will it be sponsored by ok magazine ??

stevo, i am beginning to be worried about you. Seems there are an increasing amount of threads that end with, does it look gay etc. Sure your ok ?? Lol Seriously though, not really gay but that bright whiteness is surely going to pick up every stain imaginable. Note, don't fart in bed with no boxers on.

Bad decision making ?? Equally we don't know what was actually said within the negotiations ?? Could have been that it seriously was not in best interests of the club (though i don't really see how) ? Personally i just believe that we were in a better position at the time and certain people believed we would have been ok. Plus there is the fact that the whole financial world has gone into complete meltdown since then.

if the fa dont give us a 10 point hit...
Smirking_Saint replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
From what i have read so far the rules state that there are only ramifications if the actual club goes into administration and apparently the rules are quite specific on this. However, we all know how the FA and the football league works and they will probably change the rules anyways to ensure that they make an example out of us etc. Luton and rotheram have already said that if we are let off then they will attempt legal action, however i am thinking, surely, if the situations of us and derby are quite similar (and i believe they are) then we can argue that the football league had set a precedence in the case and subsequently get let off ???? Wishful thinking maybe ?? Hopefully then maybe they will give us an automatic shot at promotion also ???? Ok, probably seriously wishful thinking -
Wow, i am actually quite shocked at how quickly this thread turned into a slagging match. As for alpine, how the hell have i spent months and months going against everyone ?? I have never been one to ever shoot down anyones opinions, i am not sure that anybody really knew what the hell was going on. I was hoping some people would sit down, look at what is happening to the club and realise that the damage is done, time to move on and attempt to help rebuild the club, we are not going to do that with all this pathetic devisions. Understand that the clubs future is in threat people, i really couldn't give a f*ck right now who is right and wrong and who has got one over somebody else and especially not the i told you so ********. The real worry is Southampton FC, end of.

Christ FF if you know anything, even what colour tie lowe is wearing i don't care, we need something to break this aweful silence coming out of the club. God this is crap.

I have spent most of the day reading through thread after thread about people argueing with each other about who is right and who is wrong. Who is to blame and who is not to blame, does it really matter ?? The fact is what has happened has happened, and it could affect the future of our football club. We need to all get together behind the club and the beliefs of the club. For the past 3 seasons (and probably longer) we have been devided but now is not the time. This could turn out to be the most desperate day in the clubs history or could end up being a silver lining we all needed and wanted. End of the day none of us know what the hell is going on so lets put aside the differences and unite.

Lowe started a chain reaction all the way back to the final whistle at the cup final, since then the club has sunk from one of the best moments in recent history to the moment we are in now. He should have invested, but he didn't, he then opened the revolving doors that was St Mary's to all that wished an attempt and even i suspect those that believed they couldn't. He was ousted and then came back, and i do believe he made an attempt to slow down the train that was SFC from careering towards administration whether it was ego, personal gain, guilt or whatever i don't know and don't believe anyone has. He has failed. I just hope his final grace will be to somehow help to bring in new investment to this once proud club, and then remove all trace of himself from this club. Believe me if that last scenario happens it will in no way help to make him the saviour i believe he wants us to see him as but it will help me to forget his legacy.

I am hoping the delay will be for good news, for christ sake we need some. But i don't know. I in no way claim to know anything about an administration process or even a buy out process but could it be that either party have to assess the current situation at the club/SLH before they can come out and make a statement of intention ?

As Chairman Of The Football Board Does That Leave Wilde In Charge
Smirking_Saint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
we don't know we are in admin yet though do we ?? -
I suspect that if they were sold it would significantly reduce the appeal of the club to any investors. Probably was a tough call but realistically would you buy the club if it had no real assets ?? As hopkins has said we would be in a better position to 'sell' the club if we are in a position to maintain our CCC status, or even if in the case of a points deduction we are strong enough to come back up, a fire sale would have doomed us, IMO anyway

Nobody has picked up (from what i have noticed) that Derby County did this a while ago and so they got away with it. I have taken this off of the daily echo website Derby County provided the precedent which has seen Saints avoid a 10-point deduction for their parent company going into administration. Back in October 2003, when ex-Saints boss George Burley was in charge at Pride Park, the Rams' parent company Derby County PLC were taken into receivership by the Co-op bank with debts of around £30m. But Derby County Football Club, a seperate organisation under the umbrella of the Derby County PLC company, were not taken into administration and had no points deduction. Within minutes of Derby County Ltd going into receivership, a consortium took over from them and that company ceased to exist Link - http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4251026.Football_League_says_Saints_will_not_be_deducted_points/ So, hoping and praying that rupey will pull this off !!! I may say a small and very shallow thank you under my breath so nobody actually hears and then usher him from my life/club forever.

Southampton playing the administration card by NEIL ASHTON Last updated at 12:39 AM on 01st April 2009 Southampton's future will be on the line this morning when the holding company that owns the club announces that it has been forced into administration. Rupert Lowe Lowe point: After returning to Southampton as chairman of the PLC last year, Rupert Lowe has now seen the club's holding company enter administration. Sportsmail can reveal that Southampton Leisure Holdings, the vehicle that allowed Rupert Lowe to regain control of the club, will make the announcement to the Alternative Investment Market today. Saints, who are fighting for their lives at the foot of the Championship, will avoid an automatic 10-point penalty by Football League chiefs because it is not the club itself that has been forced to admit financial defeat. Although League chiefs are furious that Saints appear to have bent the rules to their advantage, they have reluctantly accept that the company which owns the majority stake in the club are in financial meltdown. Saints are three points from safety with six games to play in the Championship, but officials at the club have accepted that they have little chance of avoiding relegation. They missed the Football League deadline last week to enter administration with a 10-point penalty in the Championship, but they are actively seeking new backers to keep the club afloat. Staff were told last night that their jobs are under threat and many of them face dismissal or mandatory pay cuts as Saints attempt to restructure their disastrous finances. Southampton have been managed by Dutchman Mark Wotte since Jan Poortvliet resigned in January after six months in charge, but he has been unable to transform their fortunes. The decision means that Saints, who were in the FA Cup final against Arsenal just six years ago, will start life in League One next season without a points penalty. Saints have been forced to close off parts of the ground to cut costs this season and they have been asset-stripping the squad all season. Saints moved to their new stadium in 2001 with a huge sponsorship deal with Friends Provident, but that has since lapsed and they are struggling to meet costs. I think it's real. although interestingly they speak of us being let off the deduction ?? Could it save us ?

i play on ladbrokes and i am up, don't play it too often though and don't play with a lot. Like stanley said graphics don't mean much to me, just need a table, cards and some stupid enough people to match my big bets.

F*ck me and i missed this because ??? Serves me right for watching dave.
-
God i am so f***ing angry, what a crap month this is turning out to be, lucky i got 3 weeks off work because i can't see me getting much sleep.
-
yeah, the reason we are in this sh1t in the first place. He should have f***ed off after the cup final.
-
Sh*t, firstly because i just spent almost an hour reading through this thread, secondly because of this. I could cry, i am still going to hold on to what little faith i have left that it could end up better then feared. As for the selling the parent company and so risking the wrath of the league thing, at the moment it's got to be worth a shot, we will end up with points deductions anyway, and either way if this is true (which i am seriously believing it is with what i have read) we will probably be f***ed after admin anyway.
-
Never liked it, my brother and missus however do and bang on about it, but not for me. If i wanna watch a load of council wastes of space i'll go and hang around St Mary's

Hmm, 2-0 win this weekend against 2nd with a friendly coming up and then 1st in the league this weekend. Could still get promoted i think, team is not great but two decent strikers, my decent CB though got pointlessly red carded and the quality midfielder i just brought has upset the team (w*nker)

Poor signings i agree, but could we really afford to sign anyone else ???
