be sorted soon. Also Pardew needs to go on a course and learn to be more decisive, he seems a fantastic proactive manager who plans and buys well however i worry about his reactiveness and the lack of changes he makes IMO. Same faults as Sven had.

Nice, happy with that, hopefully he will turn into just the player we need and a low risk transfer too, luverly. 4-5-1 please, drop Barnard and play Gully, i know LB has been playing well but i get the feeling we only play 442 to accomodate him and IMO its not a formation to be used to break teams down with. We looked better playing 451 last year with an option to move to 442 if its not working. Another CM and backup to Rickie and we are sorted. (although a couple more than that i won't complain either!) On another note, Delgado always looked good for me (away from Soton) he was just a liability, Delgado was only Lowes deal, at the time we wanted Forlan for 300K but got Delgado for 3.2m, which stinks a bit too much for my liking. As for Weston/Alpines we need players to definately improve the team, you will never ever buy a player to definately improve a team, you just buy players you think will and hope they work out. Kaka was apparantly the best player in the world but hasn't really set the world alight at Real Madrid for example. Stop p*ssing and moaning, and really, Alps, how can you not see why you get so much abuse when you jump from one extreme to the other whilst managing to sit firmly in the grumpy camp ?

I have to agree with shane. This place has just turned boring and f*cking depressive, the mods are closing down and banning all of the comical posters and those that make this place interesting and have kept only one real outspoken poster, their good friend Stu. Until this place gets a bit more lenient and a those people who get annoyed at certian posts just ignore certain posters or become a bit more thicked skinned it will keep going down hill IMO.
