United and Saints are built on very different foundations. We're a family club, always have been while I've been a fan and always will be I hope, and that is why the 'terrace culture' you talk about is arguably less apparent than at clubs like United.
-
Seriously? ffs I live with three Man Utd fans at Uni, 2 of which are from Hertfordshire. I would love it if we got a result, they would never ever live it down
-
Stephen O'Halloran? do not remember that one at all!
-
Yeah but Charlie Austin is a lot younger. At 26, Tubbs is a little too old imo. If he hasn't made it by now then he propably won't. Still, in NA we trust
-
I can guarantee this will not happen
-
This. (except the "we support our local team" bit, which I think is pretty funny)
-
Absolutely fantastic. Thanks Adam
-
Would be amazing but no chance. That would cost the best part of £8 million!
-
lol. I hope we smash them now. I want them humiliated for the lack of respect they've shown us
-
He's being tracked by Prem clubs so don't think it's a goer. FWIW I think Bart deserves to take over from KD when the time comes, he's waited long enough and i think he'll end up being a great servant for us
-
Is he not already cup tied from the earlier rounds? I think he'll go but not to Millwall. Otherwise they would have just extended his loan
-
Priskin would be immense IMO. I think Le Fondre is more likely though, I just have a feeling that we're in for him. Nothing ITK but I had a similar thought about Barnard last January! Woolford is obviously a very good player, but isn't he predominantly left sided? Unless he can play in other positions then I think he would be a waste of a large transfer fee. Pilkington would make me cream. Lallana and Pilkington on the wings? unbelievable, but I don't want to think about it too much, as it probably won't happen. What about Will Hoskins as a backup striker? He was quite a highly rated youngster IIRC, scored 13 goals in 23 apps for Brizzle this season
-
How old are they both? I agree though regretfully about Mills, but if we do lose AL then we should certainly keep him as a LM. He is after all proven at NPC level which not many of our players can claim!
-
This. However it would give us depth in midfield that we haven't had for as long as I have been supporting saints.
-
Is this Adam (Lallana!)? Glad to hear that the players took time out to chat to you dannysfc, shows we have a good bunch here
-
Not much in it then! Good sign really that we have two LBs that are (imo) NPC standard. It'll be interesting to see who lines up against Blackpool. The next question then is should we bring Mills back? I rate Fish highly but do we need him?
-
Good detective work. Oh well it was fun for a few minutes
-
Indeed. Or else who Nige thinks will deal better with conditions of a particular game
-
As mentioned already the FL show claimed Brum had made a 2 mil bid. I've no reason not to believe the OP but if we have had an offer accepted I doubt it would be the only one or that CA would choose us... Exciting though!
-
Thanks guys. I was hoping for a bit more on potential signings. Oh well, in the OS we trust I guess!
-
Would be really greatful if someone could paraphrase?
-
Yep I feel exactly the same. I was livid when AP was sacked but as info has seeped out of the club it seems like NC made the right decision. I feel more positive about Saints right now than I have in a long time, but unless we string a few more wins together I can't quite escape the apprehension that we'll **** it up in the next game! Long may the success continue under Nigel

Mods could we maybe have a poll on this? I'm interested to see which of these two rates higher in the minds of most fans. IMO Nige has managed them very well so far, playing each in games where he feels they will be more effective. However if you could only play one at LB for the rest of the season, who would you choose and why? Personally I would go for Harding as I feel he is the more devensively able. Don't get me wrong though I rate RD very highly, particularly as a winger. Thoughts?
