Futile asking something like that on here then mate.

Nice jugs!

I think that the offer might have to be exceptionally high to overcome Mandaric's dislike for this club! It would be a dream to get KK but I don't know if he'd do it? Tisdale seems a popular choice on here and he has worked on a shoestring and at this level or thereabouts. Give Wotte a little time and see how the team is performing, then maybe look around because by October the knee jerk reactions will be in full flow and there may be a few good managers looking for work.

Starting my new job tomorrow, I will probably be out of the loop until I get near a radio from 16.30 onward. I'm really hoping that I tune in to mass hysteria and the news that the Swiss Guard have formed outside SMS. However, my chickens are not counted and neither are the eggs collected in the one basket. Probably omelette for tea?

kpturner in 'realising that the penny has just dropped' headline? I have, at times, had the abstract theory that 19 and Stan were one and the same. Just, sadly, suffering from a touch of Bi-polar disorder.

May I respectfully suggest that you take part in any? However it might be prudent not to insult other poster's families as you do? You'll note that most posters on here can take a few knocks and quips but draw the line at insulting families.

Flashdance in reverts to character NON shock!

You've omitted Lowe, he couldn't sort us in 5 years (since 2003) and two terms, let alone a lunch hour!

Beggars the question. Where did Keith Harris put his hand?
-
It's self preservation. If you can't change something by your actions then do not get stressed by worrying about it. I got stressed enough by Lowe's actions/inactions at SFC. I'll not get stressed again, I shall remove myself from the situation. That's self preservation, not obsession. Unlike posters who trawl the forum looking for anything that just slightly hints at being anti Lowe.

I was deliberately trying to avoid the line of thought about Lowe and be even handed!

Most good workers get themselves and their tools dirty. (Oooerrr Missus!)

You forgot the ear lobes!

Not wrong but a little previous, knowing our luck!

How could Saints, with a successful youth set up ask parents to entrust their young boys to a club where the manager was under such a suspicion and charge? That was the problem facing Lowe. I can't think of any easy way out of that situation. I do find it sad that it appears from the outside like SFC did not support their man. The main problem lies in the fact that anyone can make an allegation about any other person and the legal system immediately condemns that man, by association and without trial, by naming him. By all means, have a trial and if you find him guilty then name and shame. However, what if he was not named, did not tell his employer and was that type of person? What if he further offended whilst in the employ of SFC? This was a terrible accusation with tragic consequences. DJ must be one strong man to have come through this and the support from his family must have been inspiring. I wish him well for the future and hope that he can find an inner peace. I presume that the scumbags who accused him are now walking free with nobody knowing that they are lying, cheating pieces of crap.

Nick, it's not been proven to me either way to be honest. I'm that cynical after the crap from Lowe (mainly) and the others that I remain unconvinced of his demeanour to the club and his 'customers'. Should Lowe be discovered to be in any consortium then I'd think, to the day that I die, that the weasel was complicit in us going into admin late. You, along with others, understandably have your opinion. The rest of us, understandably, have ours.

Please let this happen! The vultures are circling and some of them have no good intentions whatsoever.

Just read this and you'll really not want this shyster anywhere near us: http://www.chad.co.uk/stags/John-Batchelor-answers-YOUR-questions.3923617.jp The sheer arrogance and stupidity of this man is typified in this answer to a question: robbie33: Is it really such a wise idea to invest in MTFC? After your previous history in football, Mansfield fans are all doom and gloom and a number are not going to buy season tickets next year because of your involvement in the club. How can you turn MTFC into a money making business if there is no confidence in you from businesses and fans alike? How will you persuade people that you will be trying your upmost to make MTFC successful again? In what way do you differ from Keith Haslam, in terms of running a football club? After 6 weeks of knowing him, I'm sure you will have some idea of the way KH works. JB: People will make their own decisions, if (in the words of my illustrious predecessor at York, Douglas Craig) they don't like what we have on offer then they don't have to come do they? I will budget for no fans turning up at the ground, which really every club should do. As you will have seen from my replies, I am not trying to attract negative thinkers, either get behind this, or watch football somewhere else. IF I am successful in achieving ownership, this will be MY club, MY business and up to me to provide entertainment, it is MY risk. Come and watch if you want. I'm sorry if all of that sounds a bit brutal, but those would be the facts of life, and I do not want to get off on the wrong foot by telling anybody something that is misleading, as I said in an earlier response I have that T-shirt. What do you want? I would have thought that it would be better to start off with honest responses. I am in this to make money, I'll only achieve that if MTFC works on and off the pitch. :smt118 Budget for no fans turning up? Errr, no fans = no income in these nether regions of the FL. So, from this, I can see that he had an agenda in Mansfield's case. Put the club to the sword and then sell the ground for whatever. In my humble opinion this man is a shyster and a charlatan! He should be kept at least a million miles away from our club. If you feel we have suffered enough, and we have, then our present suffering would seem like heaven if this man gets his foot in the door.

What the Echo reports does depend on what is being said on here.
-
I think you're on to something here. And that's a polite name for him after his 'sponsorship deal' with persimmon homes when at York City! That report makes Lowe look like an angel! wouldn't it be funny if I was called a Lowe luvvie now?
-
As long as it's not Conoco!
-
Not the sort of character that would suit Saints from this report. Get thee hence Mr Batchelor!
-
The full name was Rupert NineteenCanFlash Lowe. :smt118

I wonder if he'd measure up a certain ex chairman for a pair of boots? Oh! that was just tongue in cheek and I couldn't resist it!
