Post Match Reaction: Manchester United 1-1 SAINTS
Dr. Kucho replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
What has happened to Lallana over the summer? He was a great player, but has become superb and gained some pace. Great effort by the whole team, everyone played their part, and unbeaten now for how many games? -
And another Mayflower Park design, http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=703670 (scroll down to post nr 12)

To move back on topic from this boring Southampton v Liverpool nonsense, what should Southampton City Councill do to improve our city? Improvements would be, - Demolishing West Quay and the business park behind West Quay. - Rebuilding the city centre - improving infrastructure - Upgrading Mayflower park and the waterfront
-
Southampton might not be the most exciting city, but like others have said, def not in the worst 10 of Britain. Hope this article makes the coucil leaders think and gets them started on making plans to improve the city.

Having lived in the Netherlands I can apply for Dutch citizenship, though I have never considered doing that. I will be English to the day I die.
-
Clyne, with Chambers going to right back. Or maybe the club think Targett is ready to be back up for Shaw.
-
27m plus Mata and we have a deal.
-
Perfect match, could have had more goals if it wasnt for Mignolet and that absolute bellend of a linesman, what was he thinking at times! Might not have scored many goals this season, but we have only conceded 2.
-
Osvaldo is a joy to watch, the way he controlls the ball. Good first half against a strong Liverpool.
-
Poor game, as Gary Neville stated, we have to little width. Would like to see us lining up like this next week: ------------- Boruc ------------ Clyne ---- Fonte --- Lovren--- Shaw ------ Cork ----- Schneiderlin---- Osvaldo ----- Ward Prowse ---- Lallana ------------- Lambert ---------- Wanyama started well against WBA, but has been poor lately.
-
V poor first half, think we need Davis or JWP on. Way to little movement from us. In other news, FC Utrecht are leading 2-1 thanks to goals from De Ridder.
-
I dont want to jump on the bandwagon, but Fox has been very poor at left back. Decent going forwards, but once Norwich hit us on the break, Fox isnt to be seen on the LB position. Wanyama hasnt been great today either, losing to many balls. JWP and Chambers having a good game, really starting to become a fan JWP, amazing free kicks. Chambers making some good runs down the right. Lallana also showing his class today.

Steve de Ridder has a pop at English football culture

I see its Voetbal International that interviewed him. Voetbal International is a weekly football magazine here in The Netherlands, once the new magazine is published (with Schteeeeveee,s interview), I will translate the interview and post it on here. -
Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland

Ward-Prowse is going to one hell of a player if he continues like this. His set pieces are just amazing. Thought it was a poor game by are standards with many players being avarage today. -
I am finding this game frustrating. Sadly cant see us scoring, its one of those days..
-
10m Would love to see someone from Manure walk up to Cortese say they want Shaw for 10m. Honestly, is it a coincidence that none of our players have left this summer/winter? Could it be that Cortese isnt the easiest to deal with.
-
I'll believe it once its on the OS/BBC/Alex cook has tweeted it, till then its just a rumour:)
-
Well looking forward to this. As its the first game of the season and being Saints I will be pleased with a draw. My guess, 2-2 Rodriquez and Puncheon. COYR

Are people more interested in Wednesdays international now?

I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw an England game, but will be watching tomorrow. -
This goal just edges the goal against City (as its against the Skates), love the celebrations and the commentary, just as with City goal.
-
Where did Peter Kennaugh come from? The work he did up front today was amazing, as were his downhill skills. If he keeps up this work he could become a contender for the yellow jersey in a few years.

Definitely looked lean on the pictures the club posted yesterday http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/gallery-pre-season-fitness-tests-890708.aspx. SRL looks to have lost some weight too.
