How did you come to supporting NEC?
-
If I remember rightly Schneiderlin played a great assist for one of the goals. If that had been a City or Liverpool player doing that the pundits would be going on for ages about it.
-
This then another year in the Championship. It would have been the same result if we went up a year later with Martin and his tactics and the poor recruitment. Maybe best if we do beat Derby’s record, that could result in Dragen making more drastic changes to this SR scam. Remove more people and recruit others who have got good track records at other clubs. Find someone who says you cannot go cheap in the PL and expect to survive. And don’t be so obsessed with data. Data should be assisting, not leading in recruiting new players.
-
What might help is to somehow get the national press to report more on SR’s terrible leadership. Blackmore and House aren’t going to ask difficult questions to SR as they could easily lose their contacts within the club. If we end up with the lowest points tally at the end of the season we might get more articles from the press, and SR would laughed at nation wide.

We played good attacking football but sadly it ended in a narrow defeat.

Do Sports Republic still do that open talk forum?
Dr. Kucho replied to The very right reverend's topic in The Saints
Does Rasmus still do his ‘motivational talks’? Maybe we could pretend to be some local up and coming entrepreneurs and book him for a Q&A. Duckhunter to host the event. -
What an absolute helmet.

Juric has just started in the busiest time of the year. He has to implement a new style, tighten up the defense, find a way we can score goals all in a few training sessions around the festive period. Edit: and get the players fitter.

Thinking back of Martin’s sacking, it happened so soon after the match and that’s something you don’t see very often. I wonder if it was decided during the match that he had to go or if Dragan demanded it was done immediately. With Jones I believe it was rumored that he had to get a result against Wolves (and we all know JWP squared the ball instead of hitting the target in the last minute). Even then it was the day after that the news came we sacked Jones. Just thinking back and maybe someone had heard something how it led up to his removal.

Napalm Death, love listening to them whilst training.
-
Pompey, he wants to stay in the area because of Lucy.
-
No beard, no fancy hair, doesn’t wear tight jeans, doesn’t vape, he clearly doesn’t the fit the profile. Tell your colleague what he said is bullshit and he’s not ITK.
-
Don’t know much about Juric’s managerial skills and the football he sets his teams up to play, but read in an article he’s a metal fan and names Carcas and Napalm Death among his favourite bands. Music wise that’s a yes from me.

Don’t know if we were linked, but just popped up on LiveScore that Wolves are to hire Vitor Pereira from Al Shabab.

Amazing offer this January at Southampton FC, buy 2 PL experienced players, a German and Ghanaian international for just 12 million and get a Chili international also with PL experience for free! Offer runs till January 31, no refund.

This topic is giving me false hope and making me spend to much time on here instead of getting any work done. Every time the phone ‘pings’ I look and hope it’s an update from LiveScore telling me he’s been sacked.
-
Exactly, Jones’s sacking was made public on Sunday.
-
Rohl’s doing a good job at Wednesday and would be a good replacement for Martin. Problem is he has never failed at a club so Wankerson wouldn’t be interested.
-
We could start a crowdfunding to help the club. As long as Rasmus doesn’t get to pick the next manager.
-
Martin IMHO gets an easy ride from the press. They should be asking him more direct questions about his formation and why he continues whilst it obviously isn’t working etc.
-
Or been Christmas shopping in Gunwarf..
-
Really? Last I heard he would be back in 2 weeks..

I cannot decide if Martin is doing a good job for Sports Republic or they don’t have the funds to remove him. In a good job I mean that Sport Republic want to make money and care less about our club. So far they are on course to make huge profits on Dibling, Harwood-Bellis and Fernandes, and that’s their main goal. So, in their perspective, who cares about the league table and let’s make money. Then at the end of the season drop down a league and buy or intro new talent. Being in the Championship means players are cheaper and all they have to do is get promoted within 2 seasons. All Martin has to do is play City football and shop potential buyers that our players can play their brand of football. Just buy/retain a group of players who are top Championship players like Fraser, Armstrong, Stephens etc and have young talent making up the numbers and hope they are good enough to make a healthy profit on. The good championship players will make sure you end up near the top of that league and then it’s simply one, maybe more if we are lucky, seasons in the Premier League shop window for the talented young players to show their talent and be sold. Apologies this must sound far fetched but I just don’t have a clue what Sport Republic want and their main goal is (except making money).

Who’s the co-commentator?

Should Dragan Šolak remove Rasmus Ankersen from the SFC board?
Dr. Kucho replied to Dark Munster's topic in The Saints
That’s been said many times that Giles started Brentfords rise, but what did Ankersen do there and where can he be credited for? It’s good the fans are questioning Ankersen’s work at the club, but did anyone really expect an honest answer from Blackmore? His answers will always be PR talk, like all these Q&As. Lineker tends to say what he thinks on his Podcast, but most journalists don’t want to upset the club and risk losing their sources.
