First I have zero knowledge of big billionaire business etc, but what plan could he possibly have? He’s letting Rasmus and his crew squander millions and make stupid decisions. If they want to make money, why would they buy players like BBD, Fraser, Taylor etc? Why not only buy cheap young players and hope one turns out amazing? Then if it’s some kind of tax dodging scheme, why not just spend a couple of million on an apartment in Monaco and pay zero income tax? Invest your money in property, big businesses like Amazon, Meta, renewable energy etc? Why spend loads on a football club and make it worse than it was before? This all doesn’t make sense to me, maybe someone with knowledge of these schemes could share their ideas?

SR problem is that they want to copy the City Group but with a fraction of the budget. When was City taken over and how long did it take them to build their multi club business? If I remember rightly they first focused on City before expanding. Something SR should have done to. I am getting serious doubts about Dragan’s entrepreneurial skills. How can someone just sit and watch their hard earned money being squandered by a couple of cowboys?

Good and clear explanation of Englands tactics and what Martin tried us to do at Bournemouth.

Thats partly true, it’s the manager who decides the tactics and he wants the players to kick it round endlessly between the defenders. How many goals have we conceded this season because the defenders eventually make a misplaced pass and the opposition counters on that?
-
Makes sense that the 15m is for both managers. But let’s say the club decides to remove Martin, the costs could be another 7m. That would make it over 20m just on removing managers and then we still have to hire a new one, and his staff. The likes of Moyes and Potter don’t come cheap. Don’t think Dragan would like that and that makes me think we will stick with Martin.
-
I am surprised that we had to pay 15m on getting rid of Jones. More surprised that Dragan has left the people in charge to continue this poor run of recruitment and squandering of his money.

Knutsen turned down Ajax this summer, don’t know why he would sign for us now? Unless we pay him ridiculous wages.
-
The line up pretty much makes sense, might argue that Lallana should start, but we know he cannot play a full game. Now let’s hope the tactics and subs make sense. COYR!

Get Dibling to sign his new contract at halftime, don’t wait any longer Saints!

Got home just in time to see the penalties. Our penalties were well taken and let’s hope we can bring these winning vibes on to the next match.

Difficult decision for the people in charge regarding Martin. Wait to long and we could be to far adrift with a low in confidence squad, but you want to give Martin the time to get the team to gel and fix problems. My concern is that the defense is the same as last season with Bednarek, THB and Stephens, the defense that conceded over 60 goals in the Championship. 2 CBs have been signed but look nowhere near the first team and we’ve scored just 1 in 4 games. I would say give Martin the next 3 games and if we are still on 0 points he has to leave.

We were in Luxembourg for a few days 2 weeks ago. €5 to park the car for a day in the centre of Luxembourg city and public transport was free. My sister used to live in Australia and where she was public transport was free in the weekend. Why don’t they do that over in the UK too? Fewer cars on the roads and even people who have les to spend can easily take a bus in to town, have something to eat and boost the local economy.

Italy is one of my favourite countries I’ve been to. Love the food, Tuscany, the lakes in the north etc. My dad owns a home in northern Italy and loves going there and says it’s an amazing place for holidays, but to live permanently its not to great. Lots of bureaucracy, certain areas struggle with crime and a poor infrastructure.

Ajax have Diant Ramaj on the bench. Was their nr 1 last year but the new trainer has Pasveer (41) as his new nr 1. Ramaj did really well last years and wants to leave for first team football, def worth a look at.

Good goalkeeper but always injured.

It’s certainly worth watching the other videos he’s done after England matches. Like why we were so good in the first half against the Netherlands etc.
-
Talking of Chelsea, would Poch be an option? Plays attacking football, out of work, knows the PL and quite a few of the England players.

If anyone is interested in the tactics and why Spain beat us last night, this bloke explains exactly why Spain are so good and how they outsmarted us.
-
Highly rated in Holland because of his attacking skills and enthusiasm.

Can I ask what you have against carrying a form of ID? Here in Holland they introduced it some 20 odd years ago that we always have to be able to identify ourselves, through passport, driving license or identity card. It makes the work of the police a lot easier instead of having to spend valuable time finding out who’s who. Regarding the conspiracy theorist and other nutcases I would say fuck em. These peoples lives simply exist of making up stories why governments, institutions and wealthy people would want to harm us. Here you have a bunch who claim it would be better to live in Russia than under the tyranny that the EU is according to them. But for some funny reason they decide to remain here and don’t leave for Russia.

If you want to stop the trafficking gangs and boats it will have to come from within the UK. Living in mainland Europe I’ve traveled endless amount of time through the ports of Dunkirk and Calais. In the past the migrants would be waiting along the road to hop on to trucks. Over the last years massive fences and security cameras have been installed and that has made the migrants use the boats now. The French have been tightening security along the beaches, but the migrants and gangs move further south and it’s a cat and mouse game. The French will chase the migrants, but once they are in the water the French stop chasing them for safety reasons. And you have to question how committed the French border control is. Imagine it was the other way round and migrants were on the Kent beaches, would the border patrol risk their lives to stop people leaving the country? To stop people entering the UK illegally, the government should start to make it mandatory to have ID on you all the time, like in Europe. If people have to identify themselves it will make it harder to live under the radar. Also the huge black job market in the UK makes it appealing for illegal workers to come over. In Holland and Germany you have to through security checks to employ someone. Another part of stopping illegal migration is to make it harder for newcomers to claim certain benefits. Once people know it’s hard to receive benefits, plus the ID checks and crackdown of the black job market that should put of people risking their lives on inflatable boats crossing the Channel. Last the migrants know once they enter the UK it’s hard to be deported back to their country of origin. Somehow the government will have to find a way of making it easier and faster to deport illegal migrants. Lots of challenges ahead for the new government. Let’s hope they find a way to tackle these problems.

The Netherlands has, like the UK, lots of good things, but sadly also some things that aren’t going to well. The infrastructure is top notch, public transport is expensive but usually running and the healthcare is expensive but most treatments can be done with short waiting times. The biggest problem we have here is housing. Research shows that we have shortage of 100.000 homes. Under 300.000 euro it’s nearly impossible to find a house, with the west being more expensive than the east. We live 20 minutes from the German border and lots of Dutch people are moving over the border as Germany has cheaper homes. The problem there is that the Germans only mortgage a maximum of 70% of the house price. Meaning you have to cough up 30% yourself. I would like to move back to the Southampton region, where I am from. In an ideal world I would move to the New Forest, but the prices there are likely above my budget. Would love to move back, but the main thing stopping us is work. I have a decent income and it would be hard to get a similar amount in the UK, where I would have to start all over again and hope it works out.

Having lived abroad since the age of 4 I have never been able to vote. Not in the UK because I haven’t lived there in the past 5 years and not in Holland because I don’t have Dutch citizenship. I have watched UK politics from abroad and deciding to vote for must be a right pain. To get the UK moving forward tough decisions have to be made and I doubt the Tories, Labour or Lib Dems have the courage to do that. The NHS is shocking, the infrastructure is poor and leaving the EU was the wrong decision (for Brits abroad and businesses doing business with mainland Europe). It sounds like a rant, but I want nothing less then the UK prospering for the people living there and so I can convince my partner that moving back to the UK is best for us (she’s still in doubt).

Mate this is absolute nonsense that people don’t like Rasmus because he’s young, looks good and is Danish (I’ve been to Denmark and the people there are kind and warming). The thing with Rasmus is that he is just full of shit. He talks a lot, acts like he’s some kind of guru and reinvents everything we do. So far he and Sports Republic have failed miserably with their mission of making us better and have squandered millions. How Dragan can’t see this is beyond me. When businesses go through staff the speed we do, it often means something within the structure isn’t going well or there’s a bad vibe on the work floor. Might be best if Rasmus and his team start working on this because if you look at our location and facilities it’s must attract people to come and work here.
