There seems to have been a few bits of info to different people saying the same sort of thing for the same money, i definately think this one has legs. I believe the barnard rumour is just from the Tactics link.

this happening tonight ??

6th january

He did do very well for us, i do agree, he had two season of decent goal scoring, though i look at the bigger picture really, BO's industry, bridge's crosses. Don't forget that the man could probably control a ball further then i could kick it !! And he was a complete Tw*t, which if you had ever came into contact with the ****y pr*ck or knew anyone that had would probably agree.
-
cos he lit up merseyside didn't he ??
-
He was still a pr*ck, and still only got half of his goals due to BO's industry

Sometimes, i really....really can't be bothered. "Don't confuse the issue of permanent and temporary signings, i know many of us posters hate loan deals but at least you can get a judge of the player instead of making a permanent deal and becoming lumbered with a player that possibly won't fit into the side this year let alone the next."

I know, i don't really want to get into an arguement but i feel i answered it in the above couple of posts did i not ??
-
Have you read the rest of that post or do you just take the snippets you think you could get a rise from ??

Not quite TDD but nice try on the wind up

Yeah i have to agree tbh, thats why i am placing faith in pardew to get the best out of lines if he does come. That being said i still feel like we either have not seen the best of hammond or he just is not the player we all thought he was, perhaps a DM will release him a bit more (though still worried about his pace) As for the player reviews, i suppose when you look at the stick spiderman and lallana good last year it shows how fickle and how wrong fans can be some times.
-
I said this on the other thread, all the above plus they have a more mobile midfield. Spiderman has good ball movement but i think it would be more effective if people were making moves all around him. I am still unsure about Hammond, he breaks the play up well but would like to see him breaking forward more. IMO we need a good defensive CM that can release hammond and spiderman a bit more, then i believe 4-5-1 would be the formation of choice.

Cos i don't see the point of bringing in players that are not going to raise the level that we have here, don't get me wrong he could turn out to be a real gem and i do have faith in Pards..... but he has hardly got rave reviews from the gas has he ???? I would have bent over to keep Mellis, it is obvious he has left due to a lack of game time. Will Lines be good enough ?? I hope so. Don't confuse the issue of permanent and temporary signings, i know many of us posters hate loan deals but at least you can get a judge of the player instead of making a permanent deal and becoming lumbered with a player that possibly won't fit into the side this year let alone the next.
-
I am not sure about this lines, not sure he is the player we really need. IMO if he is being brought in to replace Mellis then we will be going backwards, Mellis is younger, i feel looked bright and has a very good future ahead of him. Our priority needs to be a defensive holding midfielder or a midfielder that is going to break forward and make the box, it is a shame Mellis went back to chelsea and i believe he could have been the latter if employed correctly.

I heard 400k, just to be petty lol Donnolly, donnelly, does it matter ?? No stevo, you weren't with two good knees !!!!
-
Donnolly any good ?? And would this rule out a move for perhaps barnard or jackson ?? Still, as i said on previous thread, we need to sort the defensive side of the team, we can score goals already, and lots of them. Lets stop wasting our time with antonio too, unless we can get him free and work on him.

What a miss of a signing Kisnorbo was, absolutely fantastic for them today, i agree with the other posts, the leeds backline was just unbeatable, and from what i heard about our game at their place it was again the leeds backline that really dominated. I seriously believe this is the only real deciding factor between us and them at present, our back line always seems a little shaky and theirs looks solid. Hopefully a few defensive signings over the next few days will see us motoring on the way we really should be, a mobile box to box playmaker wouldn't go a miss either. Fair play to leeds today, Snodgrass will be off too in Jan

Spot on tbh.

You will currently perhaps get the upper hand due to your 'ahem' premier league status (for a few more months anyways), so a lot of neutrals will automatically pipe for you. That being said, you have a smaller fan base, stadium, infrastructure. Less top flight years overall then us. I would definately not say that you are the bigger club, by any stretch of the imagination, christ, you havn't even got any real, big lagit legends. Bigger ?? Boll*cks, you bought the FA cup and now you are rightfully paying the price.

ITV is sh*t in so many ways, every now and again i also get a very sh*t picture on my HDTV from the channel, no matter whats on, this does not happen on any other channel, just ITV. Then you have all the problems they had with the football lol
-
Yes it was, still a quality center half in my book. Though, Millwall have the better brother IMO

Everything is..... 'my understanding' etc. Lies again me thinks. Why is he even bothering to pander to the masses, it is becoming clear that those in charge have no clue and are just pushing Storie into the limelight to take the blame from the deciept etc from the arabs. They clearly are scrabbling around for money, though, the worry for me that is beginning to circle in my mind is that if they have any clue, (and they are not completely stupid surely) they obvliously see a way out of this as otherwise they would not be racking up these short term loans. Don't get me wrong, they are out of the prem but i am worried they will now survive disaster. If the end was that innevitable then the owners would surely take the admin route ?? Instead of scrabbling around for loans ??

I have heard this rumour, i can back up for young tic tacs. Also, the chris lines rumour is gathering pace, but the ward one is the big one ATM. Not the only mutterings in the halls but the only loud ones that are about
